AIM Log -- Felyn & Safaia Misri & Chapua It was a lazy day, or perhaps he was simply a lazy lion, but either way - he found the atmosphere around him to be quite lulling and peaceful. He was stretched out on a large, short rock - the surface was warm where it had been baking in the sun before he found it. A yawn cracked his jaws as he glanced up at the position of the sun, watching it through half-lidded eyes. He didn't have much motivation in life, other than the wanderlust that seemed to constantly linger over him. He had no family to find, no dream to aspire to. In fact, if he cared to admit it, the little affairs he had with ladies (whenever possible) were probably the only things he did that were truly fun and interesting. He liked his life, though, despite it all. Chapua had left early that morning, promising to not be out all day and to reutrn home safely, as well as in good health. She had begun her morning with a simple trot, but the urge to run had become too great. Stretching her still healing limbs was risky, but so far she had been successful in keeping her promises. While sore, she didn't feel any surge in pain. It would be a while before she could do her faster running, but it still felt good for the wind to claw at her body as she tore through the air. She had slowed her pace to a jog, not letting her muscles tense up too quickly after the run, letting herself catch her breathe. It was invigorating, but equally tiring. She lazily lowered her eyes, wanting nothing more than a good nap. Deciding that the best course of action was to rest before returning home, she began investigating for a pleseant spot to relax. Then she saw it. Him. Her first thought was amazement. How was something simply so bright? Jicho's coat had it's own amazing colours, but for this lion's....it almost seemed like it would hurt if you looked for too long. Intrigued, she slowed down to a walk, taking slow steps towards him. She was unfamiliar with lions, and knew just by their size what they could do to a small cheetah like her. Due to his rather lazy, dulled down senses at the moment, he wasn't even aware of her approach. It was to be expected - he wasn't always the most aware in situations like this. He had plenty of experience in situations where he expected to be in trouble, but this didn't happen to be one, and he felt he was in his right to not be on edge. However, some part of that internal instinct finally caused him to flick his eyes up to look at her, staring for a moment before he pushed himself up into a more collected position instead of his lazy sprawl. In an instant, he had a rather amused smile on his mug, a gleam in his eyes of something, though it was obviously not malicious in any form. "Well, hello there," he purred out, cocking his head slightly as he eyed her.Chapua froze for a moment, not quite sure of how to take this. It was apparent that there were no threats in any way, but the way that he spoke, and even carried his head was a little odd to her. While it didn't firmly remind her of anyone, she wasn't dumb enough to know his style of life. Still, that didn't mean that she had to demean him in her mind in any way. She picked up her paws again, getting a little bit closer to him. The crunching of the grass was the only sound she made as she made her way around him, a half circle shape before she decided she was in a good spot. It wouldn't do to be too close, even if he had no harm in his actions. "Hello," she replied, bobbing her head. "Quite a day to be laying out in the sun, isn't it?" Chapua was bad at conversation, and she knew it. She just hoped it would get too awkward. His eyes followed her calmly as she walked the semi-circle around him, tail flopping lightly behind him in his idle state. He certainly didn't want to scare her away by any means, especially as pretty as she was. Instead, he simply sat there calmly, waiting until she was comfortable with a spot to sit down and talk to him with - for it was obvious she was about to initiate a conversation of some kind. Her words, when they finally came, made him smile - probably coming close to a laugh. It was a very awkward question, and it made him wonder if she wasn't used to being very social. "Quite a day indeed," he said with a sigh of contentment, rolling his eyes up to the sky. "The sun is bright, the winds blowing, it's a perfect day for lazing around." He let his smile spread into a grin as he glanced back down at her. "What brings you out this way then, love?" he said, nearly purring at her as he spoke.

Her ear flicked, a pesky fly trying to get at it. She thought it might be a bit too warm to lie directly in the sun, but then again, she was a much darker colour than him. She watched him carefully, letting her tail flop a bit on the grass. "Exercising," she said calmly, a shy smile growing on her face. It felt odd to be called 'love', but she didn't want to bring it up. She'd make things even more awkward then, wouldn't she? "It was a pleseant time to do so this morning, but since it's warmed up I'm going to find myself home soon. Your coat...was just a bit distracting." She didn't know how to bring up the subject without sounding odd, but she would try anyway.
