okay so i think by 2010 (maybe 2009) owners are only allowed to have 4 teams. At the current moment Rousch-Fenway has five. So who will it be? More than likely it will be Jamie McMurry and the # 26 car but his contract expires at the end of this year. Will they just go down to a 4 car team at the end of this year or will they sign Jamie or somebody else for one year to run next year(if the deadline is 2010)?

Unfortunatly, that rule comes into effect after this season. But if one team goes, I really hope the 26 team goes. The performance just isn't there.

It will go to the team that is not getting the most sponsorship dollars and performance. Which, in that case, I agree with the 2 above statements. It should be McMurray to get the boot. We know Edwards is their for another 3 yrs. We know Biffle is their for another 3 yrs. and I think Ragan is solid in the organization now. Kenseth, oh boy would Jack be stupid to let him go. I don't think they should drop a team though, I think they should "transplant" it. Wasn't Yates thinking about a 3rd car? Maybe the 26 and sponsor will go there, McMurray could go too.

Yeah I think Jamie could still do good

If I remember right they announced a few months ago that Jamie wouldn't be back next year.

Jack is to stubborn to let anyone go , that should have been dropped to begin with. To be honest the entire Ford program has been in utter chaos recently. Jack should've retired the #6 and the team when Mark retired. Having 5 cars and at one point 6 cars is too much for any 1 organization. The points of the 26 should move over to the Woods along with the sponsorship aswell, and hey if he is up to why not Jamie himself? Then something that should've happened a long time ago needs to happen.... Wood/ Yates merger. Bring together 3 of Fords most elusive numbers 28,21, and the 26! With the Wood's truck team aswell... Now I can gurantee you that Ford's 09 lineup with that in place along with the stand alone 47 and 60 will make some noise once again... for the first time without Mark and Dale behind them. eek ... But of coarse Jack is to egotistic to let something this wonderful happen... stare

Kurokage Sanada i think the 26 team should disappear. I wouldn't mind that, but I also think we need an equal number of each manufacturers cars in the field. McMurray needs to go.

If they actually did allow the 26 to stay (God forbid) and Jack could keep 5 cars.. (double God forbid) who on the current free agent list would you put in it?... or would you keep Big Mac?

I think that's a good idea, although it will not happen. The 26 needs to go to Yates with Mears driving it.
