Today was her day off, Sevati was all by herself at the moment. The cubs were with Ravi today, since he asked to take care of them. Not that she minded the time she had by herself, she loved her cubs and mate very much. But, Ravi wanted her to relax and spend the day doing something she wanted, even to go and visit a friend.
Not wanting to let this time to go waste, she walked towards the shoreline and let the waves roll over her paws. She couldn't help but giggle softly at the waves, it was almost like they were teasing her. Tempting her to play.

After seeing his father and brother, Zarin couldn't help but feel relieved to know that they knew where he was if they wanted to come and visit him. A part of him wanted to see his mother, but another part of him didn't want to leave this place. To leave Siya. The silvery lioness had a special place in his heart. He couldn't help but feel his heart flutter at the thought of her. One day, he would tell her of his feelings and hoped that she feels the same.
His ears pricked forward as his turquoise eyes gazed out over the ocean. It was very beautiful, a sight that would never dull to him. But, something was sticking out of the norm. A white lioness was walking along the shoreline, a member of the pride? Well, there was only one way to find out. He walked in her direction and called out, "Hello!"

As the waves rolled on and over her paws, Sevati heard a greetings called out to her. She stopped and turned back to see where the voice had come from. Lime eyes settled on a peach colored lion which she has never seen before. This was just turing out to be a good day, she'd get to meet someone new! Her tail flicked slightly as she waited till the lion got a bit closer to her before she greeted him, "Hi!"

Glad to see that the other lioness was friendly enough, Zarin made his way closer to her until he stood right next to her. His tail flicked slightly as he looked over the lioness. She was rather small and dainty, there was something familiar about this lioness. Her stature reminded him of those that came from his former home. He shook the thoughts away as he introduced himself, "I'm Zarin, are you a member of the pride?"

Zarin...Zarin...why did the name sound familiar to her? Sevati couldn't shake the name from her head. She knew she had heard it somewhere before. After the male introduced himself, she nodded her head. "I'm Sevati and yes, I am part of the pride. I am the pride's cubsitter. I take care of all the cubs in the pride," She tilted her head, "Are you looking to settle here? I don't think you're name sounds like any of the members here." Not at all being rude, but merely curious. It wasn't only his name that was familiar about the male, but his stature was something she's seen before. He wasn't tall or buff, like her mate but small and rather delicate looking. And then it hit her, this male was from her former home, the Mistweaver lands! Softly, "Are you from the Mistweaver lands?"

Upon hearing the lioness' name, Zarin introduced himself. "A pleasure Sevati. I'm Zarin and trying to gain acceptance into the pride. I have yet to find myself a job, but I have offer my hunting services to the King and those that are of need of it." He nodded, he was quite adapt in hunting, if nothing else.
Though, Sevati's question caught him offguard. He was speechless for a second. Mistweaver lands? She knew of such a place? And then, taking another glance at her, all the pieces fell into the puzzle. That's why she looked familiar, she was of his former place. But, normally those lions were grey, not with red on them...unless she wasn't a full-blooded member like himself. With a slight nod of his head, "I was born there, yes. I'm surprise you know of the place, actually. It's not that well-known. How do you know of it?"

Quite proud of herself that she had picked up that little detail, sometimes Sevati could be on the naive side. "I figured as much, with your stature, you reminded me of the lions of my homeland. I was also born in that place but my family was promptly kicked out." She shook her head, how ironic it was to find another member of that dying pride here, of all places. "I just had to be sure, because the last I remember, the pride was slowly falling apart."
Pushing all evil memories aside, she asked brightly, "What brings you here to the ocean?"

