have you heard that there were plans to separate LuzViMinda independently to each other? it means you have to use passport when hopping to mindanao/visayas if you're registered in luzon... eek

I don't think they are stupid to even do that. Anyways, I never saw anything like that in the news. Maybe that's just rumors or gossips. I'll believe it if you show me an url or something.

They show gossips and rumors there sometimes. I wouldn't pretty much totally rely on what they show at T.V. if I were you.

Ayaw ko. Pero if I would put myself in the shoe of those moro living in Mindanao, siguro isa din ako dun sa mga naghahabol na mahiwalay ang Mindanao sa Philippines. xd
As for the issue, hindi siguro totoo. Masyadong malaking ang pakinabang ng government sa Mindanao para bitawan nila yun. whee

I am confused...
are you talking about a independet Mindanao? Or is it a federal system for the whole philippines?
If its a federal system for Phil.
Federalism is not a stupid idea and given that we have a conglomeration of different cultures we might as well adopt such a system, And federalism does not mean we all seprate into different countries its just that administration is given to the grass roots level. The only thing bad about this is that our "dynastic" politics might overtake this kind of system.
And the literature on decentralization has suggested casual relationships between good governance and decentralization. The old bureacratic and centralized system has taken its toll on adminsitration and the centralized system we have now(imperial manila) should thus be reassesed.
If it's about the independence of Mindanao
It might happen and given the mecahnism of the U.N, new countries can secede from older ones but that could only happen if there is really an effort by the government to marginalize the bangsamoro which they have done in the past but I do hope efforts are underway to put our muslim brothers into the mainstream.

Nahh that's impossible to separate Mindano from the Rest of the Philippines!!
Kahit taga Mindanao pilipino rin sila. atsaka I've been to Mindanao and im defenetly sure that there are more catholics than Muslims. The media is just exagerating...Mindanao has only he highest percentage of muslims livin' in it..
who ever said na walang muslim sa luzon?

No it's possible. An example would be west guniea(forgot its name) which seceded from Indonesia a few years ago because of the difference in culture.
You got it wrong, it's no Mindanao as a whole, only muslim mindanao which I think starts from Lanao. And christians were able to colonize Mindano through land grabbing and such.