He liked to be in the sun, even when it was hot. He didn't really mind the sun at all, even on the worst days of the summer heat, unless he had been traveling for a long while and happened to be tired on top of hot. That's when he usually sought out shade or cool water, but today he was simply resting and could enjoy the heat. "Exercise is always a good thing," he said with a chuckle, eyes narrowing on her slightly at her words. "My coat?" he chuckled, rolling onto his side with a comfortable sigh. He looked down at his paws, as if inspecting them for the first time, and then settled them back down. "I suppose it is rather bright. Haven't you ever seen bright creatures though?" He glanced back up at her, a brow quirked.
The cheetah shook her head. "Never." She paused, letting her dark red eyes glance over his coat. It was predominately green, with just a splatter of white on his rump, similar to a cloud. That was about the only normal colour that was on his body. At least, to her what was normal. "I've come across one cheetah, a very vibrant indigo colour, but everyone else, even where I was raised. Never." She just hoped that she wasn't offending him in some way. "So it's just...different. You can say it attracted me over here like how bees are attracted to flowers." She gathered up her tail next to her to keep it quiet, and to make her look less nervous. "Bright flowers, anyway," she added on with a light laugh, hoping to sway whatever negativities that might be lingering in the air. She herself felt dull next to him, but that didn't mean she was ashamed. It was just...odd.
He quirked an eyebrow at her almost in disbelief of what she was saying. His family had been a slew of bright colors, and until he had branched out and started travelling on his own, he himself hadn't seen many naturally colored felines himself. Thing was, though, that as soon as he started to travel, he had come across them. Was she so severely sheltered? "Well, what can I say, I guess my fur is just bright and attracting," he purred, eyelids lowering slightly as a smirk spread over his maw. She was setting this up far too easy for him to walk into. "Although I think there's quite a lot of beauty to be had in natural colors such as your own."
She cocked her head to the side, a bit curious on him. What was he trying to get at? Any creature in their right mind never mindede compliments, or even friendly talk, but it seemed like he was trying to get at something. What was is? Maybe it was who she was, where she lived, something? She wasn't suspicious, per say, but she was definately a little more careful with her words than she just had been. "You could say that," she said calmly, letting her eyes fall down at her toes for a moment. "You could also say that there's beauty in everything you see." She raised her eyes to meet his for a moment, before letting off a small giggle. "Of course, you yourself seem like quite the charmer." He certainly was trying, wasn't he? Couldn't blame him, if that was how he wanted to be. Chapua just didn't understand it herself. "Maybe you're out here for more than just some sun...ah. Well, aren't you?" She tried to take a little jab at him, though she was certain that she wasn't too successful. Maybe that whole fight deal banged up more than just her limbs. Oh well, as long as Ang could put up with it, she would be content.

The smirk on his maw couldn't help but fade to a smile at the way she seemed to figure out just exactly what he was after. Many didn't, and even those that did never commented upon it. Even his charming facade couldn't hold up against such a blunt recognition of his true nature. "There certainly is beauty in everything one sees, but then, a charmer is very likely to say that, isn't he?" He chuckled lightly, flickering his tail idly as he glanced down to his paws for a moment. It really wasn't often that he found himself having a conversation like this with a female - he was typically either flirting with them, or being shunned for his advances. Although, if he did say so himself, it was more often flirting than shunning. "I have to admit, though, that I was actually simply out here for the sun," he glanced back up at her momentarily before flickering his eyes up to the sun. "I can't say I mind when a pretty lady comes to brighten the day, though." His eyes fell back down, an amused gleam shining brightly.
She loosened her mental wall up a bit, slowly becoming more certain that he was nothing more than a lazy lion enjoying a lazy day. He and the sun may be bright, but that didn't mean that he was any sort of a threat. Chapua felt ashamed that she had freaked out so much, but she had never spoken many words to lions before, and usually they were not kind words. So having something completely different was a pleseant change of habit. "Charmers will say anything to get what they want," she said quietly. "But as long as they speak the truth, I don't see much harm in it." She was trying to get herself to get off of the subject, but little flashbacks of her past were poking at her mind. Blasted things, she had been hoping that she'd never remember them. Why couldn't her attack make her forget everything, and not just some things? She swayed herself off of her feet, giving her body something of a twirl. "It's always good to know I can brighten up someone's day," she said with a laugh, thinking of a certain someone back home. Now that she was healed, she knew that her normal self would come out again. Hopefully Ang would be all right with it. "Even if I interrupt their resting time."
