Time...seemed to pass so fast.
It had already been one year since she had entered Ouran. And now she was a second year. She, Mitsuko, Takumi, Roka, Katsuo...and all the others were now seniors.
They were all older, and supposedly wiser. Mother had lectured her about being a senior; it meant taking care of her juniors, building good relations (That topic always seemed to be raised up every time they talked), being more mature. She knew Shiori Sagawa meant for her to take on more responsibilities as the heir, and also develop more...and better designs.
Though honestly, she still saw nothing wrong with her designs. Minori loved to go with a simple but beautiful design as seen from the front, but when the model turned, she wanted to blow them off with an intricate, unique design. That was her style, and she didn't comprehend why her mother refused to see her way. Even father had complimented her.
She was her father's little princess after all, but she wished that her mother would show her more concern. More motherly love, more care. Even when she had sprained her ankle, she didn't get a hug, or worried questions, just a demand for an explanation.
Her ankle was fine now, yet she still couldn't get that matter out of her mind.
Minori had came early today, and walked through the halls, looking around and smiling fondly at the memories they had in their first year. She remembered when she had been rather...untidy in the first day, pushing up her sleeves. She had gotten used to the uniform now, yet she was still rather...uncomfortable? No, that wasn't the word. It just seemed funny to be wearing it again after the holidays. Her hair was now worn down instead of tied up in the usual purple ribbon that adorned her ebony locks last year.
And of course, the girl had remembered to check her bag before she left the house, in case Rosemarie decided to relieve last year's memories by hiding away in her bag...and causing Roka's allergies to act up again. The girl had also checked her uniform for any stray cat hairs before she came. She wasn't about to take any chances, although she was slightly annoyed at him about the Mitsuko thing.

He'd been hearing it said for weeks, yet it still seemed strange for Audric to say it himself. I'm a second year... he thought in amazment. Truth be told he still felt like the same little kid who loved to roll around in the grass and make mudpies for dessert. On the outside he knew others saw him as a somewhat grown up and mature person, but this isn't exactly who Audric wanted to be. He wanted to continue living the carelife he'd gotten to enjoy when he was younger. Soon he'd have to start dealing with responsiblities such as finding a job and eventually a college. Not to mention Audric felt like he was starting this year out like a newborn chick. Then again, he was only going to be in 2B, so maybe that would leave enough time for more mudpies. This thought did provide Audric with some much needed comfort.
But on the brightside, Audric would be able to enjoy the company of those he hadn't been able to spend time with during the summer. He'd seen Satu and Mitsuko, and even met a new girl named Hamako, but no others. Perhaps he could convince the music club to do some sort of musical so they could see his new found acting skills...
Before he finally stepped foot on the school grounds, Audric had to face the scrutinizing words of his parents. They insisted on accompanying Audric in the car to the school. Of course he knew some sort of job or college talk was coming, since they had been dropping some hints in every conversation. Which annoyed Audric a tad since he still had a little ways to go. Audric's parents had a lot of children who all had to share their parents' attention, so he wasn't too close to them. Most of the time they were either working or off with one of his brothers or sisters. So the atmosphere inside the car was thick and tense. They said all the usually blah stuff...get a job, gain more responsiblities...things every parent is forced to tell their child. When it was time for him to get out of the car his mother whispered a small good-bye and that was it.
Audric tugged at the sleeves of his jacket, anxious to see what everyone's reaction would be to him. His fear at the moment was being exposed in front of everyone's eyes, but maybe he'd be able to put up a front until it was time to set up his room. Or, and this is what he truly hoped would happen, he'd be able to forget about his dilema for a while; he could use some stress relief right about now.

