so waht do we talk about in the movie forum... If going by the poll it would be movies based on books and is the book better than the movie...in most cases yes i'd say that however in the Atonement the book and the movie were equally good and the movie surprisingly followed the book

I know some movie versions do a really good job, but no matter how hard anyone tries, they cannot make a movie as good as a book, because: 1) the power of imagination alway wins (yes, cheesy, but true) 2) it is impossible to fit all the content/detail/special effects of a book into a movie because there is not enough time, or the budget is too little and the effects suck, or effects just aren't good enough.
