"You don't say?" came the instinctive reply as the Chinese man shifted his weight once again, his ears tired from listening to his companion's gossip. The voluptuous brunette beside him leaned in close, seductive red nails tip-toeing across one knee towards the other, with matching lips pursed into a childish pout, "David, are you really listening to me? If this isn't interesting you enough, maybe...?"

The words were tempting, yes, and so was the figure of his client, but David disliked Natalie's squeaking voice and even more so, the way she used it. Too noisy, too gossipy, but a job was a job, money was money. Ignoring the claws scratching impatiently on his knee, David turned his head slightly, just enough so that their gazes collided and smirked. Raising a tender hand to the girl's welcoming cheek, he recited seductively, "I'm listening, I'm listening Natalie. Have some confidence in yourself."

It was time to turn the tables.

Turning his weight against her, David leaned closer still, forcing the once-flirtatious woman to coil up with a fiery bashfulness playing across her cheeks. "Your presence alone is always more than enough, you should know that by now, Natalie dear. I was just temporarily thrown into a daze because, this perfume, Natalie. It's ...intoxicating" he purred, the woman closing her eyes out of anticipation. He breathed heavily against her neck and prepared himself to plant a series of rosy kisses there when a rude ringing went off beside the couple. The flustered woman shot the timer a disappointed gaze but understood as David removed himself from her. Watching the girl stumble and attempt to recollect herself pathetically, David finally let out an exasperated sigh and offered to escort her back to the front lobby. She nodded quickly and they left the romantically lit "Passionate's room" quietly.

Returning to the front with a caring hand on the woman's shoulder, David addressed a cute youth, "Nanu, please make sure Ms. Brown departs safely." And returning his attention back to the woman, placed a feather-light kiss on her forehead and smiled charmingly, "I wouldn't want anyone to take advantage of you in such a condition, my dear Natalie."

Watching the woman turn beet red once again, David felt satisfied. He gestured her to the boy and smiled as she took out a black checkbook, scribbling hastily as if to hide the amount she was leaving for her favorite "passionate type." David glanced over the woman's shoulder and widened his smile. Oh yes, he had secured himself a good tip tonight. As the blushing woman bid the two gorgeous men goodbye and goodnight, David turned to Nanu at the front desk and sighed, his usual frown returning,

"Women are so predictable these days."
"Mmhm."

David let out another tired sigh as he made his way behind the counter, joining the teen and began to look through his schedule. He really needed some kind of excitement.

A tiny trickle of sweat began to bead down her temple, her long black hair pulled back tightly in a ponytail encased in some unusual silver casing, whipping and snapping madly behind her as she ran. Under cover of night, the thief smoothly dashed from rooftop to rooftop all the while plenty aware of the two men still hot on her trail.

'Damn Enforcers!' she thought with a mental growl. The cops were easy enough to distract and loose within the first 20 minutes of the chase, but these new Enforcers, as they'd been called of which the wealthier residents where beginning to use more and more, were proving to be quite the challenge. And of course, Ebony had been pleased with finally having some worthy adversaries, but as the chases began to wear on longer these days, she found them to be more of annoyances now than anything else.

The dark clad woman skidded and shifted directions in hopes of misdirecting her pursuers. They faltered for a moment before correcting themselves and were yet again chasing after her. Though it couldn't be seen what with that metal face mask covering her mouth, Ebony was gritting her teeth in irritation. 'These guys just don't give up, do they?!' Well if she couldn't out run them then it was time to disappear. Without missing a beat, the thief immediately slide down into an alleyway and dashed around several corners in hopes of buying some time before they figured out which way she'd gone.

Up ahead was a dead end, but there was a door there and Ebony made no hesitations in yanking the thing open and quickly shutting it behind her. Lucky it wasn't locked else that would have shaved some time. Those grey eyes looked about the dark corridor which was pretty empty except for some storage boxes. She peaked in one and noted bottles of some pretty expensive wines and liquors. A private club perhaps? Perfect, that meant plenty of people would be present here since it was night time. It would be even easier for her to disappear now.