His eyes widen slightly, what were the odds of meeting another lion of his former pride? Very small, if Zarin thought about it. But, he could tell by Sevati's body language that it didn't bring up good memories, not that it did to him either. It was the place that his family was together before they left. The last place he remembered where his mother and father were still together....he shook his head, to rid himself of the thoughts.
"I was trying to find a place to settle down. My family relocated to the desert, but there was just something about that new pride that didn't sit well with me. I was too restless, too unfulfilled there. I felt like I was missing something, so I went in search of what I was missing. It was during my travel when I ran into the ocean for the first time and met my best friend here, who is a member of the pride. She's the one that convinced me of staying here and joining the pride," He paused before continuing wistfully, "I couldn't be more happier here."

As the peachy male spoke, Sevati knew that they would get along just nicely. And it was just a plus that he was together with Siya! She smiled brightly, "That's good to hear! The ocean here is a wonderful place, and the lions are very friendly. I'm sure you'll settle here in no time." She nodded her head truthfully. "My father is from the desert and while I've never actually been to the place, I can't imagine living without water. I love the water, so it was only natural that I was attracted to the ocean."
And then, she tilted her head, "Who have you met here in the pride?"

At the white lioness' words, Zarin knew they'd get along just fine. He smiled softly, "Don't worry, you're not missing much by not seeing the desert. All it is, is a bunch of sand everywhere. There's very little water there and it's so hot, all the time. I just couldn't get used to it. I missed the water and coolness it brings."
Her question brought a light blush to his features. "Ah yes actually. I've met your mate, Ravi. Siyasura and her father. Other than that, I haven't really met too many members of the pride."

Lime green eyes picked up the reddening of the male's cheeks as he spoke of her friend's name. Sevati's attention was caught immediately. "Oh you know Siya? She's a good friend of mine, and one of the first members of the pride I have met." Her tail flicked slightly before she gave the male a cheeky grin. Oh, now for the fun.
"But, the way you say her name implies something more..." She let the words die off dramatically before putting a shocked expression on her face, "Are you...in love with Siya?"

Uh-oh, he had been caught. Zarin was about to deny it when his voice got caught in this throat as the blush spread even more across his features. After a few seconds he nodded, "I see you've caught me. Yes, I do love her very much, but I haven't yet told her of my feelings. I want to wait till a good time for that." It had to be the best time before he would tell Siya of his feelings for her. And her father, oh he'd have to tell Tamba too.
But, his face lit up considerably, "You are good friends with Siya? That's great! I guess we'll be seeing more of each other then, hm?" He thought of the silvery lioness and smiled when he thought about Siya. "Did you play with her in the ocean?"

A soft squeal escaped from Sevati as she heard the male's confessions! Awww, her best friend had found love in a most acceptable male! She definitely approved of him, that's for sure! "Awww, that's wonderful to hear! I can't believe it, I was almost afraid that she wouldn't find someone of her playfulness to keep her entertained, but you're exactly what she needs!" She nodded her head truthfully, she liked Zarin.
"Oh yes, Siya is my best friend. When I first met her, we played in the water together and had a blast. It was so much fun, we do it often enough, whenever she is not busy," She added as a teaser, "With you now!"

The female's words made Zarin's face heat up even more before he felt relief wash over him. If Siya's best friend approved of him this much, then hopefully her father would be the same way. He smiled brightly at the female, "I am very happy to hear of your approval, and trust me, the last thing I would do is see Siya's face sad." He spoked earnestly.
And then, he listened to Sevati talk about playing with Siya all the time. He knew about that, he played with her a lot and spent a good portion of his time with the female. "That is how I met her too, in the ocean." He spoke softly before glancing up at the sky, "Oh dear, I don't want to keep you for any longer since you might have things to do and I should get back to Siya. I hope we run into each other again, Sevati, though I'm sure we will!" He bade the female farewell before heading off in the direction of his den.

A large smile was plastered on the female's face before she nodded, "Of course, you are a wonderful lion and just what she needs. I'm glad to have met you before you told her the news so I could look you over!" She teased him lightly.
And then she bade him farewell as well, "Don't be a stranger, Zarin! My den is always open to friends!" She called out to his fading figure before she turned and went in the direction of her own den for a nap.
