Valelldia stumbled, with Lesh's weight on her, helping her move as quickly as she could, following the path Kale cut with his keen senses. He was on the trail of the little Fortunette, and seemed to be intent on finding her as much as any of the others with her. Val didn't want to think about the possibilities of the predicament... what could happen to the child, why would someone abduct her.. and did Lesh's strange dreams, of late, have anything to do with what had happened?
"Lesh," she whispered, as the other gypsies trampled through the underbrush around her. "Do you think.. your dream..." She didn't finish, knowing that she'd understand.

While Val, Lesh, and Kale lead the small pack of women and various animals and children, Caroline and Rojiza stay behind. Not far behind, now, as Caroline's endurance had nearly returned to her. However, the fatigue from her long run had set into her bones, and she knows that she's going to feel THIS one in the morning, provided it ever comes. Right now, though, the chief concern is finding Anzeka.

Silver looked over her shoulder and noticed that Caroline was no longer behind the group. She stopped for a moment, searching the woods behind her to see if Caroline was just taking it slow. She was nowhere in sight. She must have stopped to rest... the poor girl. I know she's got to be exhausted, Silver thought. Just as she turned to catch up with the rest of the group, Aisrhan was yanked from her back and Silver was knocked to the ground. She cried out as she fell and looked up just in time to see a dark figure disappearing into the trees with her daughter. "AISRHAN!" Silver stood up quickly and started to run after them, but she couldn't see where they had gone. It was too dark. Her eyes scanned the trees frantically. Finally she ran and caught up with Val, Lesh and the others. Worried, frustrated, and angry, tears streaked her now dirty face. She just managed to choke out the words, "They took Aisrhan too!" before she began to sob uncontrollably.

Aisrhan hissed viciously and thrashed her tail like a whip. When that did no good, she bared her fangs and prepared to bite her captor... only to sink her teeth right into a strip of cloth which was promptly tied behind her head. She growled, low and menacing, in the back of her throat as she was also blind folded. So here she was, being carried away from her mother, unable to see and unable to defend herself. She did not like this one bit. Being afraid was not a feeling she, a predator, was accustomed to...

"No!" Em cried out, thrusting herself back up against a tree. Anezka had been taken... and now Ais as well? She held her son close to her chest- so tight that he screamed in protest, and she couldn't help but blink back a tear of deep, penetrating fear that they would be descended upon. She clung to the sobbing Silver with her free arm, trying to comfort her for a hurt that couldn't be contained.
"We'll find her. We'll find them both."

"Viesa Noye.... Not another.." She tipped her head back to the stars, feeling helpless. She came forward and touched Silver's arm as Em embraced her. "We shall find her," she echoed her words. She turned to the rest of her pack.
"Stay together- obviously, whoever is doing this only wants the infants- so Pierre, Rojiza.. stay in the middle of us. All the children have been blessed, so they cannot be harmed- but we shall get them back soon. NOW." She said, resolution dripping from her accented voice. Her power seemed to glow in her face.
"Kale... shall take us there." She waved a hand at the canine-like creature, whispering a few words that would make his sense of smell even more enhanced than it already was.

Caroline hears the commotion of Aisrhan's kidnapping, and hurries to catch up with the group, Rojiza clutched close to her chest and her fatigued pushed away. Determination lights her eyes as she battles her own body in an effort to stay with the rest of the gypsies. She keeps Rojiza, whose cries of protest had died to fussy snuffling, close to her. Damned if any rogue was going to take this child from her.

Silver was grateful for Em's arm around her shoulders. "Thank you... I know we will... it's just... I had her... and..." she let out a heavy sigh, tears streaming down her cheeks. Valelldia's touch on her arm seemed to give her strength however, and she managed to collect her thoughts long enough to realize that she was doing Aisrhan no good just sitting there in such a pitiful state. She wiped the tears from her face, and though they were replaced quickly by new ones, Silver stood. Frustration and helplessness were replaced by determination. "Alright then, Kale. Let's go."

With Silver's new-found resolve, Em was able to step back from the wounded mother, and instead tuck her own frightened form next to that of Caroline's. She gave the other mother a look- which very clearly read 'they're not taking our children', and stood, shoulder to shoulder with her.

Caroline responds to Em's expression with a defined nod and a quiet "Mmphm." Which everyone knows can mean an ocean of things. She doesn't dare look at her daughter, for fear that she'd see something other than Rojiza's round chestnut eyes. All she can do is give the bundle a little reassuring squeeze and keep going, shoulder to shoulder with Em.

She doesn't dare look at her daughter, for fear that she'd see something other than Rojiza's round chestnut eyes. Leshya'e glanced over at Val, "My...dream...oh no...you don't think...no" She breathed in sharply and then put her head against Val's neck, weeping. This was all her fault, or at least she was starting to feel it was. As Silver screamed out, Lesh spun around and gasped, "NO!" Her heart began to pound and her feelings of guilt and responsibility doubled. "No...no..." She continued to cry, holding tight to her fellow gypsys.

[Darn you all and your late-night roleplay. XD!]
Kale felt something in his nose, little more then a rippling tickle. But suddenly his sense of smell was doubled, and what smells spoke to him before now yelled, beckoning him forward and lighting a very, very distinct path. Smells were eveywhere, filling him with a strange power...he liked it. Whomever these captors were, they weren't incredibly bright, Kale though to himself (in whatever form such thought interpret to in a fox babe's mind), feeling pleased and haughty. He knew his mother was behind him, and he knew she would be proud.
Through the dark woods he sent them, a mile or so, twisting and turning, and even backtracking on himself once or twice. His lips lifted in a canine-smile. It would take more than that to throw him off. His stamina only increased as the scent of Anzeka, and now a fresher one (must've been Aishran, he could only guess), grew stronger.
Finally the woods had ended as quickly as they had started. He wagged his tail and waited patiently for the lagging gypsies. Being a fox, he didn't fathom what he had stumbled upon. He only knew he had founf what he was looking for.
A house. A shed really, old and rickety, was conspicuously placed in the middle of the clearing. It was painted brown and so was black in the light of the night. And perhaps they were only audible to the keen ears of a fox, but...he heard something within.

"Good work, Kale," Val said, placing a hand on the back of the fox's ruff, and coming up to the ramshackle little building that he'd poised his nose towards. She looked back at the others once, sending a warning with her eyes to be careful- and then placed her fingers on the lock of the door. It was crude, and would only take a simple charm to undo. She turned back to the gypsies.
"One of you- a strand of hair, quickly. The charm requires two to offer their power to it- one responsible for its destruction, and one to bind it back. So I need a hair."