Ebony fiddled with some invisible-like buttons on her silver armbands before grabbing the face mask she wore and stood perfectly still. There was a moment before the clothes on her seemed to ripple, like they were alive, before they suddenly melted then impressively, yet impossibly restructured themselves as a new outfit. The woman now wore a lacy black bustier with a simple red miniskirt and soft black boots that only rose to her ankles. Although the armbands remained intact, they merely looked like simple accessories to her new wardrobe.

Quickly she yanked the silver casing off her hair and shook it loose, all the while the onyx strands lightening until they were a lovely shade of platinum blonde. Equally fast, she wrapped the casing around her waist and snapped the mask onto it in a way that made the two things into an interesting belt that looked like it was always meant to be a belt and nothing more. With one last flourish of her now blonde hair and to make sure her disguise was impeccable, Ebony slowly made her way out of the corridor to the main part of the building in hopes that there were indeed more people just beyond.

and the list went on..
David's eyes seemed only to flicker with excitement as he recalled the Sunday's appointment with the svelte beauty, Maoi Avant-guard. He enjoyed her surprisingly violent way of seduction since it was unlike the others' routine shyness and half-hearted flirtations. With a smirk playing along his lips and his mind drowned in perverted thoughts, David stood dumbly at the counter, deaf to his co-worker's hushed callings.

"David," mewed the blond adolescent, his emerald eyes shifting uncomfortably between the Asian male and an approaching figure. A second attempt, Nanu choked one a more urgent call, "David."

Finally torn from his overtly sexual dreams, David turned his storming eyes to the whimpering teen and hissed loudly, "What?"

But the newcomer was already past the lobby and heading towards the desk. Instinctively, Nanu put on his professional face and smiled sweetly to the woman, explaining to his oblivious companion from the side of his mouth, "We've got a 'Princess'." David turned his attention forward and fixated his gaze on the nearing beauty, only to feel the color that should have been associated with his dirty thoughts catch up to his face. The new client was smoking hot! Blonde, physically "well equipped", and fashionable, David also couldn't help but feel drawn to her dangerous aura.

Shaking himself from such thoughts, David quickly followed Nanu's modeling, straightening his back and performing the necessary smile of welcomes, as the stunning vixen finally approached the desk. Nanu laughed a bit, his child-like appearance used quite often to lure in the older women, as he verbally embraced the newcomer, "Good evening Miss and welcome to Queen's Collection, where every woman is treated like a queen. Since I'm guessing it's your first time here, would you like to review our catalog of hosts or would you rather be introduced to them personally? Though.."

Nanu continued his performance perfectly, saddening his youthful features and tearing up a bit, "I'm sorry to say that if you'd like to review them personally, the only available hosts right now are the Passionate type, the Joker and the Youthful type. The rest of the court is currently preoccupied, though if there is one in particular you see in the catalog and if you are willing to wait, I can ring him up the moment his present date ends."

The teen beamed brilliantly at the woman and secretly hoped she would choose himself since he didn't have another client until Saturday afternoon. David, on the other hand, wished he would get chosen, though for two different reasons: 1. Because the woman seemed loaded, financially and physically and 2. Because he had never actually welcomed potential clients before and he didn't think his introductions would be up to par in professionalism to Nanu's. ...The kid must not have been receiving a lot of customers lately. How unfortunate. But refusing to let a frown sneak back onto his face like it tended to do, David continued to smile painfully, hoping the woman would quickly decide who she'd appoint herself to.

She entered into what seemed to be a lobby or reception area of some sort. A light frown gracing her delicate features as she realized just how devastatingly quiet the place was. Where were all the people? Damnit! If the Enforcers tracked her location here, they would surely deduce who she was despite the disguise as there was little anyone else to assume otherwise. She couldn’t chance that. Silver orbs scanned the room vigilantly until they fell upon the only other people in the large room. The thief made her way towards them with a poised and purposeful step. They were going to help her, one way or another.

