The main means of transportation for the members of the 3rd Squad. It is a large door that can be activated by an officer of 3rd Squad which allows nearly instantaneous access of the squad members to any part of the Soul Society, including the districts outside the Wall.
It is a one-way door, you can go through it from the Squad to someplace else, but you have to come back to the Soul Society the normal way.
There are dangers in the tunnel in that occasionally a cleaner creature might come through.
It can be connected up to the gates on Earth if the emergency warrants it immediately enough.

Zack walks up to the portal looking around cautiously. "This hasn't been used in awhile..." He mumbled aloud staring at it, and walked up closer. "I'll just await my orders here, and wait to stike when I'm needed then..." He thought to himself calmly awaiting further instructions.

Matsuya walks up to the portal. New to squad three, she thought that she should look around maybe meet some of the members. As she entered she saw a shinigami already there. She walked up to him. "Hi. I'm Matsuya."

Zack turns at the sound of a vaguely familiar voice, and smiles seeing a stranger. "Hello... It's nice to meet you Matsuya..." He said with his usual grin as he looked at the new girl. "I'm Zachary Galewind... Is there anything I can help you with?" He asked as he looked around nervously knowing he could be called away at any moment.

"Nothing right now" "He looks vaguelly familiar..." She thought to her self. "I just wait here for orders right? I have nothing better to do being a new recruit and all..."She looked around her,"where does that teloporter go anyway?"

"Yes, you should probably wait with me... It's best not to be alone right now... Are you by any chance the new recruit that's supposed to help us defend squad six?" Zack asked calmly looking at her then went to answer her other question. "This thing... It goes anywhere in the Sereitei, and it also goes to a few other places at certain times..." He said motioning to the teleporter, and then looked back for a response.

"Ok... good." Zack smiled looking at the new tenth seat. "Why does she seem so familiar..." He thought to himself but couldn't recall anything. Surprised by her sudden out burst Zack tried to calm down and answer her. "W-well... Two of our Captains got kidnapped, and we've sent a force to Earth to invade Hueco Mundo, and take them back... Meanwhile... you, me, and a few other people are staying back to defend the Sereitei..." He explained scratching the back of his head.

"Okay. I'll do my best. I just hope that I do not slow you down" She smiled nervously. She was afraid that she'd mess things up. After all she seems to have a habit of doing that. If she's not saying the wrong thing then she's helping at the wrong time. She walked around a bit and suddenly turned to zack. "What seat are you?"

Zack laughed and smiled at the new recruit. "You'll do fine... I doubt you'll slow anyone down." He said trying to encourage her as she paced around. "Oh! Sorry... I'm 3rd seat of squad three... And I appologize for not properly introducing myself earlier..." He said hurriedly trying to answer cause he was embraced by forgetting to say it already.

"Nice to meet you Zack." She calmed a little bit with his reassurance. "Is being on standby always this....dull?" She was anxious and ready to go. Soon she began her pacing again.

Zack smiled laughing a bit at Matsuya's question. "I wouldn't really know... I'm usually fighting, or in the hospital..." He laughed a bit more and looked around the room getting really impatient. He had fought very recently, but it wasn't enough to truly entertain him.

"Someone as strong as you shouldn't be in a hospital!" She looked at him a bit startled by her outburst. Her cheeks turned red from embarassment and quickly looked away and started laughing.

Zack stood silent with a strange look on his face from her comment. He then started laughing for awhile, and steadily stopped to speak. "Heheh... I may be strong, but I'm a little reckless in battle..." He said with a grin after noticing her blush, and turn away.

Thanatos walked in on his rounds, and saw the huge door. The intricit patterns seemed to weeve a picture in his mind. He saw Hollows breaking through and shinigami swarm them, and casualties pile up for both sides. Thanatos blinked and was back in reality. No, we won't let that happen. Thanatos looked up to see Zack talking to a new girl. Her hair flowed behind her like a willow tree in the morning. Wisps of fog coiled around the two, and Thanatos began to walk towards them.
His shoes crunched as he walked close, and the door seemed to get even larger as he got closer. He waved to Zack "Good morning" Thanatos said with a grin, "Just came to check on the door. Seems that no one has come through yet." Thanatos slid his along the wood frame and looked for Zack for a reply, and shivering in the coldness of this particular morn' he snapped his fingers and a wisp of fire appeared. He held it close to him, and he warmed up. "It feels as if the Dead do call for us today. But where are my manners" Thanatos turned to look at the girl. "My name is Thanatos, squad 7, 3rd seat. I will be challenging a VC soon for the spot. And you are my dear?" Thanatos looked into her eyes, with his bright blue eyes, full of life.
