In the distance, the sun was fading into the horizon, blending bright oranges and pinks into the darkening sky. An usdia mare with a stitched marked face watched the sunset for a brief moment, enjoying the cooler air the night brought with it. She moved to stand on her hooves, feeling the need to be more wary in the night. Her pale blue eyes flickered around the forested area, not sure of where to head off to.
As the mare started to walk into the forest, she was stopped by a large web blocking her path. Pocket Lint only cringed at the sight. Her heart pounded her chest, knowing what kind of creature could make such a thing. The web was larger than her, did that mean the spider was larger than normal?

Dark red eyes seemed to pierce the coming night sky. Their owner watched the sun set and grinned a bit. Night time was her favorite time to be about, especially since her dark coloration made it easier to go about. Now that the sun was down, she started down a path til she heard a sound. Maybe it was another soquili, or usdia?
She stopped and saw what seemed to be another usdia mare come upon near her. The mare then saw a giant spider web, similar to her own. Grinning, she stepped towards the other mare. "Afraid of spiders?"

Princess Pocket Lint lifted her head up slightly, inclining her head to listen to her surroundings. Night time always made her feel more wary, yet she prefered the night for unknown reasons. Her ears flickered about, straining to hear the noises around her, trying to assure herself there wasn't anyone behind her.
The mare looked back in front of her, stepping back from the spider web. She didn't want to get caught in the web. She nearly jumped up, hearing the voice. The hairs on her neck were nearly standing on end. Turning her head, mechanically, towards the voice, she saw another usdia mare. Was it possible for her to make a spiderweb? She had spiderwebs painted on her body, but did that necessarily meant she was a spider. The mare looked confused how to answer that question. She didn't want to lie, but she didn't want to come off as a scardy-cat. The mare could only nod, her gaze falling to the ground in shame.

Such a lovely night it was this night, it would seem that it would be a nice and clear night, her favorite. She didn't think about it, though even her colors made it easy to hide, her hair was a bright white that was hard to miss. Spending lots of nights up, her eyes seemed to like the dark better, she had seen the other before she was noticed.
Burryna had been admiring the web when she saw the other and had waited til she was closer to speak. She laughed when she realized she had scared the other. "Spiders aren't to be afraid of, as long as you don't disturb them." Her head nodded. "I'm Burryna, what is your name?"

The more she thought about the night; the more she thought about reasons to like it. She took a breath. Since the air was cooler, the air felt crisper and more refreshing. Sure, air could be like that during the day, but it could be guarenteed to be found during the night.
Although, the usdia mare that stood in front of her surprised her. She didn't expect to see a mare who bore the design of spider webs. The mare could only warily watch the girl as she came closer, laughing. It nerved her, making her want to draw back where she would be assured space between her and the new mare. Her movements were stiff, her muscles tightening with every movement the other made.
Her gaze shifted from the mare to the enormous web in front of her. Her head lowered, catching sight of the spider that decided to make its presence known on its web. It felt the vibrations on his web, believe his web had done the job. Her pale blue eyes glanced back to Burryna, not sure if she trusted her with her name yet and just shook her head. She wasn't exactly willing to answer that simple question.

Burryna watched the other female and noticed how she seemed to make the other nervous, did she really have the effect on others. When the other usdia shifted and moved back, she decided to stop her approach and stay where she was standing.
Her head turned and glanced at the web behind her, did the mare think she did it perhaps, since of her markings? She then saw the spider and smiled some and turned back. "Not wanting to give your name? That is fine. You don't seem very talkative, do you?"

Pocket Lint kept on looking at Burryna and then back to the web. She just naturally nervous with others, espcially to unfamilar scary soquili.
She frowned at the spider, trying to avoid looking at it. She settled her gaze between the ground, Burryna and sometimes the spider on the web. She couldn't help but compare her to the spider and how similar they were, kind of. The mare shook her head to the questions, having the same answer for both, "no". She wasn't talkative unless she was really comfortable with them and she didn't given her name until she established some sort of trust with the other soquili.

Burryna nodded and looked around. It seemed this mare wasn't very comfortable around others at all. Her eyes looked to the spiderweb, the other probably didn't like the web either, which made Burryna herself more scary. "You don't like spiders, do you. Don't worry! I'm not scary like the spiders at all, I just happen to be colored like one."

Pocket Lint just nodded her head slowly at the question. The gigantic spider was starting to freak her out, her stitched markings on her mouth started to stretch out at her displeasure of the sight of the spider. Her pale gray-blue eyes just tried to stay on the other usdia. She was going to ask why the other usdia was colored like a cobweb, but decided against it because she couldn't really help having markings of a cobweb. In a quiet, soft voice that would need to be carefully listened to in order to catch what she was saying whispered, "D-do you like them..?" She asked hesitantly.

Burryna watched the other usdia mare for a moment, watching her start to freak out over the spider near them. She herself didn't mind spiders, though would rather stay away incase they were poisonous. Her ears twitched when she heard the other spoke and listened to her carefully, not to miss a word. "Them... the spiders? I do not bother them, and they don't bother me." Glancing at the spider for the moment and then turned back to the other. "Would you like to talk to me, away from the spider?" She smiled softly, hoping the other would warm up to her some, it was always nice to make new friends.

Pocket Lint couldn't stop looking at the spider. The more that she stared at it, the more that it messed with her head. Her imagination got the best of her, remembering all those times walking through the stringy cobwebs. She even imagined feeling the spider crawl across her body. She shivered involuntarily, at the thought of eight legs moving all over her body. A voice called her out of her thoughts and she drew back to look at the girl. "S-so.. you d-do not care for them?" She asked in a hesitant, soft voice. "Y-yes, please." She said softly with an embaressed flush to her face. The mare might not think of the darker usdia mare to be twice as scary if she wasn't standing near the spider web.

The mare grinned some as she watched the others reaction to spiders, though she didn't like spiders, they didn't bother her that much. It seemed the other mare didn't like them at all and would be much more comfortable away from the web. Burryna shook her head side to side. "Nope, I don't like spiders very much at all, ironic huh?" She smiled some and started to walk away from the web, motioning to the other female. "It's okay. So would you tell me your name yet, or no?"

Princess Pocket Lint looked surprised turning her attention fully on the mare before her. "Oh.. y-you don't?" She found that very strange. "Y-you aren't afraid of t-them like I am...? D-do you just not like them?" She asked in a hushed tone, not sure if the spider could understand them and decide that it might want to scare her.
The more she stared at the other mare, she felt more relaxed around her. She seemed to be redirecting her fear and focus her attention away from the spider. "W-well... You d-don't have the markings of a s-spider--" She shuddered at the mention of the word. "-- b-but, you have the pretty m-markings of their webs." Without realizing it, she trailed after the other mare. "O-oh! I-I'm sorry..." She said feeling embarrassed. "M-my name is P-P-Princess Pocket L-lint."
