Not uncommonly, Malice had wandered away form her mother during the weekly trip to the grocery store. She hated such trips, and would always attempt to find something to occupy herself with while Elda shopped for the weekly rations.
Elda didn’t mind the disappearance of her child, who always managed to appear before it was time to go home. In fact, she was relived to be shopping without having to constantly apologize for Malice’s rudeness.
So the little girl wondered up and down the aisles, searching for a relief from her boredom.

Rhiloss had also wandered off from his guardian once inside the store - being just barely 'good' enough to show up again at some point. And Ka had more or less given up trying to keep the boy by his side. He hadn't managed to majorly destroy anything in here yet so Ka could only hope his luck would hold.
Currently, Rhiloss had made his way back to the seafood section and was watching in a fascinated sort of manner as one of the people behind the counter prepared a lobster for a customer. It was weird that the thing didn't seem to have any blood...

Malice headed in the direction of the meat counters. The butcher was one of the few people in the store she’d managed not to insult, and he tolerated her presences as she observed him cutting meats. It was fascinating work, not at all as bloody as she’d seen on the television.
On her way however she got side-tracked in the sea food department, where a skilled hand was working on lobster. Wide-eyed, and fascinated by the giant sea but, she stood next to a strange looking boy who was also watching as the creature was dissected.

It took a moment or two, but soon enough, Rhiloss noticed that another child had joined him and blinked slowly. Turning his head just enough to glance at her, he wondered what she was doing there. Usually kids weren't around here - they thought it was gross.
"Who are you?" he said after another few minutes had passed. He was curious but not so much as to act like he cared.

Malice glared at the offending child. She didn’t like having to answer anyone’s questions, and he was distracting her from the lobster. Which reminded her; weren’t lobsters red?
“I don’t have to answer you or anybody.” She told the weird boy primly, before returning her attention to what was going on behind the glass. Maybe there were different types of lobster, and only some were red and others were blue, like that one.

Another long, slow, blink at that, and Rhiloss turned his attention from the lobster to stare at the girl. "Ooh?" he asked, brows going up just a bit. "Why not?"
This was interesting now. He didn't know who Malice was, but her answer had apparently intrigued him.

“Because I say I don’t and I’m in charge of me.” She dismissed him offhand never taking her eyes from the lobster. She wondered if such a funny-looking thing was really good to eat. She wondered why this boy was talking to her.

She wasn't going to get away that easily though ... not now that he was interested. Tilting head a bit, Rhiloss followed her gaze to the lobster. Then he moved so he was in front of her and waved his hands around wildly in her face.
"Hahaha now what?! You have to answer if you want to seeee~!" he called out, suddenly loud where before he'd been almost unnaturally quiet.

Malice felt her face go red with anger and she worked very hard to suppress the urge to kick the other child somewhere very unpleasant. She knew if she kicked him Elda would be very angry, and that was something she didn’t want to deal with. This boy wasn’t worth it. Instead she turned away from the sea food, and head toward her original destination, the meat counter, without a word.

Rhiloss stopped, and tilted head at that, considering for a moment. Now he was out to annoy her, just to see what she might do. And he followed her, laughing. "Ha, now you're running away!" he called, tone mocking.
"Scared of me or somethin'?"

Malice froze mid-step. She turned on her heel and looked the boy straight in the eyes.
“I’m not afraid of anything.” She said quietly, her voice dripping with suppressed rage. “And I’m certenly not scared of you.”

A wiiiide grin at that. "Then answer the question," he replied, bouncing a little on his heels. He obviously thought that he had found a way to get her to do what he wanted now. "Unless you're scaa-aared to."

“I’m Malice, and you’re dead meat.” She told him sincerely. “No one. Callls. Me. A Coward. Ever.” She glared, as if daring the other boy to disagree.

Rhiloss didn't even back up, staring right back at her placidly. "I don't feel like dead meat," he pointed out after a minute, smirking just slightly. Then he smiled and took a step backwards.
"Whatever you say!"

“Go away. I don’t want to look at your ugly face.” She spat angrily. She knew it was stupid to get worked up over the boy’s stupid comments, but she couldn’t help herself.