Their faces became clearer as she approached and Ebony realized the two where men. Well…one boy and one man really. And it was this man that made her stop so abruptly, her blood turning to ice in her veins. She could barely hear what the younger male was saying to her as her steely gaze kept locked on the Asian. David, of all the people to bump into now, was standing there in all his charming pride and infuriating glory. He might have stolen her breath away, if she wasn’t running from the law then. Luck seemed to be on her side again, in what little drops it decided to give, as it seemed David had not recognized her. Silently, she hoped it would stay that way.

Of course, both males were smiling warmly towards her now, quiet yet holding an expecting look. ‘Hell, what had the boy said? Something about queens?’ The way the place was set up and the way these two presented themselves allowed Ebony’s quick mind to put things together without having the youth repeat himself. She could have buried her face in her hands then, but managed to keep it from her face. It was one of those clubs. How embarrassing! Given the choice, Ebony would never make an appearance in such a place, but things just weren’t going her way tonight. And she very well couldn’t leave, not yet anyway, not with those two bloodhounds still lurking about just outside. Unbeknown to her, frustration leaked through her alluring façade as her nose twitched ever so slight in that manner it always did when she was under great stress or irritation. She knew they expected her to say something now, make a decision of some sort or else be cast out. Oh what to do? She stalled of course. “I’m terribly sorry. What were the choices again?” she asked, her Gaian accent flawless and giving no hints to her normal British tones. Though the sugar act was never her strong suit, Ebony played it up as much as she could, knowing full well that men usually couldn’t refuse such a sweet, seemingly innocent charm, as she gently twirled a slender digit around a soft strand of blonde and gave them a sweet smile.

With just a few feet of glossy marble separating the two hosts and the alluring newcomer, David already felt secured. The woman seemed spacey or at least easily distracted as David's eyes trailed her wandering ones with ease. A flicker to and fro across the lobby, perhaps looking for the regular that had introduced her to the club, and then a disinterested glance at the awaiting duo. She even seemed to be annoyed at the hosts' charms, first wrinkling her nose at them, perhaps disappointed by their presentation, and then in attempt to redeem herself, the vixen flashed them a sexy but smug grin. So caught up in his immoral optimism, David hadn't even recognized this behavior as one he'd grown accustomed to a while back. That cute manner of nose crinkling, those ash-colored eyes that seemed to be analyzing one's every move. If he hadn't been so absorbed in his work of seduction, David would have instantly mistaken this woman for the lovely Ebony Shade..except, blonde. But again, he was too entranced by the possibility of a new wealthy, playmate to even suspect the woman of being one of his acquaintances in costume. While Nanu hesitantly continued to wish that the older woman would decide upon the Youthful type, David waited excitedly. If she were to pick him, she would become his new favorite, this he could already tell. But a frown tugged at the sides of him mouth when the woman innocently asked for a replay of the choices. The blond beauty toyed with her hair teasingly, as if she were the hostess and they were the potential clients, and David felt the frown etch itself deeper into features, though his heart raced even faster.

She definitely had to pick him. Otherwise the heated man would have no idea what to do with himself.

Nanu restated the choices again, as if this kind of question arose every day, "The hosts available at the moment are the Youthful type, myself, the Joker, and my friend here, the Passionate type. But again, if you're looking for a different type of company, I can give you our catalog to flip through and once the host of your choice is free, I can call him out for you to become acquainted with. Does that sound ok?"

Nanu displayed another sickeningly sweet smile, one that seemed to easily overshadow the woman's and David couldn't help but cringe internally at Nanu's behavior. He knew it was the kid's typical performance of innocence but he had never seen it so close up. So there really were women who liked this kind of man? Weird.

