There is a discussion at the school I am currently attending about the intrument that is a "spoon and fork" commonly referred to as a spork.
people are beginning to disgrace the name of the mighty spork
they are calling sporks foons!
what idiot says foon?
Well, i think its a disgrace.

Spork is a sacred word of power. it's uterance summons forth imortal wisdom. +4 wisdom in fact. the term foon is one i havent heard in many an age, since before the brutal gods were slain. it roots lie in Vulgar magick. i will not speak more of it.
needless to say, foon=ungood: Spork=+4 wisdom

A "foon" is a poser-spork. Foons should be boiled in oil, then fed to rabid knirks (knife-forks, FYI).

I'm probably going to be murdered virtually for this but I chose the foon in the poll. Why? Because I believe that there is a lot of hype around the spork when really, it's pretty much useless. I mean, the foon is useless too, but in the poll, I just picked the one that's the most fun to say. The spork is obsolete((I'm pretty sure I spelled that wrong)). It's usually made out of plastic and with such small prongs, impossible to pick anything up and if you use the spoon function, all the soup falls out through said prongs. It's useless. Sure, it was a handy way for schools to cut budgets by putting a spork instead of a fork and a spoon but really, sporks and foons are useless. Not to mention the prongs bend so easily and the 'spork' end usually breaks off the end

Not to mention the prongs bend so easily and the 'spork' end usually breaks off the end your comments atack not the design, but the construction. that's simply the resualt of poor manufacturing. a well made fork is a thing of beuty. the comment about the prongs being to short makes a good point and while doing so makes light of it's dual class nature. The Red Mage is the Spork of final fantasy. A Red Mage can cast white and black magic, as well as mix it up in melee combat. what keeps the Red Mage balenced with other classes is the fact that the red mage connot do any of those three thigns as well as the a class that specializes in one of them. A Red can cast cure, but not as well or frequntly as a white mage. A Red can cast fire, but not as well as a black mage. A Spork can stab with it's prongs, but not as well as a fork. A spork can hold broth, but not as well as a spoon. The advantige of the spork is it's versitility; it's an efective tool in any situation. you cant eat soup with a fork and you cant eat steak with a spoon, but a spork can do both. think about it like this. im going to rate each utensil baised on two catagories. Stabbing and scooping. Fork______________Spoon_____________Spork Stabbing=100______Stabbing=0_________Stabbing=75 Scooping=0________ Scooping=100______Scooping=75 When you add that all up, both the fork and spoon= 100, while the Spork scores a 150. Thats a 50% improvement over the fork or spoon. By taking a series of low impact faults, teh Spork maximises it's stats to level ratio, just like the Red Mage. biggrin
