Rock vs. Ground!
Which of these two heard-heads will win?!  Ferrum [1000/1000] VS. Clementine [800/800]

As the two opponents stepped onto the field, a huge screen could be seen, showing twelve different stadium types. A spinner could be found in the middle of this screen, lighting up each stadium picture as it went by. Slowly, the spinner began to stop and landed on...
The Graveyard Field!
The stadium ceiling is shut tight in the particular field selection, covering the entire inner area of the stadium in a veil of pure darkness; one that even the Flash technique cannot break through. Grave stones of various types (ranging from crosses to a sculpture of the deceased) were scattered across the lifeless soil; some were still whole while many stood broken and unattended. Near the northern end of the battle field, a single withered tree stands hunched over as though in constant mourning of those who rest for eternity here. A dense fog weaves in and out of the headstones and hinders vision even more. The fog itself seems damp and heavy, like the tears of the living mourning for the lost.

Lenne strolled onto the field, her headphones blasting while she walked. As she approached her spot in the stadium, she realized what she was actually standing in. 'Agh?! A graveyard?! Why a graveyard?..." Lenne wasn't too fond of "spirits" or at least the side of gravestones and the fog just made everything worse. An eerie chill ran up her spine, as she released Clementine from her pokeball.
"Go Clementine! And don't let the surroundings scare you, we can do this!" A jet of red light shot from the pokeball and Clementine appeared, right in front of Lenne's trainer box.

Jackie shivered as she walked into the Graveyard field, fully aware of every shadow behind every tombstone. "Let's try to avoid tearing up the ground here, okay?" she said as she released Ferrum from her pokeball.
Ferrum nodded in response, treading carefully through the damp ground. The dense fog didn't do much to calm her spirits either, for Ferrum hated getting wet.

Spotting her opponent across the way, Ferrum flicked her tail urgently.
"Alright, I see 'em, Ferr." Jackie said. "Let's start off with a Head Butt!" she said, looking across the field to the other trainer. And so it begins! she thought, savoring the battle.
Ferrum nodded, and began picking up speed to charge at the moving figure across the way. She focused steadily on the small figure, which turned out to be a Cubone. Opening her jaws in anticipation, she barged ahead.

Lenne was prepared for the battle, though she sort of wished they had at least said goodluck first... "Uhm... Goodluck, other trainer...?" She didn't know who the other trainer was, as the fog was so dense she could barely see.
Clementine was was waiting for her turn to attack, when out of the fog came the crashing sounds of the rampardos' footsteps, then her head. Clementine managed to squeeze her way behind a grave-stone, which took most of the damage, but she did feel a small blow.
"Come on Clementine! Let's start out with a Growl attack!"
Clementine let out a ferocious, or what she thought of as ferocious, growl echoing through the graveyard, even surpassing the dense fog.

Ferrum's tail drooped as she caught the sound of the terrifying growl. She looked back at her trainer through the dense fog, a pleading worry in her eyes.
"Get out there Ferrum!" Jackie commanded. "You can do this." she added in a softer voice. "Good luck, whoever you are!" she called back to the other trainer. This dense fog was starting to get on her nerves. "Ferrum, try another Headbutt!"
Ferrum nodded, but confidence no longer shone out of her eyes. That little thing I hit couldn't have made that big scary growl! Who's out there in the graveyard? Nevertheless, she sped up and aimed her skull at the Cubone, now not sure if her attack would be true.

Clementine got hit this time by the rampardos' skull straight in her back, causing her to slump then fall to the ground. She managed to pick herself back up again, and turned to attack the giant.
"Clementine! I hope you're alright." Lenne called out through the fog. "Let's try a Dig attack!" Lenne turned up the volume of her headphones, hoping Clementine would be able to hear it, and help her calm down.
Listening to her trainer's voice, and picking up on the soft music, Clementine followed the words and dove into the ground, waiting for her chance to strike.

"Rampaaados?!" Ferrum shrieked in alarm as the small Cubone flew out of the ground, whacking her on with a bone as she went. Falling back, she accidentally crushed a small tombstone of a long-deceased pokemon. Oh no! Now the spirit's gonna haunt me! Ferrum wailed, looking about in fright.
Jackie was startled as well by the Cubone flying out of the ground to attack her partner. But soon after everything was swallowed up by the fog again. Until she heard her pokemon wailing. "Ferrum, you have to keep a cool head! Zero in on it and try a good Leer attack!"
Ferrum calmed down long enough to scan the surroundings. Her normally green eyes shone bright yellow as she searched out her opponent.

The light shown through the fog as Clementine was paralyzed for a minute by the leer attack.
"Don't let it affect your Clemmy! Just keep going! Let's use Iron Head!" Lenne commanded, she didn't want her opponent taking the lead.
Clementine darted forward, skull-first towards the Rampardos, hoping to make contact.

Ferrum grunted again as the little cubone made contact. "Owch!"
Jackie smiled as she readied for her turn to attack. "Alright, Ferrum - Time to try out Ice Beam!"
Ferrum opened up her jaws as she began to gather energy. The fog grew colder around them. A bright blue light began to glow brighter and brighter, until she released the energy in a thin, concentrated beam at the Cubone.

Clementine managed to escape the ice beam, unscathed, but instead ran into a grave stone, knocking it over.
"Agh! Clementine, watch it! You can't be getting all knocked up out there, or else we won't be able to enter the competitions!" Lenne didn't want her only pokemon getting all damaged, and then unable to participate in the beauty contests, that was one of her main goals.
"Let's seem Clementine, let's try this. Use Toxic!"
Clementine aimed for the rampardos and shot a stream of poison from her mouth.

Ferrum pawed at her muzzle, not liking the tingly feeling the Ice Beam gave her. She grumbled at the fact that her attack missed, but was glad it had made everything colder. Suddenly, toxic poison came flying out of the fog. Rolling behind a tombstone again, Ferrum grew alarmed as she watched the poison eat away at the solid rock. "Whoa."
"Alright, now that we know what our attack can do... Ice Beam again!" Jackie ordered. Her fingers were crossed for Ferrum's sake.
Ferrum opened up her jaws, the ice beam settling inside... and she shot it out in a wider beam than before, aimed at the Cubone again.
