It was a peaceful, quiet sort of day; and Rokhan was taking this moment to enjoy the sun on his back, the high grass tickling his legs, and the taste of the same grass as he grazed lazily. Overhead there wasn't even a hint of a cloud, just a lovely azure color. A color that made the grounded stallion a tad envious of the birds and fellow soquili that could fly. What things one could learn soaring against such a magnificent backdrop.
Oh well. It wasn't meant to be, and he knew that. Shrugging his shoulders Rok pushed his daydreams of wings to the back of his mind and continued his grazing. There were plenty of things to learn on the ground, as well.

Lucifer looked up toward the sky, oh how he envied his father and his accursed ability to fly, especially on days such as this one. He made his way over a hill, his tail dragging behind and making a subtle rustling noise against the ground.
He surveyed the area, eyes stopping at a blue figure and at more observation what turned out to be another of his kind. He began to make his way towards the other cautiously, not sure of how it would react.

((I am so sorry this has taken me forever to reply too!))
Was that grey in the corners of his eye? Rok was caught off guard, and he wasn't sure he wanted to check. As much as he loved watching thunderstorms, he figured it was about time for the spirits to take a little break. He was enjoying the sun too much. Grabbing one more clump of grass between his teeth and pulling, the bright blue stallion bucked up his courage and turned towards the grey among the green.
The sight of another stallion made Rokhan insanely happy. Truth be told, he'd never had any real meetings with another male outside of his Momma's glen.
"Oi!" He called out to the other soquili happily. "Great day we be havin'!" As he spoke, he prayed as hard as he could to the spirits that he wasn't inviting trouble of the terror kind his way.

Lucifer paused for a second. 'His accent...' was among the first thoughts that ran through his head, but before seeming like a freak for just staring, he bowed his head. "Great day, indeed." His words flowed smoothly out of his throat. "I am Lucifer Von Helson, you may call me Lucifer... Or Luci." He said was a slight warm feeling to his cheeks, he had adapted that nickname from his sister Katrina, when she teased him for his feminine tail and the swing in his step when he walked around.

An easy smile came to Rokhan's face as the other stallion introduced himself. The slight darkening of color on Lucifer's face that indicated a blush didn't go unoticed by the wild-haired 'troll', but he didn't understand what it was there for. He nodded in answer to the bow, though a bit belatedly, then rolled the grey stallion's name out. "Luci," he said it thoughtfully and with a smile. "Yes, I be thinkin' Luci a much better name. No' quite t'mouthful tha' Lucifer Von Helson be." With a playful whinny, his tail flicked in contentment.
"I be called Rokhan." Introducing himself in return was only polite. "Though you can be callin' me Rok."

"Rok..." Lucifer smiledlightly, looking slighlty upward at the other stallion. "That works, Pleasure to meet you." He looked around, watching the high grass slightly sway. "We're blessed today, you know? It's not every day the winds blow so lightly, but with great force." Lucifer had learned most of his 'spiritual' insight from the shaman which took care of him, but he didn't quite understand what she ment until recently.

Rok tilted his head quizically, that was the first time he'd ever used that expression for the winds. It excited him that he could possibly learn something not introduced to him by his Momma. Nodding thoughtfully, he looked up at the skies once more with curious eyes. "I've never heard it like tha' before, wha t'ya mean?" What luck, he thought to himself happilly. It wasn't everyday he ran across someone that shared his interest in the winds!

Lucifer smiled. "You see, The winds..." He thought of a way to word it, without sounding obvious. "Well to bigger beings like you and me, the winds are gentle and kind. But to the smaller creatures..." He looked up at a flock of sparrows. "The winds are harsh, almost abusive." He looked to the birds again, watching them blown off course. "Not many days does this happen, however. It is usually the same fate for all, it is a omen, surely."

He blinked once, then twice at Lucifer then nodded in eventual understanding. He could see what the other stallion meant, but he'd never thought of it that way before. Smiling happily, he looked up at the same sparrows he did indeed note the difference in how the wind affected them. Focusing one red eye on the gray one before him he winked. "How be ya at explorin'?" He'd never really given much thought to omens, as he'd always listened to the winds with interest but not gone out of his way to attempt to interpret them all of the time; but this was a good way to not only enjoy the beautiful day but learn more about another's beliefs. The thought of what the day could bring made the muscles in his shoulders quiver a bit with excitement and an aching to move.

Lucifer's face was surely flushing red again by the wink the other had thrown his way. "I-I'm pretty good at exploring and getting myself into hard to reach places, I guess." He considered the thought of the other having a more expansive exploration then what he thought. But he could always say he had to go home, or something. Regardless, he would take the time to meet the interesting fellow. Perhaps get to know him more, and then tell him he was in fact gay. And see if he was another stallion that'd flee, or wouldn't understand him.

Rokhan eyed Lucifer up, and could see what he meant. Rok on the other hand... There was too much southern blood in his veins, and he was rather large. Grinning, he was oblivious to the hint of red on Luci's cheeks and winked again. The sunlight was doing one hell of a number on his mood today he noted. With a nod, he turned towards the direction of the birds and started to move casually towards them.
"I not be in the mood to do too much," he threw over his shoulder. "Jus' enough t'be sating my curiosity."

"Well then, let's go~" He said to himself in a musical tone and followed, it almost seemed that his statement aboutthe birds on the winds affected his curiousity enough to go out and explore. " I see, I see." Said Lucifer to the other, catching up with his pace. "Anything in particular we're going to try and find?" A slight tone of curiousity in his voice, similar to the voice of a foal awaiting his first gift.
