Frost skidded to a halt at the springs, th warm steam rose from the water. He sighed, he could melt away his headache here. He slipped out of his pants and slid into the spring, it felt delightful. For a moment he forgot all about his stupidity. He dipped his head in the spring and got his almost knee length hair wet. It was such a pain to wash but to cut it would mean banishment from his entire home forever. He couldn't stand not being able to go home. He sighed in deep thought.
Say it again if you want to depress me ;

 Cassius walked up slowly, a small duffel bag in one hand. His shirt was open to the waist and he was barefoot, his pants hugging his frame.
He dropped the bag and slid out of his shirt, "Thanks for the invitation... It's been a while since I've even seen a hot spring, much less been in one....," he said softly as he slid out of his pants and into the water with a sigh of pleasure.
He'd gone in on the opposite side of the pool, not really sure of his reception. He wanted to offer to wash the mans hair, but didnt dare give him that much fuel. Instead, he simply laid his head back and closed his eyes.
The last time he'd been in a spring had been at home.... And he was not allowed back there on pain of death.... Apparently the king had a problem with Cass seducing his dear daughter... Laughable since it wasn't even true....

Frost nodded, he didn't mind and really it was the best way to get to know the Siren. He sighed and reached up to a small wire rack that he made to stay in the hostspring at all times. It had a few bottles in it and one very large one. He began the long task of washing his hair, he had to do it in sections. Because it took him so long he only washed it maybe once every three days. He sighed, there wasn't realy any talking while he did this. "Arrg, never grow your hair longer than waist length, it's such a pain if you have it any longer. If it wasn't for tradition I would have cut mine a long time ago." he sighed softly.

Cassius opened his eyes at the comment and made a disgusted sound, moving over to him and batting his hands out of the way, "Let me do that... and in case you haven't noticed, my hair is just as long as yours is, if not a little longer," he said softly as he started the process of washing the hair. He started at the scalp, massaging it as he got the hair there clean before moving his hands down to the rest of it.
Some deity was laughing at him somewhere! They had to be!
He finally went back to Frosts scalp and massaged it all the way down to his shoulders. Loosening up the tense muscles there. Then he reached over to his bag and grabbed a cup, using that to spoon water over the gorgeous length of hair in front of him.
When he was finished, he went back to his side of the spring and busied himself with digging for something in his bag to hide his face, "You have to start with your scalp, then work your way down. It's easier than washing it in sections...," he rambled a bit, then stepped back long enough to wet his own hair down.
Yup! He was embarrassing himself royally now...

Frost blinked, he had never really noticed how long Cassius's hair was, but it appeared the siren was right it really was as long as his. He blinked, stunned that the siren would do this for him, he really must be interested to go this far. He watched as the man wet his own hair ad he bit his lip. He took the cup from the man and motioned for him to move forward. "It's easier if someone else does it...Why do you keep it so long? Does your kind have some slly tradition too?" he asked curiously. For that matter he wondered why the man hadn't turned fishy in the water. Isn't that what happensto sirens in water? He probably could control it by now...he was still curious if he looked exactly like the figurine as a siren. "So do you really sing? Or is that a girl thing?" he asked curiously.

Cassius froze as Frost offered to wash his hair. Then he backed up holding the bottle of the oils he had to use in his hair and skin to keep it from drying out.
"Um... Actually, I like having it long....," he said softly, closing his eyes as the man started scrubbing his scalp.
This was really trying his self-control!
And then he asked about his singing... And Cass froze again, "Yes, actually, I do sing... It's part of being a Siren... But it's more than that...," he started softly, then stopped himself, not sure how much he should say before the man turned away from him thinking he was a freak. He wanted true reactions from Frost, though he wasn't certain why....

Frost used whatever oils and shampoo Cassius had handed to him. He made sure to get every inch of the stark white hair, he massaged the scalp just like Cassius did to him. He sighed, not believing anyone would ever like having their hair this long, it was ridiculous. He started to rinse it out with the cup just like Cassius did with his and when he had rinsed it all out he sat back to look at him. "How much more?" he asked curiously, "I've never met a siren before. The closest thing I've ever come to a sea creature was a selkie. He and I didn't get along well..." He sank into the water down to his chin, it was to good to sit up any further. He sighed softly, relaxed. "You can come here whn ever you want...as long as yo don't tell anyone." he nodded, he didn't want his secret to get out and on top ofthat this could be a special place for him and Cassius.

Cassius nodded, "I won't tell anyone...," he said softly as he dropped into the water before moving back to sit down in the water just as deeply as Frost had, but for a very different reason....
He had to think and get his mind to the question he'd been asked, "Well, Sirens are creatures of seduction, you could say that it's our stock in trade.
"I got very good at it and got banished for my sins, then I went to live with my fathers family, and got banished from there for seducing someone I wouldn't have touched with a ten-foot pole.
"But it isn't just what we do... It's what we are...," he explained as carefully as he could, "Most people think that a Siren is out to seduce everyone, that we can't control it... They're wrong.... I haven't seduced anyone in over a year. Male or female," he added, his voice filled with frustration.

