Bernadette Alice grinned as she trotted away from her fathers dusty desert lands. She knew where she was going. A half way mark between her father's and Cameo's lands. She planned on maybe running into him. She didn't make plans she just was hoping she might run into him again. He was pretty much his best friend and she loved to hang out with him. She moved as quickly as she could. She moved up on top of a grassy hill and look out at the lands, looking for a familiar body. She sat down wrapping her tail around her back leg and looking foreward.

The weather was sunny and a staggering 100 + degrees in Pride Lands today; no surprise there. Cameron has asked his father of permission to leave his duties behind at the pride so he could search for some adventure instead. It had been a while since he went off on his own. The last time he was by himself, he made himself look like an idiot in front his life-long friend, Bernadette.
So off he went, bouncing along to yet another tune stuck in his head as he made his way across the deserted plains. "And life before, makes no sense, never calling, always leaving.."

Bernadette Alice sighed and wrapped her tail around she narrowed her eyes trying to get a better look. She sighed again and shook her head. "I always get my hopes up..." She muttered somthing to her self and looked around. It was hot, and at her fathers lands it would be worse, it would be a thoudsand times hotter. She shook her head and walked over to the nearest tree and flopped down under the tree. She flicked her tail and smiled closing her eyes slightly.

As the camouflaged lion trotted along the hot earth, he spotted a lonesome tree in the distance. It was surrounded by shade, grass, and a few scattered boulders. It looked like a nice little resting spot for those who didn't know their way around and might have gotten lost. That would sure suck.
Come to think of it, he was getting a little tuckered out from all walking he had been doing, so decided to make his way towards the lonely tree.
"Ooooooone is the loneliest number that you've ever-" As he studied the rest area from a closer distance, he spotted something underneath the shade. Perhaps this area was already occupied? Cameo took a few steps closer, hiding himself behind one of the surrounding rocks before peeking an eye out. Ah! Bernadette! What was she doing out in Pride Lands alone?
As various thoughts raced though the teen's head, he suddenly hit the brakes at one; hide and sneak time! She would be so unsuspecting! Hoping not to get her too mad, he crouched low to the ground and began his pursuit.

Bernadette flicked her tail behind her and started humming a song to herself. She flexed her claws in and out of the ground and relaxed. Her ears going back and a smile on her face.
She didn't notice Cameo at all, not even picking up his scent.
She was starting to fall asleep a bit, her eyes drooping down a bit. She shook her head not wanting to fall asleep. She flicked her tail behind her and started to sing what she was humming earlier. "Without you, there'd be no sun in my sky There would be no love in my life There'd be no world left for me And I, oh Baby, I don't know what I would do I'd be lost if I lost you" She smiled slightly as she sang and sat back, and continued singing.

A smile spread across the teen's muzzle as he caught the sound of her beautiful voice. He knew the song she was singing, which popped an idea into his head as he crept forward.
The camouflaged lion stuck close to the tall grass, sneaking around the perimeter of the tree until he was behind it. He gave himself a few moment to gather up some air before jumping out, yelling at the top of his lungs.
"IF YOU EVER LEEEAVE! Oooh, baby you would take away everything real in my liiiiife! AND TELL ME NOOOOW!"

Bernadette smiled slightly as she leaned back more against the tree. She was slowly starting to fall asleep. When she heard a voice her eyes snapped open and she jumped then her eyes snapped to him. It took her a few moments to figure out who it was. When she did she looked up at him and then grinned. "How do I live without you I want to know How do I breathe without you If you ever go How do I ever, ever survive How do I Oh, how do I live" She smirked as she trotted toward him and playfully nipped at his flakes. "Hiya Cameo! You scared me to death. God. Your getting good at that." She gave him a lopsided grin and flicked her tail behind her. She yawned then shook her head trying to shake off the feeling of falling asleep, she was waking up.

At least her reaction was a lot softer this time than the last time he tried to surprise her. Knowing her, she was probably getting used to his little games and before he knows it, she won't make a single flinch.
"Did I ever tell you what an amazin' voice you have?" He grinned and cheeky grin, raising his eyebrows as she nipped at one of his camouflaged flakes.

