If anyone else wants to join, please ask those involved first. Remember, and this is for everybody: Old Silverback is Khala's many-times great-grandfather, and only Khala and OS know this. They are the only relatives of each other.  Khala walked down the slopes of the Orxlo Mountains at a walk, happy to have a brief break from helping Old Silverback, her only living relative. She sang a bit to herself, {Like the mountains in springtime....} It was a quiet summer afternoon, warm, but promising a perfect evening with brilliant stars apangled on the clear night sky.

 The depth of the forest amazed and frightened the rainbow dragon. She walked on her own always, taking the paths that others would have strayed from. While most dragons slept, she wandered. Being nocturnal gave you all kinds of adventures to go on and when one was on their own such as she, what more did you have to do than explore?
Stormwind's ears tweaked a bit. { Is that..singing? } She ducked down as fast as she could and stealthily crept closer to the sound.

Khala continued singing in her low voice, unaware of the presence of another dragon listening to her song. {Like a walk in the rain, Like a storm in the desert, Like a sleepy blue ocean....}

Stormwind vaguely remembered bits and pieces of the song from her younger days. She got as close as she dared to the other dragon and laid contently behind some bushes, pleasantly listening in on the melody. The cool earth made a loving bed around her to lie on, adding to the beauty of the moment.
Secretly, she watched from holes in the bush. The dragon was nice looking, with pretty markings on her face. She looked down her own face to the horn residing on her snout. That one piece of genetics caused her more trouble than it was worth.

Khala finished singing and looked up, surprised to see the first stars appearing in the evening sky. She craned her head to look for familiar stars and constellations.

Stormwind pouted. She really didn't want the song to end but she couldn't speak, least she give away her position. Instead, she followed the other dragons eyes skyward and almost instantly said, { Oh, wow! It's Orion. I didn't expect him to be there. }
Oh no! I'm such a slip up, a big, foolish, slip up. The dragon tried to back peddle her way out of the bush, making as little noise as possible.

Khala shook her head. {No, that's a winter constellation from what I've heard--} It was at that moment that Khala realized another dragon she'd never met had spoken. {Who's there? Come out, it's all right, I won't hurt you,} she called out.

The rogue dragon winced. Somewhere smalled she'd been praying that the other hadn't heard her and that she could get away undetected. Well, she wasn't going to be harmed, so she might as well come clean.
Stormwind stood up to her full height, head held high even though she wanted to shrink up. For a female, she was fairly tall, though still lithe, giving her a gawky appearance. She didn't try to hide or flash her horn; it merely sat there, open for insults. { I didn't mean to intrude. I heard your singing a moment ago and came over to hear it all the way through. It seemed a shame to leave midway. }

{ My name? } Stormwind questioned, raising her eyebrow. Years ago, her father had told her that she was a cursed child and that she would be remembered in the hearts of everyone as such. Could it be that he was lying? { I am called Stormwind and you are? }
She flicked pieces of her mane out of her eyes and walked closer before sitting down.

{ Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. It just depends on where and when I travel. } She answered happily. The concept of a pack or even a group of dragons was lost to her. Large numbers often fought amongst one another. She didn't particularly care for violence, so she tried to steer clear of them. { Do you reside in these woods? I'm sorry for trespassing, if you do. }

{I live uphill from here in a cave with some other dragons. We're finding and hatching eggs we find from after the Plague. We'll move on at some point to find more eggs that need hatching.}

You'll have to excuse me, seeing as I haven't been in contact with many dragons over the years, but what plague? } Had she truly been out of the loop so long as to not know of something as drastic as a plague? How horrible it must have been for those involed, Stormwind thought to herself. How many of her old friends died because of it, if any?

{It happened before I was born, and it's why I don't have any close family. I'm an orphan, and almost all of the rest of my family is dead. I think it happened long before I was born, maybe before you were born, too.}
((OoC: We *definitely* need to make it clear that a plague wiped out most of the Godar dragon population and is why there aren't too many of the species around. xd ))
