Patty lounged on her back, staring up at the clouds. She imagined pictures in her head as they drifted by carelessly. She sighed and shifted uncomfortably. Why couldn't she be like the clouds? Carefree and light. She was trying so hard to be a good girl, but she just wasn't. She rolled over and buried her face in the grass. As much as she wanted to be good, she couldn't deny the fact that she was lonely. So lonely. And being bad was just so much fun...

Tal stood under the shade of a lone tree and gazed solemly at the clouds, thinking. He wondered what it was like to be able to roam freely and do what you wished, and for that to not be considered wrong. He wasused to being wrong, even i being wrong had felt right.

Patty took her face out of her paws and looked around. Sitting here doing nothing wasn't doing her any good. She needed something to do. Looking around, she noticed something under a tree. It looked like another namir. She hoped it was. Having someone to talk to would be great right now. She got up and walked lightly over to him. She smiled as she got close. "Hello there," she called.

Tal was still lost in his thoughts whe he heard a sound in his ear. He turned his head to look at a female whom he had never seen. He gave her a soft glare, and raised his eyebrow in responce to her.

Patty slowed her walk as she neared him. He didn't seem that interested to talk to anyone. She didn't want to bother him, but she had already started talking to him, so she kept on. She decided to make up some excuse for coming over. "Um Hello," she said when she got close to him. "I was just wondering if you might know...which way the river is from here? It seems I must have gotten lost." She chuckled and gave him a kind smile.

Tal looked at Patty, before moving his gaze to his left, where in the background two hills met below. He raised his paw and pointed over that way. "There should be one at the base of the hills," he said as he put his paw back down and moved his gaze back to her.

"Oh, okay," she replied, smiling. She didn't want to linger any longer than she had to, but she did wish that he would maybe join her. "Thank you," she said, "My name is Patty. It was nice talking with you...if you'd like, you can join me at the river." She gave him a smile that was a bit flirtatious, but not coming off too strong.

Tal closed his eyes and rolled them under the eyelids. He knew he should have just ignoed her. He knew she would want some company, and he knew he wa stupid enough to give it to her. He sighed, "Fine..." he mumbled.

Patty frowned. It seemed like he didn't want to come, or even talk to her for that matter. She was tired of feeling disliked. She sighed. "Well, you don't have to. It was just a suggestion. I was a little lonely, and you looked like you might be. Sorry for asking..." she huffed and then turned to go towards the river.

Tal stared silently at her as she spoke, sighing as she walked away. He watched her for a few seconds, before rubbing his head. "I know I am going to regret this later..." he mumbled before sighing again and beginning to follow after her.

Patty turned when she heard his footsteps behind her. Why was he following, she wondered. She huffed again and started to walk a bit faster. She was a bit irritated now. He hadn't exactly been nice to her, although...he hadn't been terribly unfriendly either... Maybe it was just a coincidence she thought. Maybe he wasn't going to the river at all. She kept walking, figuring she would find out when she got there.

Tal began to grow aggravated as she sped up. He didn't see why she wouldn't take this as an opportunity to try to get to know him as he knew she had before, and he didn't like being ignored. He continued to trail after her at the same pace, keeping quiet the whole time.

Patty got to the river and she sat at the edge. She noticed that the male was still following. She then wondered if maybe she had just misinterpreted his unwillingness. She felt kind of bad then, for ignoring him when he had come with her. She sighed and stared into the water, waiting for him to get to there.

Tal was beyond annoyed by the time he finally reached the river's edge. He sat a ways down from Patty, placing his tail in the water in an attempt to cool down. He also closed his eyes, and calmed himself.

Patty didn't know what to do. She couldn't tell whether or not he wanted to talk to her. He didn't seem very interested before, but now he had followed her, but he still wasn't talking to her. 'How strange...' she thought. Well, she definately wasn't going to embarrass herself again. She would wait for him to talk to her. She bent down to get a drink. It was very cool and refreshing. She swished her tail lightly and then dipped herself into the water.
((Well...haha neither of them really want to talk to each other. XD))