Satu walked into the entrance of the school, his newly fitting school uniform feeling much better on his. He had discovered to his horror yesterday evening that his old uniform was too small for him. He had grown several inches over the last year and summer and was now standing at a very tall 6'2. His father was much taller then him still but his mother was japanese so it wasn't likely for him to grow all that much taller, or so he hoped anyway. First years that passed stared at him with wide eyes and it was all that Satu could do to not turn bright red.
It didn't help that his blond hair had grown quite a bit over the summer, now shoulder length. His pink streaks from the dare he had taken over the summer still stood out brightly, after being redyed by his very eagers sisters. All of this made Satu stand out quite a bit and he wasn't too happy about it. But he was here now and had to deal with his newfound height.
As he got into the halls he took a deep breath, taking in the smell that he missed so much. He had missed Ouran quite a lot over the summer. He missed his friends and the music room and the teachers and the grounds. Everything. When Satu had come into Ouran first he was a self centered, spoilt little boy with very few friends and made sure that people never saw the real him. It was amazing how much a year could change a person. Now Satu was much more comfortable with himself, letting people know how he really felt and had even made a few friends, all of which he was so excited to see.
Satu massed on of the music rooms but, for once in his life, kept walking, much more excited to see his friends after an all too long summer. A year ago he wouldn't have cared, locking himself up in the music room and indulging himself. But now he was different and all he wanted to do was to see his friends again, which he missed all to much. After all most of them went to foreign countries. Satu had spent most of his in Italy, his Italian accent could be heard ever so slightly when he spoke now. He was much more tanned now, the summer in Rome bringing his skin back to it's original colour.
Satu breathed in as he found the classroom for 2-B, happy to be back. He looked around, seeing 2-A on his left and 2-C on his right. "I'm home!" he muttered happily to himself.

Tarii was not having the best morning, so to speak. She actually didn't wake up at the usual time of 7:30am. No, she woke up even earlier than that. About 6:15am actually. It was quite the bother when she couldn't even fall back into her bed and just continue to sleep. So shes been up since and now it was starting to effect her.
She was probably the first to come to school, 7:45am, at such an early hour in the day. Albeit she didn't immediately go to class. First she decided to duck out in the library. She wanted to write in that silly notebook journal her mother constantly lectured her on writing in. What point was there she didn't know but she knew what would happen if she didn't obey her mother's wishes.
After that she quickly went down into the cafe. Obviously no students were there but she was asked by her father to check up on the place, seeing as he endorsed it. The workers greeted her happily like they always did. She didn't blame them for acting so cheerful when they probably woke up earlier than she did; after all they knew why she was here. Unlike today she didn't stay for long and just asked for a small biscuit. They offered to her for free but she declined. The food was so well done she felt that the bakers deserved money for making it in such a good way.
On the way to the 2B class she stopped in the bathroom. The bathrooms were as always very huge and exquisite. They even had full body mirrors. She washed her hands of the biscuit crumbs and then looked at herself in the mirror. During the time she was away she didn't grow much taller at all, but her look had changed.
It was sadly a bit chilly outside so she was wearing a long brown jacket and even a scarf. Instead of black shoes and stockings she wore white socks that couldn't be seen because red boots were covering them. Amazingly the school accepted this as long as she wore the original uniform, the yellow dress, along with it. It was annoying but she managed quite nicely.
When she was finished it was around 8:15am. She decided that she may as well go to class now. On the way she noticed many new faces that she never seen before. The new students. It was probably only then that she dawned on the realization that she was a senior now. She was older, maybe a bit wiser, and different. It was an odd feeling but at the same time a comforting one. Whether she liked it or not was yet to be decided.
Stuffing a hand into her jacket pocket she found a folded scrap of paper. How did that get inside? she pondered. Sighing she opened up the folds and read the message in the distinctive handwriting of her head maid.
Dear Karin,
Don't get into trouble. Especially with boys.
~Mazuka
As quickly as she found it she tore it up into pieces and threw it out in the wastebasket. Her maid was about as paranoid as a mother should be. Which was strange since her own mother wasn't that worried about her dating. She sighed, annoyed at the words, and went off towards the classroom. Hopefully a couple people might have been inside already

