THE FIRE FIELD!!
A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are very hot to touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat.

"So... hot!" Renekai gasped, for what felt like the umpteenth time. "Fire field, desert field, electric field, we have absolutely NO luck at all!" Renekai was sweating already; but complaining did nothing but get her frustrated. "Okay, out you go, Bell, but please don't kill me." With that, Renekai raised a pokeball. a jet of red light shot out, revealing a Delibird.
One quick survey of the field was enough for Bell; she hopped off her red-hot pillar and began flying, the heat rising in waves and making it easy to stay aloft with minimal effort. Bell slowly and deliberately turned to Renekai, eyes cold and glaring. It was, of course, Renekai's fault for this field. Therefore it was, of course, right to punish her... That was what Bell thought.
Renekai had to act fast to avoid the flying chunk of ice that came hurtling overhead. "Th-thanks!" Renekai said to her pokemon, knowing very well that the ice ball had not been meant as a gift. Still, though it was melting quickly, it would be something nice to help Renekai cool off.
"Well, I hope the heat is bearable for the other side!" Renekai said bracingly, getting ready for the battle. "I don't even know what pokemon will be used against Bell yet!"

The moment Kayla walked into the stadium, she admitted a loud groan. Not this again! I was just at a desert, an electric and this fire-damn-field already! I even had the displeasure of being in a smelly city field along with a graveyard field. Why cannot it not be some pretty grass field or a fun beach!
Kayla took off her jacket and dropped it on the platform as she was raised up. She went into her bag like she did previously when she had this field and splashed some water on herself, face and drank too. Well that's a little refreshing but it won't stop the sweat. Ick.
Then she looked up to see the other trainer getting pelted by a ice cube from the Delibird and smiled in amusement. Of course the bird would hate it here. It's not their forte.
"Alright then! I guess I'll let my pokemon out as well." She shouted loud enough to be heard over the lava bubbling and from the other end. "Go, Grinch! Keep those feet moving!" She warned as she released the cubone onto the field.
Grinch emerged from his pokeball and the moment his feet touched the hot ground, he started bouncing and dancing like it was a party, although he didn't enjoy it one bit.
"Cuuuuuu-bone!" He whined and complained at the heat burned a little at the sole of his feet. He was smart enough to use his bone as something to separate himself from the hot ground, even if it's for a moment.

((I must say, I think that Grinch looks lovely. The markings on his skull are beautiful, and he's a shiny, on top of that! But enough compliments; time to fight. 8D))

Renekai was feeling rather playful, so she decided to make an attempt at a joke. "Bell, I think that that Cubone wants to play with us! How 'bout we play basketball with him, but without the basket and with a lot more ice? Ice Ball!"
A large and lethal-looking chunk of ice popped out of Bell's beak and into her flipper/wing. She lifted the hefty ice ball to eye level, took aim, and heaved it forward with a grunt, aiming at Grinch's chest.
((Super effective for 150 damage if it hits normally...))

Grinched tilted his head in confusion at the other trainer's attempt at a joke but he didn't get a chance to ponder on it for long. The large ice ball ricocheted off Grinch's head and set him off balance on his bone and knocked him onto the ground.
The moment his back touched the blazing heat of the ground, he sprang up howling in pain before dancing on his feet again, eyes fixed on the delibird.
"Let's show them a different sport with a little twist! Rock Slide!"
Grinch picked up his bone again and it started to glow. He then, slammed it into the ground, causing several large boulders to start flying towards the flying penguin. "Dodgeball with a twist." Kayla grinned cheekily.

((Oh mah gosh! Critical hit + Super effective x4 = 400 damage! gonk ))
Taken completely by surprise, Bell was brutally hit over and over again, unable to dodge the flying rocks. Finally, she could not fly any more and fell to the safety net below, covered in injuries and bits of rock.
It was all Renekai could do to prevent herself from screaming. That was a really, really bad thing. Bell was hurt so badly in one hit! Gritting her teeth, Renekai pondered the next attack. She didn't know anything to do but hurl more ice attacks, so they would have to hope that they couldn't land another attack like that one... "Bell," Renekai called down to her wounded Delibird. "Bell, can you stand?"
Bell struggled to her feet, wincing at the pain. She wasn't done yet. Without waiting for orders, Bell began throwing ice balls once again.

When the weakened Bell managed to get up onto her webbed feet, she started throwing more ice balls. However, this time, Grinch was ready for them. He dodged, dance around them as if he was performing, smiling and giving off cubone-ish laughs. He was even doing little tricks with his bone, whacking some of the ice balls away. When the attack ended, Grinch returned to a more serious mood but still had a sparkle in his eyes.
Kayla managed not to laugh but it was a smile could not leave her face after watching that. After a few moments, she sombered up and ordered another attack.
"Alright Grinch! Let's use that Iron Tail!"
Grinch's tail started to glow silver metalic as it hardens. With that, he leaped off the platform and flipped so that his tail was coming directly at Bell.

"ICE BEAM!" Renekai shouted, watching the Cubone advance.
Bell, still woozy from the previous attack, could not dodge in time. However, she managed to shoot a fully-charged beam at Grinch's back, and could only hope that it would freeze him, despite the lava that bubbled only a few yards below.
From her trainer's box, Renekai crossed her fingers, her other hand securely clutching the rail as she leaned over to see what was happening below.

In mid fall, Grinch had manage to connect his Iron Tail with Bell but as a consequence, was forced to take the full blast of the Ice Beam.
To Grinch and Kayla's total astonishment, the freezing started at where the ice beam mad contact onto the rest of his body. It was a matter of seconds before Grinch was a cubone-popscile and bounced onto the net. He was frozen still as he was finished the attack and was trying to escape the ice beam too.
Kayla sighed. It had to happen at some point in the battle. Their winning streak was getting too good to be true. Now Grinch was stuck like this for a bit. Luckily for them, the hot lava was starting to melt the ice really quickly. How quickly, Kayla was still unsure but it looks like it might be sooner than the other trainer wants. Which is good for her.
