Orpheus was making notes on his clipboard, a smile on his lips. Damaris, he could remember the last class he'd done with her. It was a tail whip class, teaching her to hit a ball with her tail. That had been a good class.
He lifted his gaze from his clipboard to the coiled up boy who was sitting out in the sun. He looked rather miffed over being called out here but they'd already talked it over, Ligeia had helped in countless classes so Terpsichore could live through helping out once...
"Once she shows up I will explain the game." He told his son.
Ter tilted his head back to look over at his father, his many piercing glittering in the sun light and he flicked his tongue out at the man, "Yeah, yeah... I will do my best." He said, so long as he played along he could get this over and get back to doing something fun.
Off to the side was a spiny, chuckling wyvern who couldn't help but be amused by the fact that her boy had been volunteered to help out in a class. First time she'd ever seen him in a class that he wasn't doing to learn something useful for himself.

The strange place that was D-Corp was becoming more and more familiar to the girl as she spent more time here. She had been going to classes for quite a while now and even if her home had changed once before D-Corp was still pretty much the same.
Her self-absorbent blue dragon wasn't trailing her around this time. He decided to have a midnight fridge raid and as a result was sleeping off the contents of said fridge...under lock and key. A.J. didn't seemed too pleased about having to go out grocery shopping again.
Damaris remembered Mr. Solon from her past class when she began to really learn how to use her tail. That class had served her very well. She found all sorts of neat uses for her tail since then so hopefully this class would teach her something new as well.
She came into the classroom in faded denim shorts and a short sleeved shirt that had strange button work down the sides of the shirt, she had a blue tank top on underneath that. She looked around the class with a little smile remembering how unique this classroom was.

Orpheus looked over at the door and a smile appeared on his lips, "Excellent, welcome back Damaris." He said.
Ter glanced at the door before perking up a bit, ah-ha... now this was slightly more interesting. Cute girl meant that he would better be able to deal with this 'helping out' stuff. He pushed up on his coils.
The red haired teacher looked between the pair before nodding, "Alright, today's class is going to be done outside." He told the pair, "Its pretty hot out today so that means its a perfect time as we are going to be testing out how well you can tolerate the heat." He'd done something pretty similar not to long ago with another of his students and was ready to try it again. A modified version though as he'd tried to knock himself flat the last time, to much running in the sun and that pesky being human thing.
"Ter will be helping out, he will be playing with you since he has the same reptilian liking for the sun and heat."

"Thanks, nice to see you again Mr. Solon." Damaris said as she was greeted. She remembered this teacher was pretty nice, there were a few that...rubbed her the wrong way, so to say. But this teacher seemed nice enough.
She looked over at the boy, she didn't recognize him. She looked him over a bit, he was some sort of a snake, maybe a king cobra like she saw on the animal planet, after she saw his hood.
She then turned her attention back to Orpheus as he started to talk about the lesson, heat tolerance huh? Might be fun, "Alright." Damaris agreed with a nod. She liked it outside it was always nice to just walk around instead of being in the stuffy building. Even though Mr. Solon's room was really neat, it still wasn't exactly outside.

"Alright, this way then." He said, leading the way from the classroom that they had all met up in to the elevator.
A short ride and walk later they were outside the front of the building, "Alright, I have a ball here and I want the two of you to hit it back and forth to each other. You can use any body part, arms, legs, feet, head, tail. Just make sure to keep moving at all times." He told them, he wanted them to really work at it.
Ter was half tempted to say that he had no feet or legs but skipped his normal taunt since his teacher was also his father and wouldn't really be affected. He looked over at the ball before slithering over to it, picking it up, "Alright then girl, lets get this over with. I have other things to do then play ball."
He could be off... doing... well other stuff. He wasn't sure what but something, anything.