Well, it's back to blue and black... Takumi straightened his tie and brushed off his uniform as he made his way across the school grounds. And a dash of red. He smiled to himself, lifting a hand to touch the tips of his hair lightly.
It had been a wonderful summer, and for a while he'd almost forgotten there was still school. The months had been clear of classes, schoolwork, and the stress of doing well academically under the pressure of his father. Always his father. Ever since the death of Takumi's mother, the man had immersed himself in his work, becoming more serious and demanding of his son and heir. He believed his older child to be too careless and laidback, unsuitable for successfully taking over a company.
And that's where I'll prove him wrong, the boy thought with a small huff. The school year being back in session meant it was back to worrying about grades and his father's approval. Yet starting the second year at Ouran also meant seeing his friends and fellow classmates again, not to mention the events that were sure to come from the clubs everyone had joined. For a moment the good outweighed the bad, and Takumi felt that it was going to be alright after all.
Snapping out of his thoughts, he realized that he had been heading towards his previous classroom from the year before. With a slight laugh, the boy readjusted the strap over his shoulder and turned from the hall. There was still some time before class was to start, and he decided to walk the halls in search of familiar faces. It would be nice to talk to someone before the place swarmed with students getting to their classrooms.
I'll just stay close to 2-A so I'm not late. Takumi smiled as he remembered how exactly one year ago, he had almost been tardy on the first day. What an embarrassment that had been!

Kres thought he was late. Actually, he wasn't, but the important thing to consider is that he believed he was late and so had spent the entire ride to school lounging in an even more determinedly carefree posture than usual, prompting several lectures from the driver on how he was going to be strangled by his own seatbelt should the driver have to make a sudden stop. Luckily no such stop was required and the only real sign of his angry slouching was an incredibly wrinkled blue jacket and mussed hair. (It was always messy, and hardly anything about Kres was in order, ever, anyway.)
He tossed his backpack over one shoulder- he didn't have anything school-related in it yet obviously, it was just a notebook and a couple of car-related magazines in German- and sat down on one of the nearby benches. It looked like that idiot hadn't beaten him there after all, despite all threats of finding his seat and putting a tack or red paint on it. And if Connor (alias Carrot) hadn't arrived yet, it meant he was early, and not late at all.
That was a little irritating.

Connor was not, in truth, a morning person, something he himself forgot to note, and any desires of committing a prank of any sort were completely disregarded - he had had a hard enough time just getting up that day, let alone getting to the school early enough to plot anything decent. Hell, he didn't even want to be there in the first place and was pretty sure the only reason he was was that his parents had seen him off personally, much to his dismay (they were way too cheerful sometimes).
And, oh, joy, what made the morning even better was seeing his best friend as soon as he got out of the car, wearing that ridiculous mask that could be seen from, like, twenty yards away. Even so, he had a choice, the first meaning facing one obnoxious freak and the other facing seemingly endless public displays of affection from his parents, both of which he didn't like, but the latter was far, far worse.
"Kres, you know how stupid you look, right?" Connor laughed, walking up to his friend. "You could have at least tried to look decent, yeah?"

"Hi Audric!" Mitsuko greeted as she whooshed past the boy, patting his head. Before giving him a chance to reply, she hurried off, grinning at her friend over her shoulder. "Your class is across from mine - I'll see you there!"
'I can't believe it's already been a year!' Mitsuko smiled from ear to ear as she hurried along the hallways. Every so often she'd exchange a greeting or wave with acquaintances, or turn to take a look at some of the new first year students. To think that they were second-year students now! She certainly didn't feel any older or any more mature. Then again, this is Mitsuko we're talking about - her name and the very word 'mature' shouldn't belong in the same sentence.
To say that she was excited was a complete and utter understatement. Her eyes shone happily, and from the looks of it, she had forgotten the encounter with her parents this morning. They had woken her up earlier than usual to go over a couple of rules. It was all the basic stuff - since it was the first day of school, she should make a good impression on new students. Family allies, businesses, blah blah blah. It was kind of pointless to tell Mitsuko these kinds of things. All it did was go in one ear, and out the other.
Frankly, she could care less about family allies and businesses. If she could help it, she would never become like either of her parents, who were almost obsessive in her honest opinion. Not that she didn't love them - she just thought they were taking this wealthy family thing too seriously. When she said that she merely wanted to make friends, that's exactly what she meant. There weren't really an ulterior motives with Mitsuko (though that's probably because she's so dense herself).
As she passed their new class, Class 2-A, the girl noted a familar figure a few paces aay from her. Bouncing up to him, she pat his shoulder. "Takumi-kun, good morning! Have you seen Minori-chan yet?" She turned, holding her hand up to her eyes as she scanned to hallways.