Bernadette looked up and blinked slightly. When he said that she had a amazing voice. She shook her head and looked dwon trying to hide the slight blush she had. "No you havn't. Thank you though." She flicked her tail behind her and yawned slightly then looked around. "I was looking for you." She grinned slightly. "I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out. I was bored." She shrugged slightly then pawed at him slightly, she was really still a cub at heart to a point. She looked around before back at him, she was glad that he was her friend, she had other ones but when she wanted to hang out he was always there.

"Well it is." He paused for a moment, "Beautiful, that is." He nodded confidently, pretending not to notice the teal in her cheeks becoming pale. She was such a pretty lioness; patterned in stars and a cute little touch of her father's stripes. She looked almost identical to her sister, but for some reason, Cameo saw more in Bernadette. The girl had had some sort of glow about her, it was almost breathtaking.
The starry eyed teen quickly snapped himself out of his daydream, the sound of her soothing voice helping as well. It took him a minute to process her words, hoping he had heard the all correctly in fear that she'd think he wasn't paying attention.
"Hang out?" Because those were the only two words he heard out of the entire sentence, he winged it in hopes he wasn't making himself look like an idiot. "Uh, yeah! Sure! I would love to hang out with you."
He held his breath.

Bernadette blushed a little more when he said it was beautiful. She looked up at him then shook he head. "I'm really not that good Cameo." She tried to get the small blush out of her cheeks as she looked at him. He was pretty cute, she had to admit that. She loved his accent, to a very small point it reminded her of her dads. It was so hard to find others around that were the same age as herself. He was also really easy for her to get along with, she loved that.
When he answered her finally she couldn't help but to arch a small brow at him, she laughed slightly, shaking her head just a bit. She trotted a little closer to him, circling around him then bumping his side playfully. "Oh course silly. Its something we normally do." When he said yes she grinned even more, this day was slowly getting more interesting.
She playfully swiped a paw at him then looked up at him. "What do you want to do? Tag? Swim? Ooo! We could climb up a tree or something. Oror We could wreastle. I bet I could take you down." Her eyes had a mischievous look as she grinned up at him, she was a little smaller then him but it didn't bother her, she didn't care one bit.

He let out a sigh of relief. Good. She didn't notice his daydreaming.
He smiled as she rattled off a list of things to do together, but his attention was captured when she said "wrestle." This would involve physical contact with her, something he'd very much.. Ahh! Since when did he see her like this? She's been his best friend for years and he's never felt something like this before.
He decided to just shake it off, snapping back to reality by the sound of her challenge. "Oooh really? Is that a challenge?" He raised one eyebrow, pawing back at her gently.

Bernadette blinked a few times at his sigh, she wasn't even going to ask, she just pretty much just shrugged it off. She grinned slightly at his words, she noticed that he seemed a little spacy.
When he talked she grinned more then nipped at him slightly she then wormed around some then chuckled. "Yes its a challenge." She moved foreward so she was in front of him, shifting so she was standing up more then puffing out her chest, flicking her tail behind her. She was trying to make herself look bigger then him. "If you think you can handle it." Her voice was teasing. "You seem to be in another world today." She smirked at him trying to edge him on slightly

He ignored her when she mentioned him being out of it. Although he didn't want to admit it, he was very out of it today, unable to get his mind off of new arising conflicts. But alas, he put his thoughts behind him and turned his attention back to his best friend.
"Pfft! Handle it? He chuckled as she attempted to make herself look bigger. Unfortunately for her, Cameo had his father's war-lion genes. Griffin was quite the scary sight, biggest lion he had ever seen around Pride Lands.
"I'll take you doooown!" He growled a fierce, yet playful growl before lowering himself further to the ground. By this time, his tail feathers were straight up in the air and his chest was brushing against the soft grass, tickling his orangey colored fur.

Bernadette grinned as she looked up at him, he was still bigger then her. She knew it too. She didn't care, however if she was going against his father. Whoa he was big.
"I don't think you can Cameo." She teased. She was set on slightly distracting him. "I don't think you can." She repeated, when he slunk down she couln't help but to giggle, she croutched down herself whipping her tail behind her. She swiped at paw at him. "We lets see if you can." She growled playfully. Her growl wasn't as fierce or gruff as his, hers was more soft and playful also silky, matching right along with her voice.
