So... I just watched this video of an animation, about a boy and his dog, and... I started to cry. Seriously. At the end the dog dies of old age. What makes it even more depressing is that the video is titled "My First Friend", and the dog was... well, his first friend. What's worse is that it goes on about how the dog changed his life, in a song that is all cute and innocent, before it gets to the part at the end. I'm still sobbing a bit, but I'm calming down. I'm having trouble talking about it right now without feeling like crying again, but at least I'm almost calm. One thing to note is that when I watch or read things in media, it's actually pretty hard to get to me. I have gotten a little sad at some things, but... this is the first time in a while that I'm actually crying over media. Well, I kind of want to know if you saw anything in any kind of media that made you cry, for whatever reason. Everyone has one, right? Here's the video, for the curious. For me, something has to be enough to make me cry. I don't know how to explain it, but I guess it has to be REALLY...enough...This video was sad, but it didn't make me cry... sweatdrop

It's funny that you come up with this thread now, late last night I stumbled onto this band called School for the Dead.
Their one song - Candy Cane - choked me up.
It's about a man who has a messed up spine, so he kind of resembles a candy cane?

I never cry.
God what movies HAVENT I cried during, I mean I just got done tearing up again over Almost Famous.
The other day i cried during 27 dresses and Definitely, Maybe.

MonJ- How am I supposed to be happy that the dog died, described in a way that is heartbreaking? Especially once you consider that I like animals... O_o;
I'm kind of the same way, though. It takes me a while to actually get upset in any way over something I see on a TV show or movie, or something I read in a book. In fact, most fictional characters' deaths make me laugh. I have little empathy for most characters. XD
Vlad- ... Where did you get THAT statistic from? XD
Fort- I know! What's worse is that the song was stuck in my head all day. D:
Billy- Wow. That is kind of a sad song. O_o;
Meru- As I said before, I'm the exact opposite. XD
Oooh, ooh! If you want an example, then... we're reading Lord of the Flies in summer school, and today someone in the story died. At first I thought the death was kind of a... anticlimactic (if that's the proper word). Then I started to get a mental image of it, and suddenly was reminded of those violent stickman cartoons for some reason. I then laughed to myself. God, I'm sick. D;
I admit though, most of those films I haven't seen, or haven't seen in a while, so I don't know if they'd make me cry. O_o;

I'm a p***y when it comes to stuff like that and I will go out of my way to have a good movie cry. OMG OMG OMG!! I cried like a loser during both of those movies... they're SOOO damn sad... I never read the book for A walk to Remember... I should at some point. I don't think I've ever cried while reading a book... ACTUALLY I did cry while reading the last Harry Potter book... so I take that back.
