Fabrizio hummed quietly to himself as he cooked. Actually, re-heated, would be the more correct term. He had bought some cheese tamales and now stood in the kitchen and sliced some black olives while he waited for them to finish steaming. Fabrizio sighed. It was nice and quiet... just how he liked it. When he was finished he took his plate of food and walked out into the hall, headed for the door that led outside. He liked eating outdoors if he could find a quiet spot - and that's what he meant to do.

(Yay, that's easier to reply to. xD Even if my brain is half dead.)
Cody was outside laying in the grass, enjoying the nice weather. He yawned as he sat up, he sniffed the air. "Hm?" he asked himself, looking around for where the smell was coming from. He spotted a red, white, and blue dog eating something. "I think I'll go over there and meet him..." he said to himself as he stood and walked towards him.

Fabrizio put his plate down on the grass and leaned back on his elbows. He closed his eyes, and took a nice big whiff of the outdoors. This was his first time outside in a while and he was really enjoying it. Along with the smells of pine and grass and tamales there was a different scent he didn't quite recognize. But it smelled good. Fabrizio sniffed the air a little more and then opened his eyes and looked in the direction the new scent was coming from. There was a Wayward resident he hadn't seen before coming towards him. A gray and white and dog. And he had such beautiful blue eyes... Fabrizio's fingers itched to put pastels to paper and capture that perfect blue but he hadn't brought them with him. Hmmm... Fabrizio thought, I wonder if this guy might sit for me for a few hours. I would love to capture that blue. Then Fabrizio sighed, wondering if it would even be worth it. It might be if the guy knew how to be quiet for any length of time but in his experience not many could keep their mouths shut for more than a few minutes. Fabrizio picked his plate back up and continued to eat determined that he would just ignore the guy instead. He would have to forgo the idea of seizing that wonderful blue for his own.

Cody saw the red. white, and blue dof look at him for a moment, then go back to eating. "I wonder who he is.." he thought out loud. "He looks like a nice guy...." Shrugging he continued walking. When he reached him he smiled and spoke. "Hi there, I'm Cody. What is your name, and another question for you; what is that?" He motioned towards the tamales. He croutched down so that he was at the other dog's eye level.

Aw, crap! Fabrizio thought. Now I have to talk to him. He looked up from his plate and was struck even more so by the blue of this guy's eyes now that he was so close. "Fabrizio" he said in answer to one of Cody's question. Then he pointed to his plate, "eyes." Fabrizio's eyes widened. Quickly he recovered and said "I mean, tamales," hoping that Cody would not notice his slip or if he had, he would at least do Fabrizio the favor of not mentioning it.

"Fabrizio, that's an interesting name." Cody said cheerfully. "Much more interesting than my own." He was tempted to ask why Fabrizio had said 'eyes' but decided to ignore it. Cody sat quietly for a bit, figuring that Fabrizio would want to eat instead of chat. Humming his favorite song, A Little Priest, quietly he thought about things to say or talk about. After about five minuets of silence he asked a simple question. "Sooo... do you eat outside often?"

"No" Fabrizio answered relieved that Cody hadn't asked about the 'eyes' comment even if he couldn't keep quiet. Although, the humming hadn't been too bad... He kind of felt awkward about eating in front of Cody though. So Fabrizio gruffly shoved his plate forward. "Want some?"

Cody looked at the tamales for a moment then shook his head. "Eh, no thanks." He rocked back and forth on his heels quietly, watching the wispy clouds. Absentmindedly he began humming quietly again, still rocking back and forth slightly.
(Sorry if it's not that great. It's early for me.)

Fabrizio went back to eating. Then he got curious. "What is that song?" he asked.
(don't worry, it wasn't great but neither is my post. And it really doesn't matter if it's a wonderful piece of writing as long as we can respond to it. 3nodding )

"Huh?" Cody asked, not knowing what Fabrizio had said at first. "Oh! It's called 'A Little Priest', it's my favorite song. Have you heard it before?"
(Alright. My brain doesn't seem to work correctly until at least noon. xD)

"No," Fabrizio answered. After a few seconds he realized that such a short response might sound rude. He didn't talk much but he was a nice guy and Cody was trying to be friendly so he forced out "Don't listen to music much."
(Lol. Neither does mine! xd )

Cody nodded slightly. "I listen to music all the time." he said, staring off into space. "One of my other favorite songs is One Tin Solder. It's really good." He was still swaying slightly with out realizing it.

"Oh," said Fabrizio. Then, realizing that he should say something else he added, "I'd like to hear it sometime." Fabrizio didn't really want to hear it. He was more interested in getting Cody into his studio so he could see if he could find a mix of pastels or paints to re-create the color of Cody's eyes, but he wasn't sure he should ask on such short acquaintance. And what could it hurt to listen to a little music anyway...

"Cool." Cody said, nodding slightly. "So what kind of things do you like to do in your spare time?" Cody was now looking at Fabrizio instead of staring off into space blankly.
