Demy was vaquely aware of the feeling of wet fur. Groaning loudly he forced his eyes opened and tried to look around. Erf...wet, sore, bloody, he was not in good shape. Sometime during the night it had rained, and while the rain did a good job of washing some of the blood away he still had quite a bit of it on him, and now he was rather muddy too. Whimpering pitifully he lifted a paw to rub at his aching head...and stopped dead at the feeling or horns. HORNS? He made a sudden movement to get up, only to be met with more pain and a sudden collapse back to the pavement. Wings and second tail lay lifeless on the ground...wait. These...these were things he shouldn't have. These were things MONSTERS had. Why did he have them?! What the ******** was going on?!
He had to get to someone, anyone! Lou was a possibility but...where the hell was he? This place didn't look very familiar...how the hell would he get to anyone he knew? Not that Lou would even want him...especially not NOW. He looked like a demon...he looked like the very things his drugs caused him to fear. Life sure had a great sense of humor didn't it?
He was scrawny, the streets hadn't been treating him well. Spending every last bit of his money on what drugs he could find, the little one hadn't been too overly concerned with feeding himself well. Nor had dressing himself taken a priority. Hair hanging in his face and clothes clinging to his body and new appendages in mere tatters, he was a wreck. Mud and blood caked his fur. The only posessions he still retained were his (very empty) wallet and that poster he had ripped off the wall which were stuffed away in the remains of his pocket, and his battered collar on his neck. His guitar? It was gone. Sold in desperation for a few more hits. He was hardly fit for a puplic appearance, must less begging for a place in anyone's heart.
Slowly, -very- slowly, Demy raised himself to his paws and took a few stumbling steps out of the darkness. He just had to get to somewhere he knew...or someone.

Lali sighed and stretched, inhaling the crisp, clean rain scent. Feeling more than satisfied with her lot in life at the moment, she was humming one of the Electric Oreos hit under her breath as she walked along, looking for scenery to snap pictures of.
Wrinkling her nose slightly as she studied an alleyway, she raised her camera to test the lighting and composition. With luck, this picture wuold come out well. She just had to make sure nothign ruined her shot....

Spencer rode through the wet streets. He hated the rain. The cold air whipping at his face, water droplets still clinging to his bike, leaving the seat damp. He wiped his face with one gloved paw. It had been a long night. The tips were meager and his manager, Chip, was on his a** as always.
The former rock star thought gloomily over the shambles his life had become. So caught up in his thoughts, he nearly missed the familiar figure pausing to take a picture of a disheveled alleyway. The waiter swiftly swung his bike around and pulled up next to the sidewalk. "Hey, Lali," Spence called, his mood lifting at the sight of his old friend.

Something ruining a shot eh? How about the pathetic heap of an Audio that used to be her band leader? Not paying attention to what was in front of him, the boy took a few more steps and promptly collapsed before the pair.

Lali was about to snap the picture when she heard Spence's voice. Turning, she smiled and waved, for a moment not seeing the pitiful figure creeping out of the alley.
"Hey, sweets!" she called. "How goes it?"
She would have said more if it hadn't been for the tattered, bloodied and CHANGED form of her former bandmate staggering out and collapsing before her.
"What the hell...? DEMY?!?"

Spence started to respond when he saw a mud-covered figure crawl forth from what had appeared to be a garbage heap. The elder audio quickly leapt off his bike to come to Lali's defense. He growled slightly, hoping to scare off the would-be attacker. Lali's voice reached his ears as he took one threatening step toward the bedraggled figure. Demy? His eyes fell to the figure's mud-stained face. "Demy?!" he asked incredulously. What was HE doing out here?!

Who...who was calling his name? It simply couldn't be anyone he knew..the odds were too bad for that. But still...someone was calling him, maybe even two someones?
Groaning, the figure raised himself off the ground on his hands and knees. Every little movement was painful, but he couldn't just lay out here in this state. He was totally defenseless! Slowly lifting his head the boy looked at them both through hazy eyes. Even -those- had been changed, and his body and mind were still struggling to adjust to the change.
"...who?..." He couldn't see clearly, he really had no idea who was calling him. He just had to hope it was someone friendly.