Frost frowned, "Why do you care what people think? Honestly does it really matter? You are who you are and nothing's going to change that. I don't like people to know I knit cute animals but when people see them I stll claim them as mine...If you want to be with someone do it..." He sighed, he hadn't been with anyone, ever and so he could't really relae to Cassius problem. His only friend had always been Isabelle and yet he could not think of her as any more and he has never given her indication to think he thought moreof her. He sighed, "I suppose I can't really relate, I've never been with anyone man or woman..." he shook his head. He isolated himself to much to get into a relationship. No one liked to bekept a secret.

Cassius shook his head as he sat up in the water and took a smaller bottle of his oils and poured a bit into his hand. He set the botle down and began to spread the oil over his arms and chest, contorting to get it over his back as well.
"It's not that, really... It's just that for once, I want someone to want me for real... Not because of a spell...," he said as he reached over and spread a towel on the grass at the edge of the spring.
He got out of the water and sat down on it to spread the oil over his legs and feet, frowning at the few scales that had appeared on the top of his feet. It was the reason that he usually did showers. Less chance of changing. He'd already stayed in the water too long.
"And as for you never being involved with anyone... I'd gladly offer you my own services for a professional opinion if you were ever interested. I find you extremely attractive and very interesting"
He glanced over at Frost, his wet hair falling over his shoulder behind him, "And I find your hobby very cute," he added with a small smile.

Frost nodded, "I see..." he sat back up and wrung out his hair. It took a minute but finally he had finished and he sat up on the bank keeping his feet in the spring. Nudity was something that Frost's kind paid very little attention to. Being raised with his kind, he too paid no attention to nudity. He never had been engaged in a sexual situation and so it never mattered anyway. He just shrugged Cass's words off, "No, I am to isolated and not many people like me very much. On top of that, no one likes to be kept a secret and if they were involved with me they'd have to keep it a secret." He sighed and loked at Cassius's feet curiously. "So...you do turn fishy in the water...how long would you have to stay in there to turn all fishy? How do you get rid of your tail?" He asked curiously. When Cass mentined his stress relif he just made a frustrated sound, "It's just stress relief...not a hobby"

Cass shrugged his shoulder and turned back to rubbing the oil over his body, "Another 20 minutes and I'd be stuck with a tail. Then it would take me a good hour to turn back. I'd have to get dry and wait for every thing to change.," his face got a bit cold, all emotion gone, "And it hurts like hell too. The change to what I am in the water doesn't hurt, it feels like going home in a way. But the change back....," he shook his head.
"It's just not worth it to me. And why in the world would I keep you a secret? It would tweak the living hells out of Sebastet and everyone else to see me with you!" he said, truly shocked that anyone would accuse him of such an insult.
Then he grinned at his disclaimer, "And I still think it's cute, whatever you call it...," he said as he stood and wrapped a towel around his hair to pull the water out of his hair, giving Frost the line of his back where a different type of scale had started to form along his spine.
These were a rainbow of color and used to help him steer in the water as well as defend himself....

Frost shrugged, "Not many people Like me...it wouldn't be just Sebastet you'd be up against." Entertaining the idea, "He grabbed his light blue towel from the wire rack and started to dry his hair as well. He usualy let it air dry, but sometimes it would frost over at his home and he hated that. He sighed and stood to be able to dry his hair better and he saw the scales on Cassius's back. "Their interesting you scales...I've never been one for fish, but you are a very attractive person." He shook his head, "Many of my kind would kill for someone like you on their arm." He finished drying his hair and then wrapped the towel around his waist. In his rush he forgot new clothes and so he would just have to walk home like ths. When his back was turned to pick up his soap and shampoo it revealed a beautiful almost lifelike tattoo of silver and blue wings that went almost down to his feet, but his hair covered most of it.

Cassius turned in time to catch sight of the tattoo on Frosts back and moved over to him, gently moving his hair out of the way so that he could see it fully, "And that is as beautiful as you are Frost. If I cared what anyone would think of me being with you, I wouldn't be here right now," he told him truthfully.
Then he moved over and started to gather his own things, taking a pair of pants out of the bag and tossing Frost a cloak that he'd packed in as well, "There are those amoung my family's people that would have said the same.... Until it came out that I'm a Siren. Male Sirens are very rare," he explained, the calmness of his voice hiding the very real hurt that he could never go back... Not even to see his parents....
"Anyway, you know how to find me. So think about it and let me know if you're interested...," he said as he shouldered his bag and started off down the road.
This time, Frost would have to come to him.....
