Bad news: I lost my Animal Crossing: Wild World cartridge.
Good news: I found it.
Bad news: I found it in the washing machine after I ran the laundry.
GREAT NEWS: It still ******** works. Data intact and everything.
Discuss- HOW NINTENDO IS GODDAMN MAGIC.
Had to share that. ^_^

Nintendo stuff is made of nintendium, the toughest material known to man. The games sometimes are made out of it but the consoles are surely made of it.
Also, similar situation has happen with me and my pokemon gb games. :O
Good to know a game like that maintained it's save.

Most nintendo products are indestructible. X-Play did something once, where they dropped weights onto consoles, hit them with sledgehammers, and dropped them off high places, and the Gamecube was the only one working in the end. (Second place went to Xbox)
I've dropped my DS down the stairs before, and my friend bitchslapped it out of my hand, into the celing, off a wall, and onto the tiled floor. It still works. Hinge is broken, but hay.
Nintendo = Wow.

I don't think nintendo likes me then. D:
I've broken two of their handheld gaming systems before. The first was a Nintendo Advanced, I kind of broke the screen when I got mad at it while playing Hamtaro. I kind of smashed the screen against my head so the system got all messed up. sweatdrop The Second one was an Original Nintendo DS and it broke from my Siberian Husky-Lab mix dog sitting on it. That one I had actually paid for completely by myself too so I was ticked. In the DS the screen was also the thing that broke. Both of them would only go to the main screen and no further when turned on.
Shoy-I laughed so much when I read that. xD

Pix or it didn't happen. And yeah, It's also fallen out of my friend's car and spun in circles on the asphalt. Explains the scratches on the top. If you can't tell, my DS is very worn. eDe

Oh, broken hinge one is Shoy's second DS. His first met its end when it was on its way home from a trip and was put in the trunk and a suitcase slid into it.
The top screen was SHOT. xD
The top layer of the old DS is moderately weak and can break screens if pressed hard enough.

I've got an old advance... left it outside for 3 days... rainy days... and humid... and hot...
Brought it in, dried it off, let it sit... started it right up.
I'm not saying that I haven't seen broken Nintendo stuff... but if everything was made to that standard... Well, there'd be a whole lot less broken stuff in the work... That, and car crashes @ 50mph would barely leave scratch marks in the respective cars... ^_^

The mystery here is not what Nintendo products are made of but why no one checks their pockets before doing the laundry....

ahaha i dont remember ever breaking any nintendo stuff. Well, my gamecube broke itself back in the day. Got it fixed so I don't care. ahaha.
I dumped my laundry basket in the machine once, turns out my little cord thingy that connects gamecube to advance was in there. I don't know what I did with it, I never tried it out. ahaha.
also, shoy, i pretty much died laughing about your ds. thats like my phone, NOTHING breaks that thing.
worst thing i left in the laundry was probably a pack of gum tho. ugh.
