((He wanted me to post my intro tonight...so))
Xehart slowly climbed into the ring, his forearm blade strapped to his right wrist, forearm, and two straps approximately one third of the way in between this. His steps made little dings on the steps as he descended into the gore stained pit.
Blood, the smell of sweat, and clear signs of battle. Xehart was at home here, and ready to cause some destruction. He looked around at the crowds above him, waiting for his opponent to appear. He craned his neck around its axis, causing it to crack. He then went about cracking his knuckles one at a time on each hand.
Xehart lightly began bouncing from one foot to the other, humming to himself as he did this. Occasionally he would thrust his blade into the air, imagining someone was standing in front of it. He was in the zone.

Bloodsport.
Now Akechi was going to fare much better here then against metas in the other tournaments. He was actually going to have fun here!
"No more stinkin' immortal pheonix ninja kids for me to clobber!"
Akechi got into the ring himself. Standing at 5'11 and wieghing over 200 pounds, Akechi looked like a bear. Or a bull, whichever comparsion his opponent felt more comfortable with. He was wearing a brown bomber jacket, t-shirt, pants, and boots, and deftly fingered a claw hammer in his right hand.
The caucasian mercenary flexed and stretched out briefly.
"You ready for some fun?" he asked in a low grunt. A little bit of courtesy, you know, before everything went to hell.

Xehart smiled as he looked at his opponent. He was wearing a simple black sleeveless shirt, and basic black pants, with a pair of light sneakers on his feet.
"I'm always ready for some fun, big boy. So, you gonna be receiving or dealing tonight?"
Xehart laughed at his own joke. He wasn't quite as big as Akechi, but he was still strong, and certainly faster than his large opponent. Xehart slowly slid his left foot back, getting a diagonal facing to Akechi, his leading foot and hand being the one with the blade upon it.

"Neither. I'll be winning, thanks" Akechi grinned confidently.
"Enough chatter"
The mercenary started to advance on the other man menacingly with small steps, keeping a even posture. He was bigger in this particular fight anyway, and he made full use of that, claw hammer in his right hand, arms, legs, spread out wide and hunched over, in a wrasslin' way.

Xehart smiled at his opponent, and began to slowly advance towards the big guy, keeping his eyes fixated mostly around Akechi's major joints, the elbows and the knees, watching those would be vital in this fight. He needed to know every move his opponent made.
Xehart's advance was different than his opponent's walking manner. Xehart would slide his right foot forward a little bit, before quickly following up with the left, ensuring that he was constantly in position. As soon as the distance between them was no more than five foot, assuming Akechi hadn't charged before that, Xehart would stop.
His right arm would be raised slightly, the blade pointing at roughly Akechi's chin, and his left arm tucked closely to his chest, around n****e level. His breathing was deep and calm, keeping a constant level going, he watched and waited.

Akechi deftly threw his hammer to the other hand, now using the clawed side. He noticed his opponent's eyes darting about. Was his foe thinking about crippling him slowly with superior agility and precision strikes?
"Heh"
He suddenly flexed his right arm and audibly, cracked a joint, it was his thumb as the hand clenched itself.
Then he lashed out with his hammer, holding it loosely, at his opponent's knife hand. Anything could happen. If Akechi could mangle the fingers or control that arm, his foe would have a smaller chance defeating him unarmed.

Xehart reacted quickly, bringing his forearm blade, which was strapped to his arm, and not held in a hand, up to block the clawed side of the hammer. The curved metal prongs that the hammer threatened would meet with the side of his blade, his blade fitting underneath the curved prongs quite neatly.
However, Xehart didn't just stop there, as soon as the hammer had connected with his blade, he quickly yanked back his blade, aiming to rip the hammer straight out the large man's hand. His grip may be fair, but unless he had a mighty strong grip on the hammer, it would slide straight out his hand and fly to the far side of the pit, behind Xehart.