She kept her face placid and thoughtful, although on the inside her stomach churned uneasily. No it certainly did not sound okay as she knew she'd have to choose from the three options available now. Jokers obviously were not for Ebony, so that was out of the question and after this boy's sickeningly sweet act there was no way she was going to spend anymore time with him than she'd already had. The woman could barely stand herself behaving in a similar manner just a moment ago. So it seemed the only type left was the Passionate a.k.a David. The last thing the thief needed was to be trapped in a room alone with him and paying for his time no less. It disgusted her utterly, but what other choice did she have?

The glossy flaxen haired female would have stood there forever debating, if only to pass the time and keep from having to make such a decision. That is, if the sound of voices and footsteps far behind her hadn't made her edgy and alert. It hadn't sounded like the men after her, but she wasn't taking chances. After all, the Enforcers weren't cops and couldn't be held to the same standards. Who knows what they'd do to find and capture her.

Hastily she grabbed David by the arm, interlocking his with hers and quickly leading him away from the desk even if she had no idea where they were heading. "I choose you, let's go."
PostPosted: Thu Jul 24, 2008 8:35 pm

David felt his brain bump roughly against the sides of his skull as the woman hurriedly intertwined her arms with one of his and dragged him down the hall. Nanu raised a surprised hand, probably hoping to stop the woman from bolting off with his friend and have her return to finish the necessary paperwork, but David shot the teen a look that read "I'll clear things up later." The blonde adolescent frowned in defeat and decided to return to filing as David turned his attention back to the warmth pressed against his arm. One moment the client had seemed irritated, then she shifted to an uncertainty but now she was 100% aggression. ...And the Chinese male could not feel any more aroused. Though, her choice of words had made him feel a little silly at first. I choose you? What was he, a Pokemon? Tossing his thoughts back in order, he finally stepped in front of the rushed female, his hands raised defensively as another charming grin was presented.

"Excuse me Miss, but before we go any further, one of our primary requirements of membership is the exchange of names," he purred authoritatively. Extending a friendly palm, David winked and motioned her to it with his playful grey eyes. "Queen's Collection, Passionate type, David Nao. And you, Miss, are..?"

Hopefully the woman wouldn't be so impatient to ignore this simple request. The awkward situation between them now seemed to heighten David's sense of danger and so, he was finally forced to be a little more cautious in his judgments. David leaned back a little, though his right hand remained extended. The left was rested in a belt loop as David considered how he would handle such an unpredictable situation. If she was some kind of thoughtless thief that planned on throwing him into a room in search of money or some immoral act, first she'd have to stretch one or both of her arms out and that's when he'd push it away with his left hand and somehow pin her against a wall with his right. But if she just another client, then...there was nothing to worry about..right? No. The way she had hastily chosen her host and the constant shift between fear and anger was definitely out of the ordinary.

What the woman on drugs or something?!

A name? He wanted a name? Now?! Wasn’t the point of these types of clubs for people to be held anonymous? Only David, as far as she could tell, was the only man to ever make Ebony infuriatingly frustrated because of that overly polished ego of his and that too perfect smile. She wish she could shatter it now, for making her feel this way, always torn between two emotions on totally opposite extremes of the spectrum at the same time.

The moody woman completely ignored his extended hand and instead folded her arms across her chest in defiance. She hadn’t thought that far ahead yet, to have made up an alias, basically thinking everything up on the spot as she went along. Oh why hadn’t she planned for something like this? Well…he was going to figure it out sooner or later, though Ebony would have much preferred later or never at all, but she thought it now a best time to let him in on her little rouse. After all, maybe once he knew it was her, David could direct her to another exit so she could get the hell out of there already.

Desperately clinging to what little calm she had, through closed eyes and gritted teeth, the thief replied slowly and forcefully. “Ebony.”
PostPosted: Sat Jul 26, 2008 12:02 pm

As David watched the haughty woman cross her arms defensively, he felt a pang of guilt. Well, his services couldn't be for free now could they? Just cause she had a cute face and a nice body didn't mean he was going to let her take advantage of him! But the man made sure that none of these thoughts crossed over into his features, to keep the alluring mystery between them at its highest. There was a heavy pause, no, more like a bone-crushing silence as he awaited her to say or do something, anything so that he could react in one extreme or the other, for this unpredictable behavior was one he didn't like. David is an impulsive man, even he knows this, but when a situation like this one arose, he knew no other way to handle it than with extreme caution..which was really tiring for the man's patience. But his fatigue quickly simmered back down as the woman rolled her eyes shut and then seemed to growl, "Ebony."

