Scyeth strolled down the corridors of the School of Science and Technology, no particular destination in mind. He didn't really feel like studying. Didn't really feel like attending a class right now, either, especially if it involved that damn Professor Veilwood. Alas, he was hard to avoid, since he was in charge of the whole science thing. At least Scyeth wanted to go into the art of war, and not something terrible science-y.
The blond shook his head and ran a hand through his hair.
No, no, no. Were did he think he was going with that, anyways? He just needed to chill out for a little while, and then he could muster up the mental strength needed to take a dose of class. Scyeth looked around. Hey. He blinked and looked down the hall. Was someone down the way?
"Hey?" he called out, tipping his head to the side. Who was that?

More was wandering. He had been doing it a lot ever since his "promotion". The young man was, being a "special" member of the school, in no way required to attend any classes. He was just there, as a student, only not...and as a teacher, only not.
He tried to return to his daily routine, only to find himself often distracted by his own thoughts. By the time he'd realize it, his feet had already led him to some random places. This time it was no different. He wanted to get lunch from the mall. Instead, he ended up in here, the GOOD part of the school of S&T.
At least it was better than the last time when More wandered into the restricted area that was under construction. He did not want to go back there again.
More sighed out of frustration. He knew this place since Lorioth first introduced the school to him, but he was never here, walking down the hallways all by himself. Occasionally there were voices coming from the room adjacent. More figured they must be students, studying in classrooms.
He didn't belong here. What was he doing here? He was supposed to be at the Mall!
Sighing again, the young man moved slowly, dragging his feet and trying to concentrate on what he planned to do. Then, just as he turned around, a voice called out. More was sure it was geared toward someone else. As a result he didn't answer, but his eyes wandered curiously to find where the voice came from. It sounded familiar...

Yes, there was definitely someone there. Scyeth frowned when the 'someone' didn't answer. Well, jeez. Not pleased, the blond moved forward, tucking his hands into his pockets as he approached and- Why did that person look so familiar? Well, there were quite a lot of blonds in the school, himself included, and-
"More!" he suddenly barked, surprising himself.
It was More! The anger drained away, replaced with an awkward half-smile as the youth approached his friend quickly. It had been ages. Ages. The last time he'd seen More, not counting the fire, was...well, before he got sent home to Australia, actually. It had been entirely too long! And More was a professor now? They needed to catch up!
Scyeth extended a hand for a shake, his smile warmer and more inviting. "Good to see you, man."

More was startled by the sudden shout of his name. It took him a moment to figure out whether the person was saying his name, or just the word "more". The young man was conscious about his name, about the fact that it was the same as a common English word that could be used everyday. It didn't take long for More to think, however, as the other blonde suddenly approached him. Now that the boy was closer, the young man could be able to see who it was. His face looked familiar, but his outfit...well, definitely a science student. More was suddenly reminded a certain moment when a certain boy had run into him with a skateboard and...
Oh right, the boy who taught him how to skate.
More's solemn expression brightened up and his lips formed into a wide smile. It's been a while since he had talked to anyone around his level, which was ironic, considering he was no longer a full student. Seeing a familiar face again certainly cheered the young man up a lot, and More extended his hand to take Scyeth's.
"Why, it's been a while...Scyeth." Scyeth's name came out through his mouth naturally. More was glad, it meant that he hadn't forgotten about the friends he had made before, and it made him comfortable to see his friend still wanted to approach him after what happened. The young man looked at Scyeth. He looked...older now. Did he cut his hair? And the hat and the wild shirt was gone, only replaced by a more eloquent uniform.
"You look...handsome." More chuckled. "It's nice to see you again. How are you?"

