This is Rosalin's room. Please respect any rules she sees fit to add. Rosalin Fletcher The rules of this room are simple. Knock loudly. If I don't answer, you have five seconds to vacate the doormat. If I'm not even there, don't come in unless I gave you permission to do so. If you're in here for whatever reason, don't dig around in my stuff. Actually, it would be better if you just didn't touch anything. Looking to borrow something? The art supplies are off limits, as is my laptop, you little moochers. Books are alright, but if they come back with so much as one crease or new stain, don't expect to see my library again. I keep strict tabs on everything I deem mine, so if you try to pull a fast one on me, expect something large and hopefully dull to come flying your way

Rosy hadn't stopped moving once she had been given the map. The dorm had been close to the pond, a fortunate thing because of her state. Where have my parents sent me? Who are these people? Still her thoughts were racing, even at the entrance of her dorm.
Once in front of her room, Rosy reached for the handle, only to find that the room had already been opened, and that all of her belongings had been moved inside. It didn't matter to her. She just needed to think...
Beings. Beings other than humans. Beings with superior abilities. And what am I? What can a human do? I'm intelligent. But am I really? The last question forced anger into her core. Of course she was! Hadn't she proved that thousands of times? Her temper was slowly rising with every doubt. Rosy was far from happy in her new home.

I can't change my being. I can't heal with my hands. Or can I? It had been awhile since she had stepped into the room to cool off, but it had only made her more rowdy. Finally, after all of the frustration, she grabbed the nearest travel pack. "What was the point of all that!?" she screamed, chucking the small case towards the door where it collided with a crack. Out came spilling her cosmetics, rolling across the wooden floor, resting at her feet. But Rosy didn't care. Everything broken could be replaced. She angrily threw open the door, causing more bottles to skitter across the wood and carpet, and made her way to a more open area.

_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_
Everything was in it's right place. It had taken some time, but everything was unpacked and there. Her laptop was set up, as was her portable art stand. The book shelves were full of her favorite novels and textbooks. The room was starting to feel like a home away from home. Then again, any place away from her parents felt like home. Exhaling loudly, she fell back onto the bed, thinking about her plans for these Keystone students.

Days later, Rosie suddenly remembered that she still needed to get her uniform. With a heaved sigh, she gathered her purse and self, heading out for the clothing store in Moline.

Rosie had just returned from a long visit in Ella's room. It seemed like she had made a real friend in the strange girl, and even more so in that girl's best friend, Colin. As she got dressed for bed, Rosie couldn't help but think of the dashing young man who she had met just hours ago. She was definitely infatuated with him, and he liked her in some way, too, but it was what she would do to keep that connection strong that kept her up for almost an hour more.
Eventually, though, Rosie was able to fall into a slumber in the sweet comforters of her large bed.

The door opened a crack to reveal Colin and Rosie. The room was a bit dark from the gauzy curtains blocking out the soft light from the snowing world outside, but all was sent into a warm glow as her small finger flicked the light switch on to reveal warm colors and a room entirely of her own.
"Well, home sweet home," she said, turning to Colin with a smile. "That was an awesome way to spend the rest of the day. Tomorrow will be just as amazing, I bet."

Colin glanced around. " Nice place." That was a understatement, of course. His boyish room paled in comparison. There was a certain odd elegance to it that bespoke Rosie. Here and there books were piled, bottles were set and little things of hers poked out from shelves. There was information to be gleaned from it all, and he vowed he would take that time.
He looked down at her after surveying the place and smiled. " Or better." The gentle and loving shape of his smile promised that.

"Or better." Rosie inched forward and gave Colin a tight hug around the middle, not that she could reach anywhere else on him, and smiled. It reached into her eyes, but in a soft way. In her heart, she knew just how thankful she was to have him there, even if it had only been a few days since they met. But, they were so alike and different that she couldn't help but want to stay by his side.
"Thanks for the date," she mumbled against his shirt, still hugging him.

He grinned, wrapping his arms about her as tight as they could go without squeezing the life from her. " Anytime, love. Anytime." He looked down to admire her face, an odd expression taking his own features and turning them into something uncomfortably unnerving, but not a bad sort of unnerving.
In truth, he was considering the implications and consequences of kissing her at this very moment, which he had -oddly enough- desired to do since meeting her.

Rosie saw that odd look on his face. It was contagious, apparently, because she soon found herself looking back at him with that same thoughtful, hesitant expression. Rosie knew exactly what she wanted to do, and hoped she was reading the situation correctly, because even if she wasn't, she still found herself going on tip-toe to get closer to him. It was like everything was happening without her saying so.
Please don't let me mess up.

They stood watching eachother for another moment, before he bent his head as far as he could to touch his lips right onto hers in a gentle kiss. Colin hoped that it adequately portrayed his growing love for the pixie a girl, and his equally growing desire to never leave her side again if he had any say in the matter. He knew without any doubt he had and never would feel this way for anyone else. It was funny almost, that moment of perfect clarity where everything; his past mistakes, futile attempts at romance and what have you; seemed to fall right into place.

While Rosie couldn't say she knew that she would spend the rest of forever with Colin, she did know that there was something there that she had never felt for anyone else or herself. Just the kiss itself was different from any other before. It wasn't from some drunken slob, it didn't turn into a voracious make-out session. It was just sweet and full of gentle care, which she needed to feel and give now more than ever.
With her forehead resting against his and still on tip-toe, Rosie smiled bashfully. "Yeah, Colin... I like you a lot." More than she could express.

He grinned, a brilliant and wonderful thing. " I'm glad the feeling is mutual." He dropped a kiss to her forehead, and reluctant tugged away. " I'd better be heading off. You are far too inticing for your own good, Rosie." He shook his head. " You darn seductress, tempting poor young men into your lair with your cute and utterly irresistable ways." A faint smile quirked the edges of his lips, which quite longed to meet hers again.

Rosie looked at him from under her thick lashes. For a moment, she was sorely tempted to take on the accused role, but yelled at herself mentally. There'd be none of that, thank you very much.
"You even said yourself that you like my lair. But, if that's the way you feel..." With a laugh, she walked him back the short distance to the door. "Then you better head back to your own lair of manliness and music." It was only after another quick hug and even more smiles that she would let him go, back to his own room to feel just as confused and wonderful as she did.