Ebony was her name, huh? ...Waitasecond. Those steely eyes, that adorable way of expressing irritation, those curves, that bust, that scowl. The entire right side of David's face twitched just a bit but again, he regained his composure. The way she had thrown her name at him was rough and pained, as if he had squeezed her for such information, so, after piecing everything together, David's assumption had been right. Something was wrong with this situation. Was she being stalked or something? His stormy eyes scanned the hallway curiously, a childish part of him hoping to see the face of an assumed stalker, wanting to compare their appearances, a prideful part of him hoping to become her hero and fight off some barbarian or two. Wait, no, she was definitely not one to need saving from either type of stalker so..what was this unpleasant feeling in his chest?

Turning his thoughts back to her, the only thing he could openly reassure himself was, "Ebony? Ebony Shade? ...-a smirk- Your personality doesn't fit your hair color, love."

Even in all of his nervousness and tension, he could still throw a tease here and there.

Stormy eyes shot open to glare at him like sharpened daggers. She really wish he hadn't said her full name then, who knew who could be listening. Though it would be very doubtful that anyone would be able to figure her for a thief just from her name as she used none with her "clients." They didn't even know what she looked like, yet those people, along with the media, had kindly referred to her as the Shadow Bandit. A name Ebony had not been too keen on, but somehow felt there was no way of getting out of it.

It was now the blonde's turn to have a moment of face twitching at David's stupid teasing. There wasn't time for this, Ebony had a big pile of gold to collect. A slick smug overtook her lips as a thought just popped into her mind. "Yes, well that's of no matter now is it?" the woman asked in her normal British accent, no need to hide it anymore. "I have a proposition for you David. Point me in the direction of another exit, no questions asked, and I'll make it worth your while." Ebony slipped out a single gold coin and waved it in front of the man.
PostPosted: Sat Jul 26, 2008 7:43 pm

David's lips curled into a satisfied grin as he watched Ebony's eyes widen, her identity fully exposed now. The adrenaline was racing through his body once again, being slowly delivered with each pump of his corrupted heart. The Chinese man felt some kind of intimacy between the woman and himself, though he would not ask about it, because that's what made it even more valuable: its secrecy. A twitch of her agitated features and David's smirk widened and widened, expecting nothing less than to have Ebony complete her reason for being in the club, expecting nothing less than to enjoy the woman's company for the next hour or so. He hadn't seen her in some time and the now-blond had seemed hesitant in calling him, so now was the perfect chance to catch u---

"I have a proposition for you David. Point me in the direction of another exit no questions asked, and I'll make it worth your while."

With her skillful looking fingers, Ebony seemed to play with a small piece of gold in hopes of tempting the man, but at the coin's appearance, David frowned thoughtfully. What was this? Another exit? Gold?! His hopeful thoughts of affection were quickly pushed away as he raised his eyes back to the empty but suspicious looking hallway. Straining his ears, he thought he heard the soft echo of a pair of footsteps. One, two, perhaps more people. Heavy people by the sound of that clumsy clunking. Ugh, none of their hosts' feet would make such an unattractive noise. Was Ebony being chased? ...The devilish smile returned as he pulled the blond close to his chest and then reached a free arm out to open one of the nearby rooms.