Damaris placed her hands on her hips and cocked an eyebrow at Ter. "Oh really now, then I guess the sooner you lose the sooner you can leave." She said. She was easy to rile up, and being told that the boy had better things to do then help her out just made her more determined to show him up. Though...she really had no idea how good this boy was at the game.

Ter puffed up, hood flaring and he gave a hiss, "Lose? I don't lose." He snapped at her.
Orpheus gave a groan, well at least the two had the trash talking part of the game down he thought to himself, "Alright, lets get the game going. You can save your taunts for in game." He called, taking a few steps back not wanting to be any near their game.
Ter looked at his father then gave a shrug as he dropped the ball. His tail coiled around it and he flung it at the girl with a fanged smirk.

"Alright then, put your money where your mouth is." Damaris said returning the grin along with the ball. She twisted her hips and whacked the ball with her own tail. She put a lot of force behind it. She wasn't one to really beat around the bush much.
She wasn't upset per se...yet, she enjoyed friendly competition. But she was known to get a little too into the moment. Luckily her temper hadn't taken over yet, just her sassiness.

Ter looked a bit surprised when she was able to send the ball back his way and moved quickly to put himself in front of the ball. He let it hit him in his scaled chest which sent it back her way. He was glad for his thick scaling there, made it so he didn't feel much in the way of pain deflecting that way.
"Well if nothing else maybe he will be to exhausted to cause any problems later." He muttered to the wyvern who was flopped down nearby.
Baroness looked his way then chuckled.

Damaris didn't exactly have the chest to hit the ball back with. So she took a couple steps back as it ascended on her and gave it another solid whack with her tail. It seemed she had been practicing a lot since her first skill lesson. She had grown quite attached to the usefulness of her tail.
She put her 'game face' on so to speak. Maybe this would be pretty fun, and if she could make Ter eat his words it would be all the more better. Though she was still level headed enough to not get to ahead of herself.

Ter slithered backwards to let the ball bounce once on the ground, that way he was able to catch it, toss it to his coils which in turn sent it flying back at the girl. A bit of a smiling was showing now, finding himself actually enjoying the game a bit, "This is actually fun, didn't think you'd be any good but hey, you surprised me." He told her, the end of his tail wagging.
Orpheus was watching the pair in silence. It would take a bit he was sure before they wore themselves out but they were moving around a lot and it was hot so he would see how much the pair could do under the glaring sun.

Damaris smirked a bit, "Well you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover." she said letting the ball hit the ground then before it had a chance to bounce back up kicked it with her foot.
Damaris seemed to be having a fun time, although there was a definite glint of determination in her eyes. She wasn't going to back down easily. She wanted to show this kid just what she was made of.

"Eh, maybe." He said, watching her kick the ball his way and he hit it back in the manner he'd seen people in that fun volley ball video game do it. He shook his arms and decided not to try that again, stupid volley ball. When it was flying back her way me grinned, "To many... ah... books that I have run across have been quite disappointing you see. You should see my older brother."
Not many people who had an older brother who was more like an older sister after all and from there basically all the people he picked fights with weren't much fun either so he'd gotten into into the habit of assuming the worst of people. He was more relaxed now, enjoying himself, so his hood once more flattened out as he waited for the ball to be returned once more.

"Oh?" Damaris said as she returned the ball with her tail again, "Sometimes..." She was saying as the ball went back and forth, "You never really can judge a book....until you learn to read between the lines." She said. She had learned that one from her dad. She wasn't exactly sure what it meant when he said it, but she thought of it to some effect like 'look for the meaning behind their words and actions'. She had a lot of time to think about that sort of stuff when she painted.

Ter gave a groan when he once more deflected the ball with his chest having found this one of the best ways to go about returning it her way and shook his head, "Please tell me your not like my brother in that whole 'I love everyone' crap?" He said, looking slightly disappointed in her.
Here he'd just started to think she was interesting and then she started to talk about readying between the lines... that sounded a lot like the: Everyone has their good points crap Ligeia would talk about.