"Oh goodness, I think I am going to be late!" huffed the dark brown locked girl as she darted her way down a corridor. Hamako huffed once more, bending slightly on her knees and resting her palms against them to catch her breath. Akito, her brother, had waked her late since he believed, "she looked peaceful with her ruffled hair on the pillow." Well, obvious to come when her brother is home schooled. Huffing down the corridor, she made a dash behind another. Hamako was obviously too tired to actually make out where she was going, but that also brought up the conclusion that made her lost.
"Where...am I?" Hamako said as she turned left to right staring out toward the windows than to the doors that apparently lead to classrooms. Pulling herself up, she turned to her bag. Nestled lightly with his head sticking out was Lucas, her companion since young. "Do you have any idea where we might be Lucas?" she asked the doll, pulling him out of his seated enclosure. "Seems I took a wrong turn...Oh what unfortunate luck..." Sighing, she glared at Lucas. "Sometimes you are not much help Lucas!" she spoke to the doll in anger before reminising through her bag. Her shoulder tote carried much actually; from books for several classes she believed she would be taking to lucky charms to wish for a grand school year. Tapping down the same hallway she came from, she thought to herself aloud. "I am in Class 1b...? I wonder if I will meet anyone I know..." she spoke. "Oh goodness, I hope the people and teachers here are friendly!"
Jittering, she thought of the onslaught of what a terrible teacher might be and the dismaying way a student might treat her. Fidgeting, just thinking about it made her nervous! Her fidgetting continued until she lost her grip of Lucas. As he tumbled, Hamako dashed to his need and caught him. "Goodness Lucas, be more careful next time!" she glared as she hitched Lucas back on her arm. Bringing back up her tote, she stepped her way over to find her classroom.

He wanted coffee. No, he desperately needed some. Katsuo wandered sleepily into the 1B classroom, automatically going to the desk that he had been sitting in during the last school year. His head collided quickly with the hardwood surface, a nice dark sleep once again enve-
"Sempai, what are you doing?"
So much for that. He sighed, turning his head and staring blankly at the freshman. "What do you mean, what am I doing? Sleeping, obviously." He murmured back, disappointed that his near-sleep had been interrupted already.
"What I mean is, I think you're in the wrong room. You're going to be late to class!" The younger boy pleaded, vaguely recognizing the blue-haired teen.
"And what do you care?" He mumbled with another sigh. His head turned away from the one that was bothering him, instead facing toward the chalkboard at the front of the room.
"You're in my seat."
---
Katsuo was soon out in the hallways, bag slung over his shoulder and eyes only half-open. "Great, so much for that." By this point, he'd probably be late by the time he found the classroom. A conversation he'd had with Audric a few months previous, however, reminded him that he needn't worry about being late. Almost everyone from 1B was returning -they'd have his back, he was sure. He was actually almost to his classroom when he saw someone who seemed to be lost.
The girl was talking to herself, from the looks of it. Since he still had a little time to kill before class, the boy thought nothing of smiling warmly to her. "You all right, there? Need any help?" He offered to the apparent freshman. She'd apparently dropped some sort of doll before he'd gotten there, but whatever it was, it was gone by the time he'd caught up to her.
As usual, he looked slightly less formal than the uniform was supposed to allow him to be. He still wore all the components, of course: the tie, the jacket, the white undershirt with black pants, but most of it was loose, save the pants. His jacket wasn't buttoned up all the way, and his tie wasn't completely up to his neck. And it would stay that way until some teacher scolded him about it, but for now, he relished the comfort it gave him.

Yukiko huffed under her breath as yet another upperclassmen bumped into her without so much as an apology, and almost sent her books flying. They weren't total strangers on the street, they could have more manners with each other!
A few more steps forward was all it took for the freshmen to forget her recent woes, and light up with an enthusiastic grin. She had made it to the arts department area of the school, where of course it was absolutely gorgeous from the crystal chandeliers up top, exquisite artwork on the walls, to the shine of the floor. She couldn't wait to find her friends so they could examine it all together, that would probably be one of the grandest adventures for the beginning of the year.
Coming to this area had completely brightened her spirits, this was hopefully where she would be spending most of her free time. Playing music, listening and composing, as well as doing the physical painting and sculpting. It was going to be a fun run at this school, she could tell already. But while she enjoyed the sights, she had to think about where she was supposed to be... English and Languages.
Yukiko was lost.
Well, she wasn't really lost... she was just in the wrong place and didn't know how to get to the right one. That's all it was.
Smoothing out the front of her vibrant yellow dress, she took some papers out of her messenger bag and looked them over. One was her schedule, and the other was a school map. She wasn't dense in the aspects of finding her way around the place, but walking around the empty halls with a guide was different than trying to survive the halls while getting to your destination. Absentmindedly chewing on her lower lip, she turned around and began her trek back to where she assumed she should be. Scanning the crowd randomly for familiar faces.

