So I'm about to move into a new place soon. This will be our first home that we actually own and will pay a mortgage on. Therefore, I can do whatever I want with decorations and paint. Yay!
I had an awesome idea for my office room. I'm going to paint the walls a light purple (not the bright kind of purple, a softer shade), and then I had a bright green chair I bought at habitat for humanity for only 25 bucks. So the theme of the room will be purple and green. These colors:
And then I'm going to hang Anime artwork on the walls. When I tell my family these colors, they cringe. But I think it's gonna look awesome.
Anyway, I was wondering...if you had an unlimited amount of money to spend on redecorating your room, how would you decorate it? Would you go with a theme? Pick wacky colors? I wanna know!

Not thinking about that yet. xp Though I have a plan...one of our extra rooms is blue. And this room will be purple. So if it's a girl, she gets the purple room. If it's a boy, he gets the blue room. It'll save me some trouble of repainting, lol.

I think you'd make a great mommy XD then again my goal is to live my life childless XD and get a cat XD HAHAH -hugs you-
THough I like it, are you going to be doing any kind of chair railing? like keep the botton a white and paint it acollor above? or doing any type of accent walls?

I do want to be a mom one day, but don't want a large family. Maybe only one or two kids. But I plan to wait until I'm 28 or 29. So maybe in another 5 years or so. I've got a cat though in the meantime, so she's my baby.
I was thinking about painting the lower half of the wall a darker purple, but I'm gonna see how the single color looks first. And if the double color looks really good, I can get the chair rail next. Just gonna play it by ear.

You'll have to take lots of pictures XD then again you are a good enough of artist you can like paint a whole scenery or anything XD LOL have like a massive neko girl popping outa the wall XD just for kicks XD (im teasing ) but yea, Personally I have always liked the victorean style and the japenese styles when it comes to decorating and painting XD thats how my apartment looks ,its awierd combo but it makmes me happy XD

I'm not that good of an artist to paint a mural, especially anime. I may be able to do computer art, but not as good of real art. But I am going to hang a framed acrylic painting I did of a phantom mask in the living room downstairs.
Yep, most of our house will be Japanese/Oriental style. I have a large red fan in the bedroom, and the comforter is red, black and gold with dragons. And I have my sais to hang on the wall. Dining room will be that style too, and the downstairs bathroom.

Still I dont really like the whole green and purple thing you had up, its like a childrens nursery XD but that is just my preference I guess XD

Hey, those colors are PRETTY different, but the fact that they're near opposite ends of each other will bring them out. Now it all depends on what you decok the room out with. *laughs*

Well the light purple will be the main color. The other two are mostly accents. And the furniture will be black. Does that help it seem less cartoony?

I think I'm gonna go with a pale green, and I want them to be sheer curtains. My artwork that I'm hanging is a watercolor with a pale green background, so I thought it'd bring that out some. I dunno, I still have to go shopping some more and pick out stuff.

xd Actually most of the house colors will be red, brown, tan, and black themed. The only rooms that won't be will be this one, the other upstairs bedroom, and the upstairs guest bathroom. I love earth tones.
