Abadon followed the worn dirt path leading away from his home. He looked all around him, hoping nothing would jump out to get him. It was beginning to get dark and he was afraid of what might be lurking in the dark of the shadows. He cautiously padded along until he came to a fork in the path. He sat down and scratched his head, unsure of which way to go.

Ruimte skipped along, humming to himself as he sucked on a mouthful of berries. He was unaware at first of the approaching dark, but noticed when he began to bump into trees. he quickley moved onto this gravel path he found to his left, and continued down it instead.

As it began to get darker, Aba knew he had to choose a path quickly. He finally decided to use eenie meenie miny moe. He pointed to one path and the the other, saying the words out loud. "Eenie, meenie, miny, moe..." back and forth back and forth, "catch a tiger by his toe. If he hollers make him pay 50 dollars every day. My mother told me to pick the very best one and your are it.." he looked at the path that his finger had landed on. He eyed the gravel road carefully, finally deciding it looked safe enough. He started down the path.

Ruimte continued to hum as he followed the path laughing at the noises that tried to scare him. The fros and cicadas were beginning their evening song, so he deceided to sing with them. "I know a song that never, ever, ends..." he saing in his relativley high-pitched voice, it ringing through the sparce woods.

Aba shook with fear at the sound of all the strange noises of the evening. He stared off into the dark woods to one side, wondering what kind of creatures were lurking in there, ready to pounce on him and devour him at any moment. However, Aba was soon relieved to hear someone singing...a familiar voice indeed. He ran as fast as he could toward his friend. When he got into sight, he leaped atop Ruimte, tackling him to the ground.

Ruimte fell silent as he saw his friend, Aba, running at him. "Hi Ab-" he managed to say before being tackled and falling to the ground with a large "Oof". He smiled up at him as he lay there, repeating what he had been saying before. "Hi Aba!"

Aba grinned down at Ruimte then snuggled his neck. "Ruimte," he purred. Aba crawled off his friend and helped him to his feet.
(oops. lol Yeah I had lost internet connection when I was sending it. After I sent it, it said server not found. So I went back and re-sent it after the connection came back. I didn't even notice it had gone twice XD)

Ruimte laughed as he got up. "This is a weird place to meet a friend, dont'cha think?" he said as he smiled at Aba, not a care in the world.

Aba looked around at the darkened figures around him. He looked back at Ruimte and nodded. "Yep. Why're you out here?..." he asked curiously as he tilted his head.

Ruimte scrunched his face together as he thought, before replying, "You see, I had been searching for some berries here in the forest. Then i found some and ate some. Then I fell asleep. Then I woke up and ate some more. Then I ate some as I started walking out. Then it got dark and I ran into a tree. Then I started going along a trail I found. Then you pounced on me. And now I'm telling you about it."

Aba giggled. "Were they good?" he asked referring to the berries, oblivious to the fact that his question had been vague. Aba's tail swished happily as the thoughts shadowy figures waiting in the darkness to grab him slowly melted from his mind.

Ruimte nodded. "Yes, they were very good and sweet and juicy. You should have been there." He looked around casually, scanning the area. "I'd show you were to get them, but I have no idea where we are..."

Aba looked around the darkness, suddenly remembering his fears. He began shaking. "I..I think I am lost too." He began to hear fainted rustling noises coming from somewhere and instantly shot under Ruitme's tail. "What was that?"

Ruimte looked to where the noise had come from, and looked into the shadows. There was a quick flicker of movement before an owl shot down into the bushes, swooping back up with a small snake in its beak. "It was just a small snake." Ruimte said to Abd as he patted his head and smiled, trying to reassure him.
