The stallion had high expectations for the day. He had awoken feeling more wonderful then usual, and even in the high heat he found it impossible to complain. He really had no idea why he was feeling so positive, but he still found it humorous in a sense. Lately he had become rather dull, and he refused to continue on with such ways. He needed to act kingly all the time, even if the weather was trying to help him admit some kind of personal defeat. So alas, he decided to get away from his muggy surroundings, and find the continuous peace he needed in the sky. It was perfect flying conditions, with no wind to distract his luminous hair. He dove off a cliff and soared as comfortably as he could across the sky, and he felt his favorite rush of clouds and wind against his smiling flank.

Seriously, how could he possible complain when life was this good? He imagined that he looked as wonderful as he always did against a pleasant sky, and he stretched his legs out while feeling a usual strength erupt in his chest. If he could roar, he most certainly would at this very moment. But instead, he remained rather princely and intact, since an act so barbaric would be out of character for him. It would have been amusing as hell, though, and the stallion only laughed as he twisted and turned in the pleasant sky air.

Not too far off from the stallion's flight laid bare land, dry and dismal from the ravaging summer's heat. All around was cracked earth, twisted and bare branches, and what little foliage that could muster surviving so long without water were stiff and utterly brown-colored. It looked liked nobody had even bothered an attempt to salvaging the territory, and who could blame them? Rumors started spreading through the kawani people of a new presence where the forest meets the mountains, and the few who ventured out to explore hadn't ever returned.

And so the land stayed untouched, destined to become more and more desolate as the trees and the grasses died...However. It wasn't completely bare of living beings.

A bright, golden mare laid on her side, sulking. Nobody's come by her new home in weeks! Nobody is around for her to snare and enjoy. Why, the las thing she saw may have been that old woman just last week - but she smelled something awful, and the last thing she wanted was to contract that filthy stench.

"This place is a kill joy," she spoke to herself. She needed to move to another territory, when her fun will reign once more! Now, where could she -

A shadow swiftly glided from one side of her body to the other, and it caught her attention to leave her thoughts. Raising an eyebrow, the mare looked up, and was then positively delighted at the sight. A stallion had decided to grace his presence above her territory.

"Well, well....perhaps this place has one last thing to give." And with a smirk, the mare lifts herself off of the ground and begins to follow him from the ground, waiting for the right moment to make her move.

It didn't take Ariston long to scent the bright mare below him. A part of him felt nervous at first, since it WAS a Kalona mare, and he probably was in her territory too. His luck with Kalona mares was somewhat hilarious, and he was rarely the bigger man in any of the scenarios. He couldn't decide what he wanted to do- should he get the hell out of there since safety may have been an issue? Or should he stay and chat, and maybe even flirt when he had the chance? "Questioning myself, tsk tsk." he then mumbled, while staring down at the brighter-figure. Apparently he had met his match in color, and that was highly amusing. "I can't tell if she looks pretty from up here." he also chuckled, and in no surprise, the stallion then turned himself so that he was now facing the mare's direction.

He was, most definitely, going to meet this spectacle creature. It was, afterall, his duty in life! Plus he would have hated himself forever if she was indeed attractive. He couldn't ignore those mares especially!

He then maneuvered himself so that he could land a comfortable distance away from her, just in case he needed to prepare himself for any painful realities. His positive feeling from before graced the idea of meeting a new Kalona mare, since it had been awhile since he had conversed with any himself. And, now that Ariston was safely on the ground, he could tell that the mare was dashing in all aspects of appearance. With such unique features the stallion could only gleam with a usual happiness.

"Good day to you." he then said, while flashing his purple eyes in delight. "Am I intruding on your day? I noticed you following me- or was I only too good to resist?" Heh, and of course, he couldn't help being his usual playful self. He didn't know the mare yet, so he could take as many risks as he wanted at this point!

An eyebrow raised ever so delicately above her brow as she watched a most amusing thing occur: he was turning around towards her. With this new perspective change, the mare could easily distinguish a few features that were otherwise lost before, and this, in turn, also caused her amusement to increase.

It was another kalona. It was a bit difficult at first, but the horns and webbed wings were easy giveaways that he at least had some kalona running in his blood stream, and even more so, was very well-kept for one. Not many of her species preferred the high maintenance of primping, and are usually rather dull or even ugly looking.

Which is unfortunate for Limone. As a mare with high taste, she'd prefer her company to be as beautiful as her to even be considered as such; and even then, it very rarely happens thanks to the unkept kalona and her inability to see anyone else as anything more than prey or play things.

"Perhaps he will prove otherwise," She mused, a grin curling to the side of her cheek as the stallion came closer and closer. Yes, it was obvious that he knew she was there, following him, though if he had any idea what her intentions were she hadn't a clue. She had to think of a way to capture him; perhaps something a little more demure than what she was used to might do the trick for now.

At his landing, she tossed her mane towards the remainder of the sunlight and emitted a short gasp of surprise. "Oh! Excuse me," she started, with a voice as sweet and dark as thick honey, "I just couldn't help it! It's been a long time since I've seen anyone like myself around these parts......who are you?" At her question, she tilted her head ever so slightly to the left and fluttered her lashes a touch - not too much to be obvious, but enough to look - at the very least - feminine and graceful.

Ah! What was this? A Kalona mare that didn't want to eat him, kill him, or even injure him? His day would prove to be better then he expected! He was delighted as he moved closer to the mare's vicinity to see her obvious beauty, and he wondered if her voice could become any sexier then it already was? He felt as though he was melting with each of her words, but despite those feelings, he still chose to remain somewhat guarded. He didn't know her, but still. He could know her, right?

He was a lucky, lucky stallion. Or so, he liked to think!

"Well m'dear," he then said, while bowing his head politely, "I am Ariston. And what happens to be your name?" Once he was done being gentlemanly, he rose his head up again, and flipped his large locks out of his eyes. "I can interpret your other words in two ways. Are you surprised to not see Kalona around these parts? Or are you surprised to see someone as attractive as yourself?" and with that, he winked courteously. "Whatever you answer is fine for me, though I can agree on the second statement in my own personal experience."

Sadly, it was true. It had been awhile since Ariston was joyed with another's beauty. His own could always keep him overly satisfied, but yet he did enjoy gracing other's benefits. Lately Soquili were getting rather lazy, and he was disgusted to even pay attention to such knowledge. Ah well, at least at the moment he was lucky to have something beautiful nearby, and he finally could have a day away from his own reflection. Well, time could be made later on, but for now, there was a mare to entertain!
