Tabor sat alone in a darker part of the forest. His black and green colors blended nicely with the shadows and rich greenery, but his bright white stripes and the ominous number thirteen stuck out like a sore thumb. He was taking in the atmosphere, the calm and quiet he never got a chance to know back home. And he was sulking a bit as well, as his luck had seemed to be getting worse over the past few days and he could do nothing about it. So he sat, eyes closed, listening to the quiet sounds of the dark woods.

Julia was walking through the forest, feeling very at ease. She often came to woods to be alone, and she often went on walks by herself. She didn't care if she got lost, she had no where to go back to anyway. She liked being by herself because it made her feel secure. No one was watching her, and she could be herself. She did sometimes wish that she could be around others more easily, but she was just scared. But in her mind she didn't need anyone anyway. She was perfectly fine being alone. She was walking swiftly and easily until something white caught her eye. She stepped a little closer to see what is was, and then she froze. Someone was there. She tried to be quiet as she turned to walk away, hoping they didn't notice her presence.

Tabor perked his ears, a disturbance in the feeling of the darkness. He lifted his head and looked around, trying to find whom exactly was wandering around the part of the wood. His fear was that it would be one of his 'roomies' coming to bother him. He caught the sight of pale blue, squinting to see whom it was. "Hello?" he called quietly, not really wanting them to respond, but still wanting to know who was there.

Julia winced. They had seen her. She hadn't wanted to talk to anyone. She wondered whether or not to respond, and finally decided she might as well, since they already knew she was there anyway. She sighed and then answered back, "Hi.." She kept walking by, hoping that they wouldn't stop her any longer to talk. She was a lot more tense now, paying close attention to her every step, and every now and then glancing over at the other namir, still not being able to tell who it was. Not that she really cared who it was. She just wanted to be by herself.

Tabor twitched his ears, trying to match the voice to a face in his mind. It wasn't working. He walked closer, keeping his three foot range, trying to get a better look a the intruder. He never stopped to wonder why he didn't just let them go. Why he didn't just get back to what he was doing. Mostly because he knew he had grown bored...maybe a little lonely...He kept quiet though as he walked.

As Julia kept walking she realized that she was being followed. She began to get paranoid, but she tried to keep her cool. She kept up the same pace, hoping it was just coincidence that the other namir was headed her way. She resisted the urge to look behind her and kept her eyes directed on her path.

Tabor was following, trying to get a better look at the Namir, but no such luck. He tripped on a tree root, rolling forward then stopping as he hit another tree. That had hurt. He sat up, forgetting about the other Namir, and rubbed his head. It wasn't bleeding, but he was sure he'd have a bump there later.

Suddenly Julia heard a change in the footsteps behind her, and then a thud as Tabor hit the tree. The urge to look back got the best of her and she turned around to see Tabor laying in a heap on the ground. She sighed and rolled her eyes. She stood motionless for a moment, wondering if she should just keep walking, or if she should see if he was ok. She looked at him again, and this time she felt sympathy for him. He was the only namir who had ever attempted a conversation with her, and even though she pretended she didn't care, she knew it made her happy. She didn't want him to be hurt, and she didn't want to just leave him there. She walked over to him and crouched down beside him. "Are you ok?"

Tabor looked up at her, realizing quickly how close she was. He tried to stand up, finding his front right paw wouldn't hold him. He fell back down then shook his head. "I guess not..." he said, looking at the paw, "It's sprained....No biggie though." He looked back at her, sliding back a little bit because he knew she was too close for her own good.

Julia noticed quickly how he slid away from her. 'He must not like me very much after all...' she thought to herself. It didn't surprise her. She looked away and wondered what to do. She should probably leave him alone, but at the same time, he looked like he might need some help. She looked back at him, eying his paw to see if there were any signs of a brake. But she couldn't tell by looking. She sighed, "Well, just try to stay off of it. If it's a sprain it should heal fine. Are you sure it's not broken?"

Tabor nodded, "I'd know if it was broken...It'd hurt a lot more than it does now..." He sat keeping his right paw close to him so as not to put pressure on it. He wasn't totally sure if he could walk with just his three legs, so he turned his attention to keeping her there, and starting a conversation. "So what were you doing all the way out here anyway? The darker parts of the forest are dangerous..." he asked. Being near you is dangerous too... nagged a voice in his head. He knew this, but couldn't really do anything about it right now.

His sudden attempt to talk to her confused her a little, but she didn't think much of it. "I should be asking you the same thing..." she replied, gazing at his paw. She sighed and looked off into the distance, this time actually answering his question. "I was just walking. I know these woods pretty well."

The cat gave a chuckle, "I'm always out here...It's where I go to get away..." he looked back into the darkness, "Not to mention I don't particularly have to worry about the dangers in the woods." He looked back at her and smiled, "I come out here to think. It's peaceful in the dark." he paused, know he'd never seen her out here before. Though he knew he wasn't always out there, he did a lot of walking and wandering himself, but this was a frequent place for him. "You know, I've never seen you around here before..."

Julia thought for a moment. Coming here to get away, the darkness being peaceful, a place to think...it all sounded about right, not to mention familiar. She looked at him closely now. "I don't think I've seen you either." She deliberated for a moment. "Well, I mostly just wander around random places. I don't stick to a particular spot or anything. It's not like I have anywhere to be anyway." She shrugged.

Tabor nodded, it seemed everyone he ran into never had to be anywhere for any reason. They were just there... "Well then I best introduce myself...I'm anti-social not rude," he started, smiling again and ignoring the unpleasant and somewhat nagging voice in his head, "I'm Tabor, just another wanderer."
