There was only so much time one could spend playing with brothers before one became tired and tired was exactly what she had been when she'd found a nice patch of shade to collapse in, stretching out comfortably to take a nap. It wasn't until later that she awoke with a yawn, stretching out in a way that claws extended, scratching at the ground beneath her. "Must'a slept too long..." She murmured as she rolled to her feet, tail flickering behind her.
It took less than a minute for her to recover the energy that she'd had before, bolting off in the direction that she'd last seen her brother run off in. If she couldn't find him surely she could find something else to do.

As it were, the large, fluffy male lion had just returned from his rounds around the pride. It was a daily routine, one he had grown used to, though he had taken to cutting it as short as possible with the arrival of his newest cubs. With the litter had come a daughter, a single daughter, much like his last. Looking at her was both a blessing, and a heartache at once. Still, he found he took a certain degree of comfort being able to spend time with her, even if he knew that she could never take the place of Tapanga.
As he was passing by a tree, his eyes caught sight of a dark blur, and instantly recognized it as his daughter. A smile spread over his maw, though a certain nagging told him he truly wished she wouldn't be out so far from the den, no matter if she had followed her brothers or not. "Igizo, darling, where are you going?" he called out, turning his path to head for her instead, his bright red eyes shining with unhindered affection.

She attempted to stop dead in her tracks which lead to a quick stumble over her tail and a roll that found her landing on her back in front of her father's feet, glancing up at him with her own red eyes. She smiled brightly the smile of a child who knew that she was somewhere that she probably shouldn't be if only because it made her father worry, hoping that her innocence would get her out of a talking to. "I was going to find 'Tifu again because he ran off while I was napping. Where were you going, Daddy?"

Taabu's breath hitched quite noticeably at the first sign of her little tumble, though he simply smiled with a light chuckle as she flopped down before his paws with such an innocent little smile on her mug. Oh, he knew she was probably aware she shouldn't be out this far from home, especially not alone. "I'll have to talk to him later then about leaving you behind, none of you are supposed to go out alone," he said with a little flicker of his tail, but it was obvious he couldn't even find the heart to be angry at her.
With a little smirk, he leaned down to pick her up by the scruff of her neck, setting her back lightly on her little paws. "I was going to go back home to see you, but I see that I don't need to do that now." He smiled, glancing around them as if Tifu might pop out of no where. It was true he spent more time worrying over his daughter, but he truly didn't like any of them to go off alone. "How about we go and find Tifu, hm?"

"I bet 'Tifu went home to Momma." She nodded as she was set straight, taking a moment to glance at her paws as if making sure that they would stay right where they were; safely beneath her. Her smile brightened as she glanced back up at her father.
"See! It's a good thing I came out here then. Means you don't have ta go looking for me because I'm already here." She seemed rather proud of that, all things considered. "That means we can do something fun."

"You think he did?" he said with a soft glance in the direction of home, staring that way for a long time as he could possibly discern whether or not his young cub had actually gone home to the den. His tail flickered, the seriousness of his face once again lighting into a charming smile. He was sure his son had had to nap, and he was likely to go home to do that. He'd still have to talk to have a talk with him later for leaving his sister behind.
"That is a good thing indeed," he said with a chuckle that he couldn't contain for the life of him, reaching out to ruffed the fur atop her little head. "Why don't we go off on an adventure then, hm? I'll show you something fun." He quirked an eyebrow at her as he stared down at her, waiting for the excited reaction he knew it would spark in her.

"Oooh... A real adventure?" Her eyes brightened as she looked up to the father that she adored, tail ticking behind her as if counting down the seconds to his response, pausing for a moment to give him her best 'stern look' (the one that she'd been practicing for a while that still looked comical no matter how hard she tried). "Only if you promise it will be a fun one, okay?"

"Yes, a real adventure," he retorted patiently, the smile on his face unwavering as his bright eyes stared down at her. As that stern look passed over his face, though, he couldn't help the quiet chuckle that fell from his mug. He did his best to cover it, coughing slightly, before letting his own face fade to a serious one - though amusement still lingered just beneath the surface. "I promise, it'll be a very fun one," he said nodding his head with an over emphasized look.
"Let's get going then, sweetheart," he said, the serious look fading slightly as she turned in another direction, pausing to glance down at her and make sure she was following before he began to walk.

She had scrambled back to her own paws the moment her father started to move, taking several of her own steps to match each one of his. She couldn't help but wonder if her own paws would ever be as big as her father's... Or even half as big.
"Where are we going on our adventure, father?" She questioned curiously, tail swishing for balance as she tried to both walk and talk at the same time.

As they walked along, his steps noticeably slowed so that she didn't have to work quite as hard to keep up with him - though it still took many of her steps to match one of his long strides. He chanced a look down at her, smiling affectionately at her scuttling feet, shaking his head and sending the dark mane tossing lightly with his amusement.
"If I told you, it wouldn't be a very big secret, now would it?" he said with a quirked brow, turning his eyes down to look at her finally. There was the smell of water in the air, growing stronger the farther they walked, and in the distance was the sound of flowing water.

Her nose wrinkled slightly as she pondered that, finding herself falling behind if only for a brief second before she glanced up, scrambling quickly after her father again. "No... It wouldn't be a big secret at all. But... It could be a little one; a little secret between us?" Her eyes gleamed as she tilted her head in an attempt to see her father better, stumbling slightly over her paws as she did so.

He had slowed his steps to almost a halt as she began to fall behind a little. His head turned to look at her just in time to see her scrambling back up to his side, and he fell back into his slow, lackadaisical pace. "Well, where do you think we're going?" he said with a little smirk down at her, the smell of water and the sound of it growing stronger and louder with each step.

"I think we're going to the river... But if you still want it to be a secret I could guess that we're going somewhere else?" She smiled sweetly, tilting her head up to look at her father. "Unless we really are going somewhere else... Are we, Daddy?"

She was observant, he had to give her that much, but even the nose and ears could be fooled - especially at such a young age. He couldn't help but to simply smile, looking down at her with a glimmer of amusement shining brightly in his deep red eyes. "That's a good guess," he said with a little narrowing of his eyes, quite comical when combined with his big grin. He led her towards the forest, a thin portion, and began to clamber through the thinner woods. "Keep up, Igizo, I don't want you to get lost in here," even though he said that, he was taking his sweet time to wait behind for her - as much to make sure she didn't get lost as it was to let her follow in his path as he pushed down briers and limbs alike.

"Don't worry, Daddy! I won't get lost." She followed after his footprints just as much as she did the swish of his tail in front of her. As long as she could see that and feel the imprint of his paws beneath hers she'd be fine. Her father wouldn't let her get lost anyways. He was always looking out for her.
