I've been hearing this rumor EVERYWHERE and it's driving insane!!!! scream

Does anyone know if he really is going to leave Doctor Who?!?! crying

There is absolutely nothing to support that rumor. There will be a break for a year where they will make a few movies, but not true season, but hes not quitting. As far as I know he is signed up for a few years still.

David is officially confirmed for next year's specials. After that, there has been no announcement about whether he is continuing with the role, but I have seen no indications that he is not.

According to some sources (a few of which are, shall we say, less than reliable), he has been offered a £1.5 million ($3 million) deal to do the next series.

I check his website here daily for any official news.

Unless it is on there, or the BBC make an official statement, don't worry.

DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING UNTIL OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED!!!

River Song. I hope they leave that as a "missing adventure" that takes place somewhere between Donna and whoever comes next. Because do we really want to have to watch the whole process of the Doctor falling in love and perhaps even marrying her (the possible reason he would have had to tell her his name)?

I think there is a chance he'll last longer than 8 years. I certainly would love to see him do so, he's my second favorite Doctor so far, next to the 9th, which I can't do anything to bring him back. But you never know with David, he claimed that he'll keep the public guessing as to when he'll quit.

I personally think he'll last 6 years, before he either gets sick of it, or the fans cry out for a new one.
