Martin was feeling better after his run in with Nightshade. Sure she had beat him to a pulp and almost killed him, but then meeting up with Alyna had boosted his spirits. Still though, Cobalt freaked him out, half Kalona's were an abomination. Martin shuddered as a cool ripple of fear ran down his spine. He was still badly hurt, but not dead, not yet. He was almost at the teepee, there he could rest up and find some herbs to help his wounds.
He limped along the path, wincing everytime his leg was jostled, or his neck twisted. He smelled Katrina nearby, and groaned. Katrina had to be the most annoying mare on the planet. He didn't want to have to stop and talk to her.

Katrina smelled Martin too, and she couldn't wait till she found him. He was so much fun to critisize, one time he had come home covered in mud though, and Katrina had almost had a fit when she saw the state of his coat. She cantered out of the trees and halted in front of him. She raised an eyebrow as she saw the deep hole in his neck, and the deep gash down his leg.
Primly, she raised her head and said, "Martin, your absolutly filthy. Its disguesting."

Martin ground his teeth, and said, "Shut up Katrina, I'm not in the mood." And he wasn't. Today he had almost died, that was enough to put anyone in a bad mood. He shoved his way past her, ignoring her little cry of outrage as he ruined her curls. He limped farther on, hoping she was perterbed enough to just leave him alone.

Katrina glared at Martin, he didn't have to be so rude. She followed him, and got in front of him again. She stopped, and said, "Martin, that was incredibly rude. You've ruined my curls, and have lost your manners." She continued lecturing him, "What would your father have to say about this?" Martin was getting to be such the brat lately, it was so annoying.

Martin took a couple deep breaths, trying to keep his cool at the annoying mare in front of him. He closed his eyes and gritted his teeth. He growled, "NOT NOW Katrina." He shoved past her again, and yelled back at her, "I've had a HORRID day, so just SHUT UP!" He fumed angrily.

Katrina ignored Martin and prattled on, "Your hooves need a new coat of polish, and you should really try my mane and tail conditioner. Yours need it." She stuck her nose in the air and strutted past him, tossing over her shoulder, "And you're filthy, take a bath before you come in the teepee tonight, or better yet, don't come in at all, you'll track dirt and blood everywhere." She sighed and rolled her eyes. Why couldn't everyone be as fashion sensitive as she was.

Martin lost it. Katrina had pushed him past the edge and into the fire. He saw red, and felt that famaliar feeling welling up inside of him. He tried to stop it, he didn't want to do this! But now the feeling was in control. He wanted to hurt this mare who was torementing him so badly, he wanted to hear her scream. He chuckled darkly, and said in a deadly voice, "Katrina, you didn't remember your manners, you forgot to say goodbye!" And with that, he lunged at Katrina, and sunk his teeth into her shoulder, pulling her to the ground. He raked at her exposed stomach with sharp back hooves, and ripped at her neck with his teeth. He could feel her warm blood in his mouth, and that enraged him more. He felt her struggles weaken, and he released her, ready to run in for the killing blow.
Thats when he saw the shock and utter fear on her face, her mane and tail ripped, her stomach scoured with long bloody gashes, the deep cuts in her neck, and the blood that stained her coat. For a moment, he was in control again, and he was horrified by what he had done to Kiun's daughter. He saw Katrina cowering in fear, and he took a few shocked steps back. He stuttered, "I-I"

Katrina felt pain on a grander scale than any she had felt before, she was on the ground, and she couldn't get up, she was too wounded. She was imobilized, by fear and shock. As Martin moved, she got up and skittered away from him, a haunted look in her eyes, and she cowered behind a tree. Who was this? This wasn't Martin. She was in pain, so much pain...When Martin started to speak she cut in and screamed, "SAVE IT MARTIN! I DON"T WANT TO HEAR IT!" She started wailing and sobbing, but choked out, "Leave, and don't EVER COME BACK! YOU HEAR ME? Don't EVER come back!!!" With that she galloped away, sobbing and crying, back to the teepee.

Martin stumbled back a few more steps, terrified at what he had done. He could never go back home now, not even in a million years. He had almost killed Kiun's daughter, Qin would be horrified at what he had done, and would throw Martin out anyway. The only thing he could do was run, run as far and as fast away from this bloody spot as he could. He had nothing to lose now, and as he thought this, the old Martin faded away, to be replaced by the bloodthirsty stallion that he was now. He was a loner, would kill, would fight, would harm, he had nothing to lose now, but still somwhere inside of him called for him to redeem himself, but he didn't know how, so for now he would sucumb to what his instincts were telling him, and fight.
