A large screen towered over the stadium. A spinner with twelve different battle field locations displayed on the screen, waiting to be choosen. One of the trainers jumps to the control room and presses a big green button to start up the spinner. The screenshots of each battlefield light up as they are passed by the spinner. Finally, the light stops on... The Fire Field A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are very hot to touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat.

It seems that she was attracting alot of new trainers or would-be-trainers lately. After finishing battling with Nyght, she ran across another person who also didn't know how to battle but this time, she had a pokemon of her own. From what the new trainer was saying, Kayla felt that it was time to use all the knowledge she had with battling and use them to the fullest.
So here she was again, in the stadium, ready to train someone who needs help. Kayla reached behind her waist and grabbed a pokeball she feels that needs this battle the most and could finally win something.
"Go, Quintrell Take the heat!" Kayla threw out the pokeball onto one of the giant pillars, safe from the lava below. Quintrell burst out of the pokeball in red and green lights. Once he was fully out, he started hopping and whining at the hot rocks met his tender paws.
"Sorry, Quin! I didn't pick the battle field." Kayla apologized, feeling his pain to some degree. Well now they wait.Quote: Quintrell - 800/800 Now you go ahead and rolll to see who goes first. If you forget to roll in your post...don't worry about it and just roll again. ^__^

Nay-nay didn't take long to show up, she had just made one wrong turn on her way into the stadium. She pulled her long hair into a quick pony tail as she entered the hot open room. Nay looked at the other trainer a bit worried and yet excited about her first battle. She hurried to the platform and grabbed a hold of the railings looking over the battle field. This was no good it would be of no advantage to either of the trainers, at least that meant an even playing field.
Nay-nay grabbed her one pokeball strapped to her belt. She held it tightly while looking at her opponents Eevee. Nay had been to shy to battle anyone out of her own family till now, so Victor had evolved unnoticed by other trainers .
"Go, Victor!!! Keep your feet moving!!" Nay yelled throwing the pokeball onto a large pillar opposite of the one Quintrell was on. Victor gracefully emerged from the pokeball. His ears flattened in obvious objection to the playing field, but he stared at Quintrell ready to battle while prancing in place to keep his feet from burning.
Wishing she could simply ask for a different battle field, Nay winced slightly at the thought of how it must feel. "You'll be ok Victor!" She couldn't help, but worry about his poor little feet.

Kayla was glad that she was wearing her usual clothing or she would be dying in her jacket. There was nothing else for her to do to try to stay cool but drink water and she had plenty of that right here in her trusty bag. Popping one out, she took a deep gulps and splashed it on her face and neck. That was when she noticed the other trainer, what was her name. Oh yeah! Nay-nay or Nay for short.
Putting the bottle away, Kayla smiled. "Awesome field, isn't it?" Pure sarcasm. "Well since this is your first battle, you can go first."
Quin was still prancing where he stood, trying as much as possible to keep from burning his pads but it was almost futile. He whined a bit but not as much as he would in front of the first Umbreon he had ever met, who was also prancing a bit with hot feet.
He desparately wants to get stronger to become any of the evolutions that he could be. But lately, he wasn't sure if it could happen with all the losses he been having. However, he will never let losing bring him down or at least hope it doesn't. Maybe he can prove to his trainer, other trainers, this cool Umbreon and most importantly, to himself that he can win a battle.Quote: 800/800 Since you rolled a higher number, you can go ahead and start the attack. ^__^

Nay laughed a bit at Kayla's sarcasm, Nay-nay was always the type to think that just, because you are battling there is no reason to be mean or full of yourself towards the other trainers. Though she knew Victor didn't feel the same and was no doubt worried about messing his coat from the battle.
"Thanks, I promise I'll try and make this battle worth your time." Nay said with a nod hoping Kayla wasn't going to underestimate her.
Victor let out a growl at the Eevee not far from him. He couldn't help, but wonder what it might evolve into. He had fancied himself a Flareon once, but as he stood today, Victor loved what he was.
"Alright Victor, Let's get those feet moving!! Let's start with a Crunch attack!!!" Nay-nay yelled raise her hands in the air almost like a cheer leader.
"Bree!!!" Victor half barked half growled in reply.
Victor was more than happy to get moving. He ran forwards keeping to what little shadows were provided in this particular field. When he was close enough he jumped towards Quin teeth shown ready to crunch the little Eevee with all their might.