He made an irritated face and made as if to kick Connor. Of course he didn't really, mostly because it was the first day and he didn't want to get in trouble (so early in the year, anyway). "Nice hair," he snickered, as his friend's hair was also sticking up at odd angles. It was normal for Kres, but usually Connor looked a little more put together. "Your parents again, a*****e?"
(Public displays of affection were looked down upon by the Saint family, which is why he had been shuttled off in a chauffeured car instead of with his parents and siblings. That happened to be why Kres considered the trials and tribulations of Connor extremely funny, almost like cable.)
"You're also in 1B?" He already knew the answer, it was just for posterity really. Even better, he knew where the classroom was- his parents had demanded he go on a guided tour of the school, and he'd gone. While it had been mostly a waste of time, he knew where to find his room and wouldn't look like a total waste of space.

Hamako yipped lightly when she heard the voice of another offer some support to her. "Um...Y-yes!" she stuttered as it was utterly embarrassing for her to be discovered lost in her new school. When she turned, she noticed it was actually one of her senpais offering help towards her. Bowing slightly, Hamako looked back up at her senpai. "C-can you p-point me towards C-Classroom 1B?" she stammered. Speaking to people she did not know confounded her; plus she had already made a fool out of herself before by thinking to herself aloud.
She smothered out her yellow uniform dress before staring back at Lucas in which she had perched back into her tote. Her companion just stared his cascaded eyes out into random space not really making an attempt to move or talk. She glared at him once more reassuring him it was not only her brother that made her late. She had really gotten herself into a mess today. She looked awful. Her brown hair was ruffled up and down with slight strands sticking out here or there. The bags under her eyes were large from too much sleeping and much worry. Her appearance itself made her looked like a running chicken trying to save its life.

"Shut up, dumbass," he muttered, attempting to mat down the wild strands of hair, not that he was at all successful, he just felt the need to try - not to mention he was a little upset that his taunt had gotten blown off so easily. "There's nothing amusing about this and, besides, you look about ten times worse than me," he retorted, knowing full well the other wouldn't care, but it made him feel better just saying it, really.
Connor wished his parents, particularly his mom, didn't have to be so, well, them at times. If they weren't, he wouldn't have to be laughed at so much, damnit.
He thought about his answer for a moment. "Yeah, but, to be honest, I was hoping we wouldn't have to be in the same class. I'll have to see your ugly mug way too often for my liking, now, Croissant," he finished with a sigh. "Speaking of, why don't we get going? Standing here is getting old fast."

It wasn't long before Audric entered the school grounds that he met a familiar face: Mitsuko. Audric was extremely happy to see her, since Mitsuko had a way of never letting life get her down. This was the exact kind of attitude he needed to lift himself up high enough to make it through this first day. It was too bad they could only exchange a small greeting before Mitsuko was off to her own room.
"Hey Mitsuko!" Audric replied happily, although she had already rushed past him and probably didn't hear him. Luckily their classrooms were so close together, perhaps they'd be able to meet up for lunch or something. Audric had just seen Mitsuko not too long ago, but in his mind it'd been ages.
After Mitsuko was safely tucked away in her room and Audric's hair was back in place, he turned around and entered classroom 2B. Once inside he was greeted with the same old desks he'd left behind those few months ago. In them sat some more familiars: Tarii and Satu. Audric smiled and sighed with relief; it was a comforting thought knowing that maybe everything wouldn't be all that different from his first year. Of course Audric didn't want everything to stay the same, but he didn't want an overwhelming amount of change either. Walking in, Audric tried his best to chose a seat that was somewhat near all of these people. He wasn't too successfully, but that didn't bother him.
With nothing original coming to mind, Audric said to all of them quietly, "Hey you guys. Ready for another year?"