Scyeth just smiled up at More, unaware of the train of thought he set off. "Handsome?" he purred, resisting the urge to preen a little. He did like having his ego stroked. "I'm pretty good. Glad to see an old friend," he admitted. He had been meaning to look up the other blond, actually, but at least fate had it out to get them to meet again, anyways. "How have you been?"
Scyeth stepped back, taking notice of More's...outfit change. Huh. That certainly was a...revealing choice of clothing. And that was school approved? Right on, Norman, right on. He looked back up at More and gave him that devious, trademark grin. "So, I hear you're a professor now, huh? Does that mean you can get me out of my classes?" he badgered. That would be sweet.
"I'll give you more skateboard lessons~"

"I'm..pretty confused, but good." More shrugged and gave Scyeth a rather silly grin, taking notice that the other was staring at his own outfit. "And this?" He shook his head, tugging at his lab coat, "It's just for show, really, so I can get into the teacher's lounge without weird looks." More didn't say the fact that he was still getting weird looks every time he approached his new dorm, partly because of his presence, but mostly because of the floating rumors of what happened that night. "So no, I'm not a professor, and I don't teach. Sorry to disappoint you." The young man smiled again, this time trying to be more comfortable. "Although I have to admit, having more skateboard lessons sounds like what I would call 'fun'."
More paused, letting a few chuckles out of himself, feeling all of a sudden unreasonably nervous. Did what happened really influence him to the point that he couldn't even talk right to people he knew? What did Scyeth think of him on that day? The young man shook his head, deciding now it was not the best time to ask.
"What's the matter? Are classes really that bad?"

"Oh, the teacher's lounge? Sweet deal, sweet deal." Scyeth had to admit, he was a little jealous. (Just a little, though.) The blond thought it would be pretty interesting to sneak into that room, see what went on. What did professors talk about in their free time? And did anyone actually like stupid old Professor Veilwood? What a jerk. He tipped his head to the side, smile all lazy and entirely comfortable. "Hey, you can have more skateboard lessons anyways, man. Just come ask me whenever you want."
Scyeth sensed the sudden shift in More's demeanor and raised an eyebrow. Had he said something wrong? They weren't talking about anything sensitive, unless being a teacher, or whatever he actually was, bothered More? The Aussie didn't see why it should, unless...he didn't like how he got there? That could be it. "Uh, what? Oh. No. I just hate Professor Veilwood," he said, face getting dark. Arrogant, no good-
Easy there, tiger.
"Hey More? Are you a demon?" Nothing wrong with being blunt! "I mean, I'm all down with that." Scyeth brushed some hair behind his ear. "Because, I just thought I was the only one here."

More chuckled, "thanks." The young man gave Scyeth a small grin. Having skateboard lessons sounded fun to him, especially when he was with a friend.
"But I haven't met professor Veilwood. I heard he was the head of the science department?" More glanced at Scyeth, noting the youth sulking a little. "Was he really that bad at teaching?" He was curious, but also a little skeptical. To be a teacher at Shinkami, one had to be good at teaching, right? At least, that was what he thought. More reached out and gave Scyeth a pat on the shoulder. "Don't worry about it, I'm sure you can pull it through, you are tough like that."
And then the conversation suddenly changed. More blinked, and his smile unconsciously dropped. He was surprised that Scyeth was so blunt, and so sudden. It took More a few blinks to comprehend what the other boy was asking. The young man then chuckled a little, nervously. "Why do you think that? I don't look like a demon do---"
Then the boy's last words struck him. "Wait, what do you mean you were the only one? You...are a demon?"

Scyeth nodded, making a face as he confirmed More's guess. "Unfortunately," he grumbled. At least his projected path would leave him in the care of Professor Larine more than Professor Veilwood. "Oh, uh. I dunno." The blond smiled sheepishly. He hadn't really given Ardanay much of an opportunity, come to think. "It's more of a personal thing," he attempted to explain. The professor man-handled Scyeth, once. It was more than enough. Really.
But that was neither here nor there. "...yes," Scyeth admitting, nodding slowly. It was about time he started owning up to what he was. There was nothing he could do about it, so he might as well just accept the fact. "I am." But this wasn't supposed to be about him. The blond shrugged it off and peered at More curiously. "What about you? You can't try to tell me you're human. We all saw what you did." It was downright amazing. Scyeth tried to offer a smile. Hopefully More didn't think he was trying to single him out. Scyeth knew how that felt.
"Seriously. You can tell me. I can keep it a secret, if you want."

