Name: Angus J. Reeds. Gender: Male. Age: Seventeen. Year: Seventh. House: Hufflepuff.
Ethnicity: Scottish/Irish.
Hair/Eye Color: Angus has a very pale complexion, wavy brown hair, and murky grey-green eyes.
Pet: A fluffy Persian cat, named Julius.
Home Life: Angus is singled out in his family, a black sheep in a herd of purest white. Not only is he the only wizard ever born to their "picture perfect" family, he's also homosexual in a very religious, intolerant home. His father, Joseph, has tried to "beat the weirdness out of him", a fact Angus rarely speaks of. His mother, Julia, stands by, silent and wary. What she makes of the abuse is unknown to anyone. Angus says nothing of the mistreatment, fearing his mother's mental state. she seems to be holding the family together, but Angus suspects that one small explosion can send her to the nuthouse. He tolerates his father out of sympathy for his mother. Angus will not speak to his father, however, unless spoken to. He has somehow retained a nugget of his father's terrible pride. Joseph and Julia have no other children. All the rest of Angus' family is kept fairly distant, purposefully so by his proud parents. If anyone discovered how "weird" their son had gotten... The family rests their heads in a small subdivision, outlying Cork, Ireland.
Diving deeper: During the summer, Julius, Angus' cat, must be kept by a helpful friend, (usually Charisma Glikken), as his parents disapprove of animals, not to mention Angus' closeness with his pet. Angus is not a closed, or sullen person, despite his past. He's found as outgoing, talkative, and even charming, to some. He sometimes gets in trouble for not paying attention in class, but other than that, he does well in school. Hogwarts is a place for Angus to be normal- or, at least, as "normal" as he could ever be. Angus likes to keep his sexual orientation fairly discreet. He won't hide the fact, but he does not speak with a lisp, act "girly", or portay any other stereotypical "gay behaviours". He doesn't date alot, but he does love to flirt, and can generally attract many friends. He's fond of animals, and is generally just a social and caring person.
Taking a closer look:"Angus," a weak, female voice strained from downstairs. "Angus, please come to dinner." The floorboards above the greying, tired woman groaned with protest as her son creaked to the staircase. Angus had been styling his hair, she could smell the gel and other products he used from the bottom step. "Mom," he started as her mouth opened to warn him, "I'm either late to dinner or we risk him moaning and groaning. Your choice." His mother didn't speak. Angus steadied her as they entered the dining room, where dinner was displayed in all its glory. The man of the house was already seated at the hed of the table. Angus took his chair at the left of his father, his mother at the right. Joseph's nostrals flared. "OUT OF MY HOUSE!" he roared. "I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF IT! GET OUT! GET OUT!" "Father, please-" "I WILL NOT TOLERATE QUEERS IN MY HOUSE. YOU ACT LIKE A NORMAL HUMAN BEING AND YOU GET THE GREEN BEANS. GET OUT AND DON'T COME BACK TILL THAT CRAP IS OUT OF YOUR HAIR!" The muscular, middle-aged man grabbed the centerpiece from the table- which unfortunately, was the family candlesticks, and chased the lanky man-child "out of the house", stopping in the doorway as Angus huffed and puffed into the street. The door slammed. There's a river not too far from here, Angus shrugged, it's the best I can do. Wand safetly in his pocket, the boy walked the empty street, as the clouds darkened with the promise of rain.

You have been Accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
He's perfect with his 'imperfections.' <3 This character role is a very serious one to play. The way you handle his actions, reactions, habits and attitude has to be done with much care and thought. Though I have no doubt that you will be careful and considerate towards others (who may or may not be in agreement with his difficulties: sexuality, abuse and religious family who don't show support, etc), I just wanted to put it out there. But I do love this character. So still have fun with him!
