Grove Academy, like any good school, needs rules to function properly. Please read all of the rules and post in this thread. You have one week to sign after you join.

1. All participants must obey Gaia's TOS. One violation, you're gone. No exceptions.

2. Literacy is expected. Chat speak is allowed only in the OOC/Chatterbox forums.

3. Role play is to be conducted in third person format. That means using He, She, It instead of I, and using Quotation marks for speech.

4. No Powerplaying or Godmodding. This means that you're vulnerable and not all powerful. Keep the Mary-sue, Gary-stu population to a minimum: give your character personality flaws.

5. All students MUST check in at the Principal Teacher's office before posting. This is done in RP format please. You must do this for each character you have. HOWEVER, other than your initial introductory posts, please do not further role play in the Principal Teacher's office. Use the Headmaster's office if you need to contact a school official

6. You must receive permission before creating a Keystone Student. Only those people who have shown previous aptitude for Role play will be allowed Keystone students.

7. Please read the storyline...Please. I wrote it for a reason....

8. Read #7. Human characters know about the Keystone students' "weird" powers, but not about the Gateway or the war.

9. If I tell you to change something, don't argue. I'm a fair person, but I'll hold my ground if I have to.

10. In order to keep up with the story, please read the current events announcement. It'll change every time something happens in the Guild. This will give your characters something to do if you're stuck.

11. If you must conduct "marathon" RP sessions (more than 3 pages in a single day with one person only) then please take it to one of your dorms or a forum that's not being used.

12. Re-Read the rules dears. Love them for they shall keep you safe and happy. heart

I'd like to point out the new structure. I'm instituting a new design that's intended to give more purpose to all the characters and make it easier to find things to RP about. I've been getting some constructive criticism about the lack of human involvement.

Ok so here's what's new:



1. Storyline updates. It's a little back story I'm writing about the "gateway" and I'll update it every now and then. It should prove to be a little interesting (and potentially badly written)

2. Plot happenings. There's another announcement with things going on around campus. This will tell you what you can RP about - events, I like to call them. I have one general update about what is going on, one update about what's going on with Keystone students, one update about the Regular Grove students, and one update that tells you what both sides know. That should give you plenty to do.

3. Wiki - Grove is a constantly updating thread so check it regularly. I've got special terms listed and definitions of the realms as I'm getting them worked out in my head. If you're lost about something or have a question about what's going on in this wacky world of mine, check there.

4. There's also a handy FAQ in the Wiki section based on a few actual questions I've received and some I've thought up myself. This might help you also

5. Introductory posts are now to be made in the Principal teacher's office. No RPing other than the introductions are to be conducted there. If you need to Role play with a school official, please go to the Headmaster's office.

6. If your RP partner or someone involved in a group you're playing with neglects to post for three days in a row which results in a stalling of the RP, you may go ahead and RP without them.

I have read the rules, and will hereby abide by them, for they will indeed keep me happy and safe.

So, now all I have to do is actually create a character. Hm...

I, Arondis, have read the rules and promise to kinda, maybe, sorta, if I feel like it, try to follow the rules stated by our wonderful Wisdom....well, by Gleesh I suppose, but always Wisdom to me. wink