For the moment the young man was shocked. In fact, he was so surprised that he didn't pay attention to whatever Scyeth had said about his teacher. A demon? Here, in the school? More recalled what happened the night of nightmare. Wasn't that caused by a demon too? A quick thought seeped across his mind, was Scyeth behind the fire? No, he couldn't have, he was there to help wasn't he? More quickly forced the thought to the back of his head. Scyeth was not a bad person. He acted just like a human being...
Then another thought struck. If Scyeth was a demon and can act/look like a human, then wouldn't himself be the same? The thought was even more unpleasant than the former, and the young man frowned visibly at the thought. It shook his belief that he was a human being even further, but the question that Scyeth posed also became a problem to himself. Was he a demon?
"I...don't know." More breathed heavily. "I don't remember anything from my past, so I don't know if I'm a demon or ...whatever other things there is."

Scyeth grimaced, feeling bad he brought it up. It looked like More was struggling with an answer. He might not have wanted to know Scyeth was a demon in the first place; some people had very strong feelings against his kind. At least More hadn't hit him, or something. More was probably one of the few people who could actually leave a dent in Scyeth. He gave a great sigh and clapped a hand over More's shoulder.
"Look, man. Whatever. It's okay," Scyeth said, blue eyes searching More's face. "I'm sure you'll find the answer, someday." His hand feel back to his side and he gave a little half-shrug. "Whatever you are, I'll still be your friend. It can't have any worse rep than a demon." The Aussie offered a weak half-smile, tipping his head to the side. Given, he was much more human in his actions than most of his kind.
Well. All said before hinged on if More still wanted to be his friend.
"...we are friends, right?"

The young man was surprised at Scyeth's reply (the boy was full of surprises!). Out of the boys he had met, Scyeth was perhaps the least "nice" in terms of attitude. Yet, he was...here, comforting More? "You...you sure?" The young man stumbled on his words, too grateful to the boy to even speak normally. His throat felt unusually dry and his voice came out hoarse, as if he had been crying. The school provided him food, shelter, and a place he could call home. But this kind of acceptance, as More realized, was what he wanted the most, at least after what happened that night. If only he could be treated like a normal human being, just like everyone else...if only he was just a student, like everyone else instead of some fancy faculty title given to him just so the teachers can keep him under their grasp. Scyeth had given him the exact kind of acceptance he needed, and of course, he should do the same.
"Thank you." More eventually managed a smile. "Thank you for...being my friend, and...and of course, we are still friends, this will never change, I swear." His smile was a bit wider as he spoke of "friends". What a sweet tasting word...

Scyeth concerned frown slowly morphed back into his usual, cocky smile. He shouldn't have worried so much. More was in the same situation he was, if not worse. He should have given the other blond more credit. Of course he would understand! He understood. The sharp edge of his grin faded away a little, leaving something soft and warm in its wake. He understood. More was probably the only other student at this school that would ever understand. As wonderful as RuiZhi was, he'd never fully fathom the burden of such a dreadful secret, or the complete uncertainty of something you should be completely certain about.
"Any time, my man. Any time." The easy smile stayed in place. "I'm glad we came to an understanding." Scyeth shook his head and ran a hand through his hair. "Well, now that we've got that covered. What do you wanna do? I've got plenty of time to kill." He could do his homework later. Maybe he could get a pass out of More!

More sighed, relieved that Scyeth did not think of him any other way than what he thought about the boy himself. The feeling was mutual, despite all that happened. Perhaps it was because Scyeth was a minor race himself that he saw More not much different? Even so, More still hoped that somehow he was...normal. But of course he knew it was impossible.
The young man's thoughts were interrupted by the other boy's question. He blinked, looking at Scyeth with an amused expression.
"I thought you were in a class---?" More recalled Scyeth begging him to get him out of a certain class earlier. He wasn't going to help Scyeth skip classes, although the boy did look like he hated it genuinely. More chuckled softly and shook his head, "I don't know, at least I thought you were in one. But if you want to...just chill out, I'll be happy to be your company."

"Huh?" Was he supposed to be in class? Eh, if he was, he'd missed too much of it for it to really count, anyways. Didn't matter. "N'aw," he replied, shaking his head with an easy smile. "And even if I was, hanging out with More Krovaski sounds way better," he added with a wink, brushing his blond hair out of his face. He really liked to touch his own hair.
"We can head down to the mall. Gettin' hungry anyways," he drawled, idly wondering what time it actually was. "C'mon." And with the raise of a hand and a turn on his heel, the youth was off, blazing his trail down the hallway.