Taking one last glance down the hallway, shadows beginning to dance along the lighted walls and muffled voices arguing with the young man still at the front counter, David pulled both of them into the elegantly decorated room and locked the door behind them. His chance to become her hero hadn't been lost quite yet, how lucky. Once inside though..David became hesitant in whether or not he should consider Ebony's proposition. A second, two seconds, time ticked away faster than he would have liked and the awkwardness grew until finally he purred, pulling her even closer, "Something like that doesn't really balance out with this situation does it, Ms. Shade? ...Well then, here's my proposition to you. If you want me to get you an exit, then will you promise me this: Once I get you out, then you have to give me whatever I ask for, deal? -he chuckled- And don't worry I won't ask anything for anything indecent, kay?"

His dislike for playing things cautiously was dying as was the level of unpredictably. If things worked out the way he planned, tonight would surely become one of his life's most exciting nights ever.

She too had heard the footsteps and voices gaining volume now, her slated orbs narrowing and peering hatefully in the direction from which they'd just come. Hopefully that little brat at the counter was good for something and would keep the thugs busy with his little drawn out monologues. It was this little distraction that cost Ebony her freedom then as David had quickly pulled them into another room, locking the door securely behind him. Great, the one thing she was trying to avoid. Yes, no one could get in, but now she couldn't get out.

The thief was very angry with this situation, but remained silent. Most probably trying to refrain from killing the Asian. So upset was she that she hadn't even realized that David had yet to release her from his grip until the male pulled her tighter in still. Ebony felt a sudden strain in her heart, a foreign feeling creeping on her as her cheeks gave a soft blush. She'd never been this close to anyone before, not like this and especially not with any man. 'God, does he smell heavenly...DAMNIT! NO! What am I thinking?!' She quickly shook her head to rid herself of the unwanted thoughts and feelings.

Daggers for eyes glaring red hot at him once more, Ebony shoved the man off her quite abruptly. Arms folded once more, the female huffed. "I'm not making you any promises Nao. I gave you a perfectly good offer and you turned it down. So now you're going to give me an exit else I'm going to give that pretty little face of yours a black and blue makeover." She cracked her knuckles for effect.

Of course. Of course, of course, of course. The man could never just get his way, he had to work for it. David let out an agitated sigh of his own as the temperamental woman ripped herself away from his affectionate arms, meaning no real harm in his playfulness, and then continued her tantrum until finally a threat was offered. How un-cute was she, her steel eyes flashing dangerously at him and her jaw clenching in restraint. Whether she wanted to yell at him more but stopped herself in fear of attracting any outsider's attention or if she was stopping herself from letting something slip, really didn't intrigue David as much as the blush playing across her infuriated features. That was possibly the one trait that kept the man from losing his own cool, the mysterious blush. Was it from their physical contact? Or was it something he said? Interesting. Without missing a beat, David began to wander around the empty room, kicking a gorgeous red stool over here and tinkering with a porcelain teapot there, before turning back to the woman abandoned at the door and sang sweetly,

"A makeover huh? Black and blue, you say? Well, whether you beat me to a bloody pulp or continue to stand there fuming, either way it won't really be that big of a problem for me will it? Bruises and cuts will go away, but I don't think the people chasing you will. I also wonder how much time it will take you to find a way out of here without my help. So... let me ask you again Ebony: Do you want an exit or not?"

He wondered if the blond would really take the bait. She seemed desperate but women always seemed in need of help before they just declined what was offered. Indecisive things. To make himself appear even less affected by her threat, David casually placed his hands into his pockets and opened his torso to her promised beatings.

How absolutely tempting! Just one little cracked rib wouldn't be too much damage right? Ebony's face scrunched in her agitated state all the while glaring at the calm man. 'Stupid think he knows it all host. I really don't have time for his games, but...' She tilted her blonde head to the side, listening for the muffled voices still outside and beyond the door arguing. The thief had two options then. One; bolt out the door and take her chances with the Enforcers or two; remain here and hash out a deal with David. A fight would take too long and she needed to get out soon, thus her decision it seemed was made.

With a utterly glum expression on her normally lovely features, Ebony sat down on that red stool he'd messed with earlier. Her fists lay tight and clenched on her lap as she sat there rigid and obviously very pissed with the man in front of her. "What do you want?" she asked flatly.
