People are so imperfect. Your bishop understands that. If it's still a problem, you need to seek his help. Breaking bad habits is to hard, trust me. I have a few myself. You have to really, truly commit to following Christ and get rid of everything in your life that will tempt you to relapse. Since you've made your bad choice(s), it will be harder to deal with than if you hadn't sinned. But Christ understands you so perfectly. He felt your pains in Gethsemane. He wants so much for you to follow Him and be happy. If you put your trust in Him and do what you know to be right, you will be so blessed. Trust me. I've been there.

Did you know the church even has a book you can pick up on overcoming addictions? and groups that meet together to help one another? You are not the only one. Maybe he could help you find other sources of help if you feel you need it.

Shouldn't I stop for a certain amount of time and be sure I'm going to stop before I go to him again? I think that was the mistake I made when going to him all those other times, I had done it the night before.

also I feel a significant lack of real guilt when doing it cuz I started at such a young age its etched into my mind that its normal and I don't know how to fix that. sad

and one more question, do I have to tell my bishop about watching sexualy themed anime (not hentai) just anime that has sexual imlications in it.

should I stop watching anime cuz its really unavoidable when your watching it nowadays cuz its filled with sexual stuff and violence and other things.

I dont know how to avoid it all argh!!

OH! and I have one more question but I cant talk about it in the topic cuz i dont know how to ask it without sounding akward so I need a girl to PM me.

I think you should get a priesthood blessing. That'll help.

And you should go to your bishop whenever you feel prompted to by the Spirit, whether you haven't watched anything for a week or for five minutes.

And if you feel that you should tell your bishop about it, do so. That may help him to further understand your problem.

As per the following question, here's the part where I'm going to get viciously mauled by the rest of this site, but I have accepted my fate as a martyr, so here goes:

Yes, I think you should stop watching anime. Most of it is trash anyway and there are much better ways to spend your time. Today's entertainment is largely garbage; I don't watch anime, I don't even watch TV in general any more. My suggestion is to find a better and more uplifting hobby, maybe a craft or a sport that you enjoy. And if you feel yourself relapsing and wanting to watch something that you know is inappropriate, tell yourself "I'm better than that; I'm a goddess in embryo sent here on the path to exultation and I don't need to sully my mind with useless junk that will only distract me from my true purpose."

Finally, remember to let the Spirit guide you in all things. We're here to help, but we don't have all the answers, nor do we know everything about your situation. But there is One who does, and He'll send His perfect advice straight to you through the Spirit. All you have to do is "ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you".

Okay, I thought I was the only one who didn't like anime. Before I got more involved in the Church, I was a big fan of a certain anime series. I saw it on TV a few days ago and turned it on, but it drove away the Spirit so much that I changed the channel. I'm not saying this to brag or whatever, I'm just relieved that I'm not the only one with anime issues. sweatdrop

1st. Stop blasting anime. It is a judgement call; not all is bad, not all has any more sexual implication than your standard car commercial. Pay attention to what you put in front of your face, don't just ban whole genres as crap.

2nd. Talk to your bishop if you feel that is necessary. He can set you up with a support group, bishop-pay psychologist appointments, etc.
Anyway, if you haven't already gotten a pm from a girl, feel free to talk to me via pm.

edit: you know, that sounded really snappish. Didn't mean to do that (been hanging around the ED too long). Sorry if it offended.

A simple "Not all anime is sexual" would have sufficed.

But just because it is animated, does not mean it is spiritually uplifting, either. Watch for the 5% (or whatever) that Satan tries to slip into the 95% (whatever) that is fun and good!

If you haven't already, you should see the bishop now. We all know its hard to when you know you've messed up but its necessary. As for anime, if you feel that its a big source of trouble for you to slip up, don't watch any at all. Not saying that its all bad, but if there is a problem that has some entanglements with it, letting some in (while it may be clean) opens the door to letting a little more and a little more and a little more until you're back where you started. Best to just avoid whatever may trigger a relapse