Kayla waited for Nay to start, while trying to stay cool. When she heard the first command of attack, she had to warn Quin to be cautious. "Be alert!"
Victor started to charge, showing his fangs as he prepares to use crunch. A few more feet away, Kayla started her commands. "Now dodge!"
Quintrell did his best to dodge it but compared to the Umbreon, he just wasn't as fast! Victor took a huge bite at the back of Quin's neck, who let out a high-pitched squeal of pain.
The eevee struggled to get out of what felt like the jaws of death. After what felt like forever to Quin and Kayla, the Umbreon must have released Quin because he landed on his belly, which almost burned at the contact of the hot rock; making him jump back up again in shock.
Kayla knew she had to do something to even the odds since Quin could not last as long as Victor could if they played fairly.
"Come on, Quin! Time to spin that Umbreon's mind! Use Swagger!"
With that, Quin basically pranced towards Victor and did a little mocking dance, pretending to be arrogant, flicking his tail here and there, to confuse his opponent or at least hope to. Quote: 700/800 Okay. Since I rolled a 3, 4 This means that the Swagger worked and your pokemon is now confused. Odds for the first dice means it hits while evens it miss. THe second dice means how many turns until the confusion wears off. You will have to roll two 6 sided dice if attacking. If the first dice is even, they attack theirself (critical hits count as critical hits towards themselves, misses count as misses towards themselves, normal hits count as normal hits to themselves). If odd, their attack suceeds and they attack you successfully. If you want to do a status or stat change...let me know. XD

Nay-nay frowned she could tell Victor was confused.
"Come on you're going to let that little guy bother you?!!" Nay shouted hoping to get Victor back on track, but it didn't work.
Nay-nay thought quickly and hoped Victor would pay attention to her.
"Victor use Crunch!" Nay-nay shouted trying to reach the very annoyed looking Victor.*ok edited according to foxy

"Alright!" Kayla hooted as she noticed that the umbreon was in the depth of confusion and didn't understand much of what his trainer was saying.
"Great job, Quin! Now you got him in your grips!" Kayla praised, which Quin gave a joyful cry. However, it didn't last long for Victor managed to understand Nay's command and before Quin could get away, Victor took a other bite out of Quintrell. The cry of joy soon turned to pain as Quin yipped and flail to get away from Victor's grip.
Managing to do so after a few moments, Quin rushed back to his side of the field, still prancing a bit from the heated pillar they were standing on.
"No worries about that, Quin! We still have that umbreon in ropes. Now attack with a Quick Attack!"
"Vee!" And off Quin went, dashing to the left then to the right, so fast that it was almost a brown blur. He then launched himself at Victor....Quote: 600/800 You will keep rolling 2 six sided dice until the confusion effect is done. Every turn you do counts as one turn out every turn that happens. Just so you know. ^__^ So your next attempt to attack will be Confusion: 2/4

"Dodge Victor!!!" Nay screamed , but Victor still seemed rather confused and was hit pretty good with the quick attack.
Victor was knocked back a bit and even though he was confused he still remembered to keep his feet moving from the hot ground. Victor looked about trying to figure out what the hit had come from, but it was almost as if he had forgotten he was in a battle.
"Come on Victor!! You can do it!!! Use Faint Attack!!" Nay knew she mustn't loose faith in Victor, but things could get really bad if he doesn't shake the confusion.

Even though the previous attack on Quin managed to go past the confusion, this time Victor thought ground was the eevee and started slamming his head onto it.
Kayla winced a bit and felt a little sympathic about the confused pokemon but it was a battle and Quin would not have lasted long if they let up on their attacks.
"Alright, boy! Let's give them your Iron Tail!"
"Vee!" Quintrell responded and ran at the umbreon as his tail started to glow and changed colors from a brown to a metalic silver as it hardens. Quin leaped into the air as Victor stopped attacking himself and twisted to slam his tail onto his opponent.

Nay stayed quite she hoped that pure sounds of battle might shake Victor from his confusion, just what could she do to help Victor.
After Victor was hit Nay wanted to just call him back, but she knew he would be very mad at her for that later.
"Come on Victor!! Try Faint Attack again!!!" Nay yelled finally.

Once again, the confusion made Victor mistaken himself as the enemy and started to attack himself again. Now that it happened twice, she felt that the other trainer, Nay, would resent her for causing Victor state of mind. Kayla didn't want to look up at the other trainer for fear of seeing anger at her but that's the hard part about being a trainer. There will sometimes be opponents that won't let up or show any mercy in combat.
"Okay, Quin. Let's continue with Quick Attack!"
Quintrell went on the offensive and moved this way and that to possibly confuse the umbreon further and leaped at Victor.