He watched her silently as she spoke about charmers, hearing the quiet tone, watching the subtle change of her facial features. It was obvious that this was not one female he was going to be able to woo, and with the fact that she seemed somewhat discouraged over the entire subject, he thought it was probably for the best. "Well, you've brightened mine up especially," he said with a purr on his words, his tail flickering and his smile widening once more at the way she moved. It was more comfortable to speak with her when she was acting happy than when she was almost teetering on the edge of.. something he didn't quite understand, like before. "I don't mind my resting being interrupted in the slightest."
"That's good," she simply said. "I would have hated to interrupt you, knowing that you were upset about one lone cheetah bothering you on your day off." She offered him a wink, knowing that not all lions could be lazy like that every day. Especially right in the sun! She paused where she was, settling herself down to rest more comfortably on the ground. She watched him expectantly, her red eyes wide with renewed curiosity. "Chapua," she said calmly, letting her smile grow across her face again. "What's your name?" Swapping names seemed a little silly, as Chapua assumed that she might not see him again, but it was still a normal formality to exchange at least a little bit of information with a friendly stranger. Who knew, maybe he was around here often and she would see him again. Only time would tell, and there was no point in putting too much worry and thought into the whole idea.
He simply smiled and shook his head at her, amused by what she said no doubt. He was, admittedly, a little less invested in the conversation now that he realized he wasn't going to get anywhere with her - but not enough to be noticeable on the surface, or rude. "It's nice to meet you Chapua," he said with a flicker of his tail, gleaming pink eyes settling on her darker red ones, "my name is Misri." He highly doubted that it would be useful for him to know her name, being that he was nearly always on the move. Who knew, though, maybe he'd run across her again in the future?

She bobbed her head polietly, pleased that she at least got a name. Who knows, it would be humerous if she ever heard of him again through other outlets. Chapua wasn't very social, but that didn't mean that she couldn't have her random bouts of social talk with passing strangers like she was right now. It was always good to get whatever information you could, especially when you lived in near solitude. Again, she was greatful for Ang sticking around still. Being alone didn't seem like a very good thing in this work, with her experience. "Pleasure indeed," she said. He had a name nothing like what she was expecting, but what was there to expect? He had certainly unwraveled himself into something that she wasn't expecting when she had approached him, and all of this would keep her entertained in her thoughts on her return home. "It would be interested to see you again. Or even hear of you, if you stick around in this particular area for a while."
He honestly hadn't really expected her to be this way either, but then, he never expected females to be anything other than completely open and receptive to what he offered. She just happened to be a bit more of a shock than most of them, even the ones that responded towards him rudely. "Well, I'm afraid that I won't be sticking around here for long," he said with a soft sigh of contentment as he lowered his head down onto his paws. "I have a terrible case of wanderlust and always have - I'm sure I'll be gone by morning," he glanced up at her, tossing his head a bit to rid his line of vision of the pink mane, "though it would be a pleasure to hear of you at some point again too."
Chapua cocked her head to the side, staring at him for a moment. Oh? Well, that was something that she was mixed in. She had wandered herself for a while, but only because her original home had become too painful to be nearby. Funny how your whole perception of the world around you changed wtih just one small factor. Hmmm. She shook her head, shaking away those thoughts. They weren't important anymore, even if they did crop up ever once in a while. What was important was now, not some stupid figures in the past. "Oh," she said softly. "Well, that doesn't mean that you can't ever return here on one of your excursions." She smiled warmly. "Who knows what the future holds. I could always come across you again on another run." My, how she did love to run, and it was very important to her. It would be a pleseant surprise to see him again. If she did, she'd definately push him further to speak more of these activities of his. Just for the amusement of herself.
"You're right," he said with a small nod, glancing at the horizon as if he was considering even now where tomorrow would take his paws. "I suppose I could always come back through here. Who knows where my paws will lead me in the future?" He smiled as he glanced back down at her, watching her. He didn't often return to the same place within a very short time period, but maybe he'd come back buy just to see her. It was odd to think that she had completely shut off his flirting instincts and though he wasn't entirely invested in the conversation between them as much as he would been before, he still found her oddly intriguing.
