It was a sort of gloomy day outside, the children couldn't play outside too much and while Romeo seemed content staying indoors and playing with his super heroes Marco decided to treat the three to a visit to the roller rink instead. It was a nice little place, you could rent your kids skates and sit on the benches on the side and see the entire rink to make sure you could keep an eye on your kids. Marco seemed rather enthused by the idea, he hoped perhaps his triplets might meet some new children here.
Claydon was sitting on the furthest side of the bench from his father. He seemed to think he was too cool for his dad's help getting his skates on. He was struggling a little bit but he seemed to be doing well enough.
Deidre was sitting on the floor in front of her dad as Marco laced up her roller skates for her. She was a little excited about walking on wheels, the idea piqued her interest.
Romeo was sitting right next to Marco, trying to get his own skates on but waiting for Marco to finish with Dei so he could help him out. He wasn't as excited as Dei was but Marco had allowed him to bring his batman toy with him so he seemed content.
After the three got their skates on Marco led them to the rink entrance, "Have fun and be safe you three, I'll be right over there," He said pointing to one of the benches lining the rink, "If you need me just skate up to me alright?" He said before leaning down and kissing them each on their foreheads. Dei and Romeo were patient, but Clay squirmed around a bit before his dad finally let go of their hands and they had free reign.
The three of them took off into the ring, Romeo and Clay both taking a little spill right to begin with, Dei giggled at them but helped them up and they started off.
Marco walked back to the bench and sat down folding his hands in his lap, his braided ponytail falling almost to the ground behind him. He exuded an air of patience and calmness, it was a good thing he was a Buddhist, he would need as much patience as he could get to handle three young children.

It had taken an hour of Dashiell crashing around the apartment before Neshaka had given up on the building plans she was staring at. A few minutes search had turned up a roller rink nearby, which Dashiell seemed enthusiastic about. Neshaka was less so, and slipped a book into her rucksack before leaving.
Once Dashiell was securely into his skates, she let him roll off into the centre of the rink and went to find a seat. With a quick glance at the occupant of the next bench, she slung her bag underneath and watched Dashiell skate.
Dashiell had decided that, while weird at first, skating was the way to travel. Much faster, he thought. There were a few other kids on the rink, some had tails. It wasn't all that unusual.

Romeo was a bit slower at picking up skating than his two siblings. He was flailing about a little bit but gradually was getting the hang of it. His Batman action figure was still in his hands, he clung to it for security. He was nervous about the skates but was still having fun at the same time.
Clay was picking it up more quickly, he was trying to skate faster than the other kids in the rink though once he got going he would often tumble over because he was still not used to the skates.
Deidre didn't seem to be having any trouble picking up skating what so ever. She was just gliding around like she had done this before. Of course she wasn't as good as some of the kids who had come here many times, but no one would have guessed that this was her first time.
Marco gave the woman who sat down on the next bench a smile, "Good afternoon miss." He said politely with a nod as she sat down before turning his head back to the children in the rink.

Dashiell watched one of the tailed kids move awkwardly around the rink. He found it fairly natural, using his tiny wings and tail for balance, but stuck to a medium speed. Dashiell hated falling onto his tail, it was very painful.
Eventually he pulled alongside a girl who was breezing along. He looked sideways at her before deciding to outrace her, and started skating harder.
Neshaka glanced over again and smiled, very slightly. "Hi there."

Deidre didn't seem to pay much attention to the boy, he didn't say anything to her and only seemed interested in racing her. She however didn't seem as interested in racing, she continued skating along at her normal pace.
"Quite adorable, aren't they?" Marco said still smiling before looking back at the children skating around the rink. He seemed like a pleasant person.

Dash stuck his tongue out on the way past and went off to find someone more fun. After a while he caught up with another kid, who looked similar to the last one. He's skating fast, but he could be boring like the last one, thought Dashiell.
"Haha, I guess." She rubbed her head and remembered why she'd ended up coming here. "A bit of pain sometimes, though." Neshaka was trying to be sociable, but didn't have much practice.

Deidre huffed a little bit and stuck her tongue back out at the green boy.
Once Clay was approached by the boy he instantly took it as a challenge. He glanced to the side of him at the child who was trying to out skate him. He started to speed up to try and keep ahead of him.
"It's in their nature," Marco replied with a smile. Children were naturally a handful, the man knew it all too well.