Akechi burst forward, letting go of the hammer and it was pulled out of his hand, he sensed the chance and he instinctively reached for it.
Quite literally.
He had to give the opponent some credit though, didn't seem to get distracted by him cracking his knuckle, as hard as the man appeared to be looking.
Akechi took a massive step in with his right side, and simply, performed a shovel hook with his right fist aimmed up at his opponent's chin.
Which was just a distraction for his true objective, which was for his left to grab onto his opponent's right hand, have the right join it as it finished clubbing the man, smoothly helping him force it up, and then for Akechi to just quickly take a step under and turn and twist into a hammerlock.
As he began to turn under though, Akechi also stuck out first his right leg up against his opponent's right to help control the man's ability to move, and as he finished the turn under Akechi smoothly swept his other foot around to make sure his opponent tripped so that the hammerlock would be completed on the ground.

Xehart was already moving when Akechi made his punch. Xehart quickly brought his head back, pushing off his forward foot to sent his body backwards. Akechi's fist would fly in front of Xehart's face, missing it by inches.
Xehart was a kind individual though, and wanted to lend Akechi a hand, two in fact. Xehart raised his hands quickly, their grip making their way to Akechi's moving wrist, and yanked it in the direction it was already traveling. The move was designed to throw Akechi to the floor, using his own force and weight against him. His momentum was already travelling with the punch, by pulling on the arm, it should knock Akechi off balance, and throw him to the floor.
Xehart now had his feet together at this point, and hopefully had his arms around Akechi's arm. His quick dodge backwards would also avoid Akechi's reach at his arm.

Quote: Xehart was a kind individual though, and wanted to lend Akechi a hand, two in fact. Xehart raised his hands quickly, their grip making their way to Akechi's moving wrist, and yanked it in the direction it was already traveling. Which was, upwards and to Akechi's left. Nevermind Akechi's large, and deliberate movements that'd keep him pretty stable anyway, but he didn't see how shorty was going to throw him to the ground by pulling in the same direction that a shovel hook, a punch that combined charactistics of a hook and a uppercut, was going.
"But thanks for giving me your hands!" Akechi thought fiercely as he grabbed at his opponent's right hand with his left to prevent him to detaching and getting away. In a contest of strength, there was no doubt who'd the winner'll be as Akechi gave a shout of defiance and pulled his foe toward him with his entire body.
Of course, right into a nasty sidekick into the gut, delivered by his right leg as it shot up. The forearm blade wouldn't strike Akechi at all, it, and the arm it was off, being off to the side in relation to Akechi's body as it was pulled there.

Xehart grimaced as he was gripped by his opponent, until he saw an opening. Akechi had left his defense's wide open by gripping Xehart. He would allow himself to be pulled toward Akechi, and make a move of his own.
As Akechi pulled Xehart towards him, Xehart allowed himself to be pulled very close to Akechi, in fact, their chests were touching, with Akechi's right arm pinned between the two fighters, with Xehart's left arm and hand gripping the arm from the top, like a crane grabs a toy in the carnival games. At this moment Xehart's left arm suddenly lurched forward, sliding off Akechi's pinned right arm, his hand moved straight towards Akechi's face, his fingers splayed, and his thumb hooked. He was aiming straight for Akechi's eye. His hand would strike Akechi's face, gripping onto his cheek and ear with his four fingers, and his thumb would guide itself into the man's right eye.
Any notion of a head dodge would be stopped, as Xehart wouldn't strike until his hand found the cheek of Akechi, gripping it for accuracy in his thumb jab. Xehart was aiming to simply pop the eyeball out, pushing against the eye at it's closest point to the nose.
Xehart had no defense for Akechi's kick, and simply had to take it as Akechi struck him just below his ribs. It hurt like a mother ********, and it was going to bruise, but as a sidekick it wouldn't knock the wind out of him, and as Xehart had allowed himself to get up close and personal with Akechi, his mid-thigh would be the part of the body to strike Xehart, rather than a foot.