Kneeling quickly besides the bedraggled figure, Lali carefully reached out to help steady Demy.
"Oh honey," she whispered thickly, "what the hell happened to you?"
She knew that she should be far more rattled by his new appendages than she was, but all the blood and the painfully thin frame drove those worries from her head. Her friend needed help. Wings and horns were negligible.
"C'mon, babe, try to sit down, okay? Oh, you are a mess..." Looking up at Spence with wide eyes, she gave voice to some of her worry. "What do we do about this? We can't just leave him here..."

Spence eyed the sodden figure, his gaze hardening. "What the hell are you doing out here?! And what the f*ck is with the Halloween costume?!" Obviously mistaking the appendages for a costume the boy had put on in a drug induced haze.
"He'll be fine..." Spence grunted indifferently.

Supported, Demy managed to get himself into a sitting position. Slowly his vision cleared and he could make out just who it was that was helping him.
"L-lali? I...I dunno, it just h-happened and..."
The boy's ears went flat as he heard Spence's voice. Fine? FINE? He was hardly fine! ...But really, should he be surprised? He was a failure, and now a FREAK. Why the hell should he have expected anyone to care?
Giving a pitiful whimper the boy made to crawl back into the alley. Maybe they'd just be better off if he never came back.

Grabbing Demy gently by the arms, Lali forced him to stay sitting and reached out a hand to tip his chin up so she could examine his face. Frowning worriedly, she shook her head at Spence.
"I don't think he's going to shake this off, hon. This's real blood on him, can't you see how it's clotting and matting up his hair?"
Turnign back to Demy, she smiled at him and put a soothing tone into her voice.
"Sweetie, how long have you been like this? Bloody and ermm... battered I mean? If I help you, can you stand up and walk? We need to get you cleaned up and fed, cutie."
Lali gave a purely internal sigh. Doubtless, Demy's drug use was partly to blame for this and maybe the kid deserved a little comeupance... but his current state was frightening. She might've wished Demy tot he furthest hells a few times, but she didn't particularly want to watch him waste away from blood loss in front of her eyes, either.

Spence grumbled a bit, grudgingly admitting to himself that the blood did in fact appear to be Demy's. How did the little brat keep getting into these messes? Wasn't Lou supposed to be taking care of him?
"We can put him on my bike," the waiter grunted. It would be a bit tight but the three of them could probably squeeze onto the two passenger seat. Demy would have to do without a helmet, but with those stupid horns on, it probably wouldn't fit anyway.

"I...I dunno! I just..I've...ALWAYS been a monster!" The boy squirmed, eyes full of tears. "I d-don't deserve you guys, j-just leave me here..."
...Well at least he wasn't the arrogant little s**t he was before. Hadn't Spence always wished he'd own up to his mistakes? Apparently all it took was a very bloody encounter with a strange creature during the night.

Tapping Demy sharply on the end of his muzzle, Lali scowled at him and jerked her head towards the bike.
"Firstly, you are NOT a monster, so don't give me that foolishness. And be damned if I'm going to leave a friend lying bloodied up in a gutter! Try to stand up and get on the damn bike."
Carefully studying Demy's wings, she decided they could at least be folded up so she could sit on the bike. Glancing up at Spence, she shrugged.
"We can take him to my place, it's not that far. And i think we'd better put him between us on the bike. I do not want to risk any wind catching his wings and pulling him off, y'know?"
Then, as she looked around, she found herself frowning again.
"Where's your guitar? Still at your friend's place?"

Spence eyed the younger audio in a state of disbelief. Was he really starting to realize his own mistakes? No....it must be the drugs. Whatever he'd taken had really messed Demy up. Too bad it wouldn't last.
Grunting, the waiter moved to help the winged audio to his feet. "Dumbass," he muttered under his breath.
