Raspberry was in her garden like she normally was. It was a nice clear day. There was only a few clouds in the sky. This was good for her, only rain was better for the plants. Still, she prefered the rain when she wasn't out there herself.

Skittles scurried through the tree tops happily. He was glad for the beautiful sunshine day. He peered out of the branches and saw a garden a little ways off. He noticed there was another Namir there, and he was tired of being alone. He made his way over to a tree close to the garden and hung down from a branch. "Ello!" he said cheerfully to the purple and blue elder.

Raspberry looked towards the voice. She smiled. "Well, hello there. I'm Raspberry. Welcome to my garden. Are you hungry?" She was always happy to give out her fruit to those that wanted it. As long as they asked. Stealing it wasn't nice.

Skittles looked around at all the things that were growing in amazement. "Really? I can have something?" He was truly excited now. He loved fruits and all foods that grow.

Raspberry smiled. "Sure you can. As long as you don't eat them all." She giggled as she really didn't think that the male would do that it was just a joke. "So, what would you like?" She had strawberries, apples, corn and more.

He eyed each of the tasty treats, his mouth began to water. "Do you have an cucumbers?" he asked curiously. He carefully climbed out of the tree to stand by Raspberry.

"Let me see now." Raspberry walked over to the veggie section. She sniffed and found where it was. Not that she didn't know where it was anyway. She just liked to let her nose find the best smelling one. Raspberry then dug it up and pulled out on nice big cucummber. "Here you are!"

Skittles grinned. "Thank you!" He took the delicious looking cucumber and began nibbling on it. After a few bites, he commented, "This is the best cucumber I've ever had. And I've had a lot of cucumbers." He took another bite. "What's your secret?"

Raspberry blushed a little. "Thanks so much. That's very sweet of you." She took a look at the veggie with a smile. It was nice and big. It also looked nice a ripe. That was the best kind. "I think patience and love is what makes my garden good."

"Patience and love," he repeated. "I should get some of that," he laughed. "I think the love part I could get down with no problems. It's the patience that I'd have trouble with." He paused. "My name is Skittles, I think I forgot to mention that in all my excitement." He took another small bite.

Raspberry smiled. "You know that was and still is my hardest part too. I love them and care for them but sometimes I just want them to grow faster. Then I remember that time makes everything better." She explained with a nod. "Nice to meet you Skittles! I'm glad you like the cucummber!"

He smiled as he thought about her words. "Time makes everything better," he repeated thoughtfully. "You're right, you know." He took another bite and looked around her garden. "And it shows."

Raspberry nodded. "Thanks. Yeah, see in the end it's all worth it. The time and wait. The payoff is the reward." She was happy that it did pay off. Seeing that sometimes she hated waiting. "So, what were you doing out today?" She asked with a smile.

Skittles' eyes concentrated on Raspberry as he finished the cucumber. "Exploring," he said happily as he licked his paws. "Do you ever explore?"

"Exploring? Really? That sounds like fun. No, I mostly stay here. Once in a while I do go out to find seeds. A garden can't grow without seeds. So, I need to find them out there." The elder looked out beyond her little garden with a nod.
