I started school on Monday, and that, thankfully, included a choir! biggrin

They're not as good as my senior year choir, but they're still pretty damn good. ^_^;

So, how many of you are in a choir this year that you weren't in last year?

Any adjustment issues? And most importantly, DO YOU LIKE IT? whee

Well.. I'm actually not in choir this year. The school wouldn't switch my schedule around so that I could take it, but I'm going to go after school and take choir that way. 3nodding

I'm in a brand new choir this year. It's fun, I like the people, I like the director, and our pianist has a great sense of humor. But, we're not nearly as good as the choir I was in last year. We're singing a lot simpler music, and it's taking a lot longer to learn things because he actually teaches us the song from the beginning, rather than handing it out and sight reading it immediately in whatever language it's written in. I am having a good time, but it's a little disheartening to be taking a step back like this.

I didn't make my chamber choir. A freshman got in though. So I gave my teacher s**t. He told me "Well we just picked your spot because it didn't seem to mean that much to you." scream WTF????????!!!!!! So I got in his face. And threatened to drop the women's choir. They'd be down to 9 girls without me and I'm the best one they have in their. They claim they want me in Mads though. But I asked how I could do mads without chamber. ): Choir drama.

im starting chorus this year as a freshman and im getting know a few older people in the class and learning new techniques i've never learned before whee and its fun, my choir teacher is fun hes awesome hypermatic guy
and we're giving some acapella stuff a try to get a taste of whats it like for some of us who never done it before, so later on there will be acappella group tryouts for anyone interested
