Pacing a loose circle around the clearing he so often waited for Athena in, Imri rumbled to himself. He hadn't seen his lovely lady in a day or two, which wouldn't be too particularly terrible... But he missed her nonetheless...
"You are making me dizzy." Akaria murmured serenely from the shade of a bush, tilting her head and watching the young stallion pace. "Your Lady will arrive in due time..."
"Father will be here soon..." Imri rumbled. "I had hoped to speak to Athena before father arrived... So that we could meet him as a couple..."
"Patience, Imri, son of Sibalto." Akaria soothed, flicking her bushy tail. "All will be well..."

All was well enough, although Athena had found herself slightly delayed...with a gently rounding stomach, she was finding it more awkward to remain in flight for very long. Not as familiar with the lay of the land from the ground, it was taking some time for her to delicately pick her way through the forest upon cloven hooves, her tail swaying back and forth. In due time she caught sight of the clearing, and despite herself her hoofsteps quickened. "Imrikalto," she breathed softly, entering the clearing. "I'm sorry I'm late...I was...delayed." She cast a smiling glance back at her stomach, and then to her shadow-grey lover. "I hope that you might forgive me?"

He spun as he heard her approach, heart nearly soaring in relief. She was alright, his beautiful fallen star. He cantered across the clearing to her, nuzzling at her face, neck and wings as he listened to her words, noticed what she meant. What she meant. "Athena." He breathed, taking a step back to let her further into the clearing even as he eyed her new state. His beautiful mate! "Nothing to forgive, My Star..." He crooned, nuzzling her cheek again. "Never anything to forgive, Dearest one..." He... He was a father... The realization crashed over him, making his heart speed up even as his soul soared. What a gift from the spirits! "Oh Beautiful Athena..." He sighed softly, gently nuzzling at her belly. "This is... This is wonderful..."
"Congratulations on so wondrous an occassion..." Akaria murmured from her position atop a small rock, her smile wide and truely happy. "I wish you much happiness, Lady Athena, Lord Imri... If you don't mind my parting, I believe the Silver one will be here soon.. I'll go make sure he won't get lost..." She smiled and nodded, leaping down and trotting to the trees.

Murring with happiness, Athena rubbed her face gently against her mate's neck, breathing in his scent. His reaction was no less than she had hoped for, knowing her Imrikalto and his love of her. At the slightest fluttering within her abdomen, her beaming smile widened. "Did you feel that, my love?" she whispered, silvery eyes practically glowing with joy. "They stir already..." She paid little mind to Akaria's departure, trusting the little fox to do her task well and caught up in the moment with her dear Imrikalto.

Akaria paused for one last glance at the couple before she melted into the trees, a wide grin on her maw. She pranced along, strides speeding to a trot as she followed her nose along the path. Sibalto would be along soon, the stallion and his habits well known to her, and she was eager to see him. This news of his son's was wondrous....
Imri laughed in delight, winding around so he could rest his cheek against the bulge of her belly, rubbing at the silk of her coat gently. He laughed again when the foals within responded to the touch, nudging at them again gently. "Hello in there.." He rumbled. "I am Imrikalto, your father... And I cannot wait to meet you..."
Sibalto made his way through the trees, head cocking now and again to listen to the woods around him. The scent of fox told him he was on the right path, and soon enough he was peering onto a little path that held the impatiently dancing Akaria. He smiled at the sight of the starlit fox. "Take me to my son..."

Athena watched with a gentle smile, heart nearly overflowing with love and contentment. She didn't know much of the practicalities of being a mother, but she imagined that it wouldn't be too much harder than babysitting the foals of others. A gentle nudge, but firm, to set them on the path when they strayed, and their little ones would do well enough. After a time, hoofsteps crunched lightly upon the forest floor, and her ears twitched as she turned her head. "Somebody there?"

Imri had rested his chin on his mate's back, ears pitched forward to catch the slightest sound. He pinned his ears for a moment, then snorted, a smile crossing his face. He could hear the faint muttering of Akaria, no doubt she was scolding his sire for something or another... "Father." He smiled, sighing the word as he nuzzled his love's neck. "He's here..." He stepped around her, perking his ears and he whinnied. "Father."
Sibalto nosed the fox and leapt to a trot, winding through the trees like a sleek silver cat. His steps were soft, rythmic music, tail flagging behind him as he moved out of the shadows. He smiled at the sight of his son, moving forward to bump cheeks and rumble a greeting. "Imri.. It's good to see you..." The silver stallion paused tilting his head as he caught sight of Athena. "Good day, Lovely Lady..."
Imri smiled and spun, sidling over to Athena. He flicked his tai, wrapping it around her's and letting it curl over her hooves. "Father, this is my lovely mate, Athena... Athena, this is Sibalto, my sire..."
Akaria sat at the edge of the clearing, smiling as she curled her tail around her paws and watched the family.

Athena leaned into her mate's touch for a moment before striking a graceful bow as Sibalto entered the clearing, perpetually-tousled mane rippling like a silvery waterfall down her neck. "Good evening, Sibalto," she murmured, tail winding about the silken hairs of Imrikalto's tail. "You are faring well, I presume?" At another small movement within an ear flicked back, her only hint of discomfort. They were certainly active little ones...hopefully she'd be able to keep up once they were up on their feet.

