Yeah, I just wanted to say that. I wrote up my thoughts on the movie, but I was wondering if you guys had seen it and what you thought.

The Dark Knight was the best movie I've ever seen in my life.

ETA: After reading, you might be interested to know that there is a "Batman and Philosophy" book coming out, the next in the line of "and Philosophy" series. biggrin

Also, I'm very pleased with the connection between Joker's scars and the fact that his words are his most dangerous weapons. I hadn't made that connection.

I really liked the movie. It was intense. I just had a hard time understanding the whole hero vs. guardian thing, how, at the end of the movie, they said that Batman wasn't a hero but more like Gotham's guardian. But yeah, I really liked it. I was a fan of Batman since the good old animated series from the '90s.

Is it true that The Dark Knight was a sequel to Batman Begins? I haven't seen Batman Begins, so I just wanted to know if seeing it would help me understand this one better. 3nodding

You definitely want to see the first one.

The hero/guardian thing matters, but don't worry too much about it - the characters' understanding of their own situation isn't perfect. What they did realize that was accurate was who really won.

I just watched it, and it was pretty good. I was a little tiny bit disappointed about the Batman in The Dark Knight...I don't know why...but it just wasn't him...don't really know how to explain...BUT Joker was A LOT better than what I expected him to be in the movie! I really like the Joker in the movie..even though he's more crazy and cruel...but he still has some humor just like the Joker in the animated series. LOL! Anyways, I actually cried at the end. crying crying crying

I saw the movie too. I thought it was well... wow. I think heath ledger (R.I.P.) did an amazing job playing the role of the joker. I was highly impressed with his acting.
I will definitely buy the movie when it comes out on video.