Chapua nodded brightly, raising a paw up to help emphasize her point on the matter. "If you never know where your paws take you, then you should never assume anything." She smiled, hoping that her small advice would make sense to him. She never intended to keep herself her for now, but she was. And here she would stay, as long as she could. She just hoped that everything would go well, so she could grow from this whole experience. It seemed that even adults have a lot of growing up to do themselves. "If you do find yourself around here again, I'm sure I'll see you. I like to go running a lot, it gives me a different sense of freedom. It's quite addicting. I'm sure you get syour kicks in your own way, though," she teased, leaning forward to give him a little look of 'i know what you do'. It was fun, acting spunky again. And knowing your boundaries, as well.

"That is very sound advice," he said with a soft laugh at her words, shaking his head and sending the brilliant pink mane flying. He had never really thought about that, but he supposed it was true. He never knew where his paws took him, he just followed the path they set on a whim. He supposed, since that was quite true, that his paws could lead him back here and he would never be the wiser until he was face-to-face with her again. Of course, it also meant his paws could lead him everywhere but here. "Well, if I find myself back around here again, then I'll certainly look forward to having you interupt my lounging," it was said with a joking air, his eyes narrowing on her though his smirk never faded. It was with her words that he laughed, turning away almost as if he were shy - though that was far from the truth. "I have my hobbies, if I do say so myself." Not that they needed to talk abou tit, especially after he saw that look on her face.
"It comes out on occassion," she simply said, brushing off any attempts at a compliment. She knew what her strengths and weaknesses were, and actually giving out good advice was something that she was not strong with. At least he seemed to appreciate the effort, though. That made it all worth it. She curled her toes, her claws slowly poking into the earth before she relaxed. She had thought about home, her new home for a moment, and how she should probably be back soon. She did not want to worry Ang one bit, as that was the last thing that he deserved when he had taken care of her for so long. Maybe she would try to catch something small on the way home a s arandom token of thanks. "I hope so," she said with a smile. "I'm sure I'll see you again, especially with that coat and mane of yours. You'll stick out worse than a gazelle when I'm hungry! It'll be my pleasure to come bother you. I just promise that it won't be all day. Deal?"
He laughed at her choice of description, amused by the fact that she was still so dumbfounded over how simply bright he was to really notice much else. He supposed that a female's company was a female's company, no matter what happened, and he did feel kind of strangely appreciative of the simple talk. Maybe once in a while simply chatting wouldn't be so bad - though he did enjoy his other hobbies too. "That sounds like a deal," he said with a contented sigh, knowing that it was getting to the point that she was going to leave. Hadn't she said something about heading home? "Next time I'll promise to not be so much of a bore, myself."
Proud of herself, Chapua felt like she had done more than just exercise her legs today. She was able to take another step from her injures to heal, having a little bit more faith in others, especially ones that were larger than her. She still couldn't remember what happened during the attack, but the most that she could guess was that something had happened, some sort of misunderstanding. She felt that she was too goodhearted for anything else. "A bore? Hardly. I can just entertain my eyes with that mane of yours this next time, then." She had been more focused on his deep (yet bright) green coat, next time she might try to pull a few fun teases up about his mane. Pink and green. He certainly was the colours of a flower, hm? "A next time it is, then. Hopefully soon, though I can understand if not. Wandering and all. If you ever feel lonely in a speaking sense, I'll be happy to help you out in that area."
"Well, I suppose my lack of good conversation is certainly made up for by my brightness," he said with a little shake of his head, his eyes rolling up to look at the tufts of his mane that had nearly fallen down into his eyes. He tossed his head a bit and then glanced back at her. "Well, if I find myself bored, or needing of conversation, I'll be sure to make my way back this way - or at least tell my paws to find their way here again." He dipped his head to her with a last, soft chuckle, letting his bright eyes look down at her from where he was still stretched out over the rock. "Until we meet again, then, Chapua - I enjoyed our talk."

Chapua herself took a moment to pause, letting her front half lower down towards the ground in a very polite bow. "Until then. I will look forward to it." She brought herself back up slowly, mroe intent on making sure she didn't pull something than anything else. Her dark red eyes met his for a moment, one last warm smile offered in his direction before she turned around. Chapua needed to return home. It would probably take her a bit to get there, since she had no intent on running the way home. A brisk trot would do, as it wouldn't take as long as if she would jsut walk. And hopefully she wouldn't startle anything too small to grab as a snack for when she did make it home. Her last hope for the moment was that Ang would be there, and she'd be able to offer some amusing conversation for the night about the bright lion she had met that day.
