Story: Flint is a young warrior that is a pirate hunter and a mercenary. Wondering around in the Kindgom of |Varuna he starts out in a village. While on a journey to find the killers of his parents that were pirates he meets a princess Alexia and helps her out as her bodyguard.
As he travels he learns of a powerful mage who is using Alexia's father (or wants to) and tries to help her save the kingdom.
Graphics/Battle: You can see enemies and the graphics were fine for a playstation game. The fun part was that you can summon in a way these element things and use magic.
Good Points: It was fun with a fast story. THe puzzles were decent and not over the head kind of puzzles. It was entertianing games in the pirate ship which I thought was cute and wondering around as Flint (the main character was entertaining).
Bad Points: From what I've read the game was rated low because it was not even close to Alundra 1. The story and gameplay were so different it upsetted fans and they never made another Alundra after this. (I think it would have been good if it wasn't named Alundra 2 if that was the case. Since I didn't play Alundra 1 I thought it was a good game).
Characters:
Flint: After his family was killed by a group of Pirates he became a pirate hunter. He is also a wante dman in the kingdom but later works for the Princess named Alexia.
Alexia: Princess of Varuna. She's searching for her father and gets kidnapped quite often which leaves it to Flint to save her. She carries a sword but never uses it. Later she falls in love with Flint.

Well, I didn't think it was too bad. Having never played the first game I took this game pretty well and played it to the end thinking it was good. Personally I like the game but it could have been better of course. It sounds like it was a quick project and almost simular to Zelda where the princess gets captured all the time.
The only interesting part of the story for me was that Belger looked like Flints father and never tells Flint for some reason. Flint walks into the pirates main layer and runs into the main pirate leader and Belger. Instead of telling his son (Flint) that he's alive and even excited that his son is alive as well...he instead never reveals his true identity and even warns flint to leave and if he catches him there again he will not spare him. Which was mean. >_<' I was hoping for more but then nothing happens after that cut scene even when you're allowed to wonder around the pirate camp later! How boring! lol
