It was the middle of a bright and sunny Saturday afternoon when Skye made her way back to the Seconds world. She was excited about this visit like she had never been excited about a visit to this world before: She was going to spend not only the day, but also the night and the next day with two of her very best friends, Syrus and Suzura.
She had her bag with her, with a large flask of iced tea, a second one of water, and despite her insistence to her mother that Syrus and Suzura would be bringing the food and the snacks, her mother had insisted that she also bring some cookies along, just in case.
Besides, who could say no to cookies?
One thing had disappointed her, though. Though she had brought along a gift for Suzura, she could not think of anything that she could give to Syrus, and so she didn't have a present for him. Still, she tried not to let it dampen her mood as she skipped along in search of her two friends.

'You are walking slow brother! Pick up the pace!' Suzura signed, a sarcastic scowl upon her face, her wings giving a little flutter. She had to remember for right now not to flap them and walk at the same time, but the tiny little buzz didn't seem to do much harm. She was walking backwards, facing her teen brother Syrus, whom being much bigger then her, was carrying most of the stuff, and therefore trudging behind ever so slightly. It wasn't like she wasn't helping, carrying a bag of marshmellows for later in the evening, but being her small size, that was about all she could do.
'Hurry. It will be time for me to return home before we find her!'
Syrus stuck out his tongue as he lugged all the food and his sleeping items on his back or in his arms. Mizu had told them while she didn't mind Syrus staying the night, she really didn't feel safe for doll sized Suzura to be out in the dark, even with two teens watching over her, and that's what his sister was reffering to just a moment before.
"I'm moving as fast as I can, unless of course you'd like me to leave the food behind," he joked.
'Now now brother....let us not act hasty' was the reply

Skye reached the tree in plenty of time and set her bag down, then looked around for her friends. She couldn't see them yet ... but she was a patient little angel, and she knew she was early. But early had never been a problem for her before, and it wouldn't be now.
She made sure her sandals were good and tight, then stepped away from the tree and raised her arms gracefully over her head. She was planning on teaching Suzura a bit more dance today, and it would be best if she were warmed up previously.
She began to move slowly, gracefully, raising one knee and then the other, spinning and jumping and moving fluidly over the grass.

As they neared the tree where they first met, both the seconds caught sight of a certain blue and gold angel that they had grown so close to in just one meeting before. With quick, but tiny, steps, Suzura hurried over to the other angel, extatic at seeing her again.
Syrus came along more slowly, one being that he indeed was carrying a great amout of items, and that he was musing over the fact that this is how they met before, him standing from afar as she lept and twirled on the grass in a graceful dance. After amusing himself with the thought, he picked up the pace slightly, ready to put all his stuff down and sit for a moment or two.

Skye had lost herself in her dance, her eyes closed as she leaped and pirouetted, arms fluid as liquid, her wings tucked tightly against her back - but something in the air around her changed, something ...
She opened her eyes and stopped her dance, looking around to see what it was. She spotted Syrus and Suzura sitting nearby, and she giggled and waved to them, then skipped over to join them.
"Hi!" she said brightly, scooping up Suzura and twirling her around in a circle. She hugged her and set her on her shoulder, then grinned at Syrus and skipped over to help him with all of the things he was carrying. "Let me help," she said cheerfully. "You have lots to carry! Is all for us three?"

Suzura clung to her package of marshmellows as she was scooped up and twirled before placed on Skye's shoulder, where she sat contented.
"Hello there," Syrus said as he handed her one of the baskets. "Yes, the food is for all three of us, though there should be plenty to snack on later after Suzura head's back home. Mom doesn't want someone so small to be outside at night," he explained

"Oh, I see," Skye smiled, nodding her understanding. "Mama would not let me stay here when I was little either. Grandma say it safe, but Celebor, my big brother, he say there danger here for little ones. Scary Seconds, scary animals ... not safe for little ones."
She took the basket from Syrus and turned her head to smile sadly at Suzura. "I sorry," she said softly. "But we can still have lots of fun today, right? I can teach you more dance!"

Suzura placed the bag she had been clinging to on Skye's head if only for a moment to get a few words out with her hands.
'It is fine. Once I get bigger I will be able to do more things,' her hands flashed before snatching up her package of sweet puffy things once more.
Syrus was moving closer to the tree, wanting to put the food items in the shade so the sun wouldn't do harm to it all.
"That will be fun to watch," he said with a gentle smile and a nod as be began to unload. Oh how his back ached. He just wanted to sit for just a moment

Skye giggled and nodded at Suzura when it was safe again. "Yes, soon you grow big, and then you can do more!" she agreed.
She lowered the smaller angel to the ground and brought the basket Syrus had given her into the shade, setting it down carefully. Then she moved to help Syrus unload the rest of the things he was carrying.
"Are you okay?" she asked him worriedly, noting the way he was moving. "You look ... stiff ..."
Her blue eyes were anxious as she looked at him.

Syrus gave a sort of embarassed laugh. "My back aches just a bit. I guess I am not used to carrying so much at once. Just give me a moment to sit down, and I will be fine," he said with a nod as he looked for an empty place of shade under the tree. After moving a thing or two he sat down and arched his back in an attempt to crack it.
Suzura walked over to one of the baskets and placed the bag on top of it, watching Syrus attempt to make himself feel better.

Skye put the rest of the things down and watched Syrus silently, a worried expression on her face. She knew if she had a sore back, her teachers would fuss over her until she was better, they wouldn't let her keep doing more.
"Let me help," she murmured, moving to kneel beside him. "You lay down on your stomach ... I make you feel better, okay?"
She smiled encouragingly and put one hand on his back, nodding at the ground to show what she meant.

"Mkay..." Syrus responded, willing for anything to make the ache go away as he flopped onto his stomach, giving himself one final good stretch, as he felt like he needed it.

Skye smiled and moved to sit a bit closer to him, then put her hands to his shoulders and began to massage him. She knew what good a massage could do, and she knew that he needed it at the moment.
"Feel better?" she asked, moving her hands down to his back after a few moments. She could feel the tenseness in his muscles, and she worked her fingers harder to get rid of it, relaxing his muscles as she worked.

Syrus only nodded as he felt her work out the knots and kinks in his back. Ah, just what he needed. Just what he needed indeed.
Suzura took the time to hop up on one of the baskets to watch.
