The fishing game is not fun at ALL.
As far as fun goes, the fishing game is completely LACKING.

The fishing game is extremely addictive.

So, I find myself wasting tons* of my vacation time on this fishing game that I don't even enjoy.
And for what?
For what, I ask you?
For what do I waste tons of my vacation time on an unenjoyable fishing game?

If I wasn't on vacation right now, I'd just stay away from the fishing game all-together.

I tend to enjoy the simulated frustration levels that mimic the reality of fishing, albeit the frustration that occurs when the wonderful Gaia web server farm crashes and burns. Since I can't drop what I'm doing and trot off to fish when I'd like, it's kind of a nice suprise to be able to play at fishing when it is working.

As far as those caps and helms go, it would be kind of nice to get one I like. Then I'll get back to increasing my gold by using a bag of Grade F bait and pulling 200 gold worth of fish out of Durem. That takes me about 12 minutes or so. After three rounds of fishing, I'm good for the day.

I haven't bothered with the Fish Exchange system. I like selling my fish way to much to exchange them for items that are most-likely all fish related.

Fair warning: if you do start fishing, you can lose a great deal of gold up front buying the rod and bait. Start with a 100 gold base rod and use grade F bait to learn at the Bass'ken lake game. You'll be throwing away your quest funds if you spend gold on more expensive rods.

Unless of course you wanna make a name for yourself (On GAIA OMGWTFBBQ!) like I am doing.

I've fished on two diffrent occasions, both times ended up with it freezing or something, and me losing my bait as well as anything I was in the middle of catching. Plus the game is bloody frustrating. Me no likey. xp

Plus, with the Fishing System installed I no longer need to post in forums which makes me incredibly happy. I can make 200 gold in ten minutes! HOTCHA!
