For all the really fast tapping in the flood, always use your first two fingers... thats all I can really say.

Alright, uhh... I never went in practice for Raining Blood at all, since, I only failed like, one song before I got to it, and it was 3's & 7's, but ANYWAY

Yes, yes, save your star power, but if when in the mosh, you see yourself going down, hit star power as soon as it get more than a quarter passed the yellow/red seperater, or else yer going to fail, because you took your eyes off the note, bar, thing...

Going down the neck in scales is by far one of the easiet (recurring) things that happeneds in GHIII, but going incredibly fast on down scales can really be a challenge, so I suggest you practice the rhythm of raining blood while yer system or controller is off before trying to play the song itself. just go obyrbyrg, obyrbyrg, etc, etc. Next, since scaling down the neck is much fast is much harder than average pace, DO NOT try to hammer on the three notes succeeding the orange or blue note. Try to strum every note, I know it's fast, but you'll live, because I've gone through Mosh 1 like that and ended up in yellow without using star power.

I agree with whoever said "Use your index and middle finger to tap the really fast notes in Raining Blood's Flood part. Tell you the truth, I never have failed regularly there, it's either during Mosh 1 (on my off days) or during the 2-chord section, that's kind of like scaling up... right before the mosh. I have gotten through the Mosh easily without star power, but occasionally I must use it (again on my off days)

Also, if you have any trouble on the 3-16th note section before the mosh, try doing a solid triplet pattern among those notes, it'll still match up. so instead of ||| ||| ||| ||| ||| |||, it's more, | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |, etc.

Now, for me, One was MUCH MUCH easier than Raining Blood.
Instead of Failing 8 times (Raining Blood) I've failed once, maybe twice. Of course, I did use star power (kudos to whoever can scale through the beginning of one's solo without star power) Never have failed on that section, myself, only on the section right after since I was in low yellow.
Not too much advice really, I usually do the hammer-ons, since I'm beast at them (I can nearly perfect Impulse on my good days, only problem is the 3-chord scale, which SUCKS) Sorry, I'm gloating, I'm not really that good, I can't beat TTFAF, well, maybe I could, I was doing good on it in a Pro-Face of Mode on expert, but I haven't tried to beat it in maybe 2-3 months. I find the hammer ons are MUCH easier than stoking out every note in one, but if you're not one for hammer-ons, I feel sorry, practice the second solo of Cult of Personality, and once you can hit 95% of the notes with using minimal strums, you're beast.

After beating loue the first time, I've only lost to him once on both 360 and PS3 versions of the game. He's pretty easy once you actually know the song.