It had been a long journey. Quite a bit longer than the dark mare had expected really. And it had been even longer since she had been this far away from her home.
But--she had come. With a promise of meeting her son Imrikalto's 'special' lady friend. In all honesty she was curious to see who this mare was and really what was so special about her that she had caught her son's eye. It was odd thinking about her children in this way. All grown up, loving and having families of their own. Well, as far as she knew Dafina was the only one of the three who had had foals anyway. Perhaps it was about time that the whole family got together and caught up. It would be a good sight to see everyone together once more. Though she worried about Ferrao. He seemed to be missing and Firefly had yet to see any sign of him since he left once grown.
Her long tail lifted and gave a graceful sweep back and forth as she followed behind her mate. His pace seemed to have quickened. He might of been in a hurry but Firefly knew that there really was no need. So she took her time. Taking in the sights around her and drinking in the sounds. It truly was a lovely day.
As Sibalto made his was out of the shadows of the path, she too followed him. Coming to a quiet halt a few feet behind him, dark red eyes locked on the sight of her son. And soon her gaze was quickly pulled to the blue mare who seemed rather rounded. Eyes lidded lightly as she pursed her lips.
Well she certainly wasn't expecting this.

"Imri, your mother is just behind me..." Sibalto moved to say, turning as the dark mare stepped into the clearing. "Ahh.. Nevermind, here she is now..." He turned back to Athena, bowing in return. "Well met, Lady Athena, Beloved of My Son... Please, do not strain yourself.. I am quite well, thank you, and this is my Lady Firefly..."
Imrikalto nuzzled Athena gently, then smiled, stepping sideways. "Mother. I am so glad you came too..." He hesitated, noting the expression on her face and in her eyes, and flicked an ear back, suddenly worried. Hopefully he wasn't about to get scolded in front of the mare he wanted to give his life to...

At Imrikalto's display of nerves, Athena shifted ever so slightly, silvery gaze flickering between her mate and his parents. "Greetings to you as well, Firefly," she said quietly, bowing her head in respect. There was a formidable spirit behind those red eyes, and the alicorn guessed that it would be wise to remain in her favor. "I regret that we could not arrange this meeting sooner...but what will be, will be. I hope you, too, are well?"

She often had that slight air to her that made others nervous. Especially those who did not know her all that well. Her children, her mate they all saw the softer side of the darkness the most.
Clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth, Firefly moved next to Sibalto. Giving him a quick glance before looking towards her son again and the blue mare. A solid look, unwavering. Feathers rustled gently against the side of her neck as she bowed her head just slightly. Unlike her mate, Firefly was not one for grandiose introductions of colorful words and sweeping bows.
It was a bittersweet meeting. She had hoped that any mare that Imrikalto had favored would be brought to her before...this kind of thing happened. It would have been nice to known who was being tossed into the family. "Yes, well. Apparently Imrikalto has picked up on his father's bad habit of leaping before he looks." She snapped her long tail against Sibalto's flank, squinting an eye at him. "As well as one can be in this type of situation."

Imrikalto took half a step back, a look of pain flitting across his face. His mother was not the only one surprised about the news of foals, he himself had learned only moments before his father had arrived... And was still staggered by the news. It was hardly fair for his mother to be mad at him about it! "I too had hoped you would meet Athena before things grew between us." He murmured, winding his tail around his lady's haunches with a subtle flick even as his voice smoothed with courtly charm -bland and neutral. "However, fate has sped things up... I hope you will join us in welcoming new lives to this world, and new hearts to the family..."
Sibalto felt the glance as though it were a glare, flicking an innocent eye to his mare. He had no knowledge of this grand occurence, either the finding of his new daughter or the knowledge she was heavy with his grand-foals... But Sib was a creature of joy -as ever- and welcomed her easily. After all, he had no knowledge of Dafina's stallion, or her family... And even Imri had only had the most fleeting of meetings with Ramus... Yet both stallions had adjusted to the knowledge the princess of the herd was in love and a mother... "It is my greatest pleasure to meet so lovely a lady." He rumbled softly. "I confess it is all I had hoped for my children to find their own joy... I am glad Imri has done so... I welcome you to my heart, Lady Athena..."

Normally a gentle, unflappable sort of mare, Athena couldn't help but fluff her wings slightly in unconscious defensiveness at Firefly's words. She was as surprised at anyone else that new lives would be joining she and Imrikalto so soon, but what could she do save take every measure that she could to ensure that the foals grew up healthy and well-loved? "I did not have the most...conventional...of foalhoods, madam, sir...but I can assure you I will do my best by these foals and your son. I could promise no less...your son is all I could have hoped for in a mate, and more." She bowed her head. "I know not what else to say..."

Most of the time Firefly could of cared less about back stories. Or how one was raised. It wasn't someone's past that you defined one by, it was how they were in the present. And her past wasn't the most comfortable of things to talk about anyway.
She sighed lightly. Almost inaudible. Well, she supposed. You couldn't help things sometimes. And in all truth Firefly wasn't as close with the boys as she was with Dafina. But still, in her mind she would of liked to think Imri would have come to her at least in the beginning before Athena was heavy with foals. Or even to his father so that he could come tell her. The dark mare liked knowing what her children were up to, without having to go snooping around. Surprise or not. It felt a bit bittersweet to her.
Closing her dark red eyes for a moment, another quick flick of her long tail came. "I at least expect you to bring whatever grand children you give me to see me before they are adults, Imrikalto. At least once they are up and running around. And you should visit your sister and her mate as well. At least catch up and meet your nieces and nephew."
