This afternoon I will be leaving for Hawaii, and I'll be gone through the 11th. Now, obviously, I will have minimal to no access to a computer, in which case, I won't be able to manage the squad.
In light of this situation, I appoint Nico Ichigawa (my vice) as interim captain. Listen to her as though she were me. I officially give her control of the squad, including all duties and privileges of a captain. It will be her to whom you address complaints, concerns, etc...
Thanks, and be nice to Nico. She's not as forgiving as I ^^

I'm back (and waaaay jet-lagged), but there's a situation I have to sort out which deals with my status as captain (or potential lack thereof). Sooo, if my character's not arrested or banished, things should continue as normal ^^ We'll just have to see how things pan out...

Ok! This squad has virtually no members, and, I don't know about you all, but I really want to change that. So I propose a competition for the lot of you. The person that can bring in the most members gets a special prize from yours truly (I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of 5000 gold or something).
Here's how it works: go out there and train the newbies. Convince them to join Squad 2. Then, have them post in the 'Request to Join' thread and have them mention who recruited them. For example, if I recruited them, the little newbie would say something like the following:
[insert RP sample here]
Recruited by littlebick (aka Rhia Kuchiki)
comprendiste? I'll let the contest go on for as long as I deem necessary.

Oy oy! All of you, listen up, there's a plot for all squad members to take part in. It doesn't matter your seat, as long as you show up. Tomorrow (the 28th), the vice captains of the participating squads will be mysteriously kidnapped! (So that means, Nico, that you have to show up in the appropriate thread in the main forum). For some unknown/fabricated reason, the captains (that's me) will not be able to help you get your vice captains back...
Soooo, it's up to you! Be sure to be on tomorrow and reclaim your VC! There will be hollows to fight and much, much drama. You all better be there.

Seating Contest!
We've got a few new members who show promise, so I feel rather obligated... Anyway, here's the low-down. All you vets better read carefully, too, 'cause the rules might be different than you're used to.
Ok, without further ado, the RULES:
I award seats based upon RP ability. In the most basic sense, you're all required to submit a character profile and RP sample in the thread that I'll make for this contest. I'll give you all a week to post, edit, and embellish and I'll lock the thread at the end. It usually takes me a few days to make decisions, but I'll award seats based upon who I think is the best RPers. I do take into account whether or not you have your shikai and how long you've been in the guild, but, really, if there's someone better than you who hasn't been in the guild as long, they'll probably get a better seat.
Your profile should contain the following:

Nicknames
Personality
Physical Description
Zanpaku-to Description
-Appearance
-Release phrase
-Shikai (Appearance, Powers, etc... Please indicate Achieved/Not Yet Achieved)
-Bankai (if applicable)

The more description you include, the better. I'll know whether you spent time and actually put forth effort. A good profile will take more than five minutes to whip out, so give this your all!

Here's a test to see... Do You Actually Read the Squad Announcements?It really makes me curious if I'm basically talking to myself in here... Anyway, this is something that's pretty important in terms of this squad and will affect you one way or another. Here goes: As most of you know (though some of you may be unaware), there is going to be a time skip of three years in this guild. That is, the time in this guild will move three years forward. This helps the movement of personal plot along and it helps the characters grow and mature (both in the mental and physical sense). In terms of your own characters, you may take this opportunity to hone and flesh out preliminary shikai skills. In other worse, during this three year span, you character has worked and trained very hard and has achieved new levels of power. For those of you (and I believe it's only Amana, right now) who haven't trained for their shikai, I would think it fair to say that they achieve and are able to hone their shikai in this three year period. In addition to powers, you may flesh out personal plots. In that catagory, and on a more personal level, there will be a major change to this squad. I will no longer be your captain. wahmbulance Rhia dies somewhere during these three years. wahmbulance She's killed by Triox. This will mean: - new captain for you. We're (the crew) still working on who it is, but I expect you all to be just as awesome for them as you were for me. - in the near future, you may see a thread about a fight between Rhia and Triox. Considering that this is a predetermined fight to the death, no intervention will save her, so you'd best stay out of Triox's way. I'd rather your character didn't get killed in the aftermath - I'll be designing a new character. She will be a reincarnation of Rhia, so she'll have some of Rhia's memories and recognizable characteristics. I'd still love to be friends with you all, so don't hesitate to introduce your character to her! It's unlikely she'll be in Second Division, anymore, but she might come visiting, or I'll tell you all where she's gone. I'll be maintaining a little blurb about my new character for anyone who's interested in meeting her in the future. Right now, I've only got her history, so I'll post that. New Character Update: Quote: Name: Mitsukuni Sara History/Biography: Sara was almost nineteen when she died. She was finishing out her last year in high school and had been planning to go to a university in England. Of course, she had friends and a potential love interest and a kick-a** GPA, but it wasn’t always like that. She had quite an interesting adolescence. Maybe because she was born to privilege, Sara had a penchant for flouting authority. She entered a prestigious all girls’ school for the upper-crust sort (the kind where students take off to Paris for the weekend and visit each others’ Swiss chalets…). Unfortunately—and much to Sara’s later embarrassment—she went through a rebellious streak and turned yankee (yes, long skirts, surgical masks, and lengths of iron piping). She played with all sorts of drugs, though she never did care for smoking. While part of her gang, she never let on that she was wealthy. Strangely, the harsh reality of drugs, petty crime, and delinquency appealed to her. It provided a sharp contrast to the false smiles and pretentions of the “high society” to which her family belonged. Incidentally, Sara’s drug of choice was PCP (angel dust). It used to give her hallucinations full of black swallowtail butterflies and terrible monsters. Fascinated by these drug-induced illusions, Sara quickly became addicted. The angel dust made her violent and unpredictable. Under its effects, she could be easily manipulated and taken advantage of, a fact that was not lost on her yankee friends. It was almost too easy to live like this, without rules. She could act as she pleased and escape when she chose. She started fires and broke windows, fought with rival gangs and ran from the police. Trip out when she wanted, do what she wanted, be who she wanted to be. And things probably would have continued in this fashion if Sara and her yankee gang hadn't had a rather violent encounter with a vaizard so months before Sara's nineteenth birthday. Her life would certainly end that night, but her afterlife was just getting started... If any of you ever wonder why I'm killing off a character that I've had for so long, the simplest answer I can give you is that it was time for a change. It has been time for a change for a while, now, and I simply found the best time to do it. In addition, Rhia's death frees up several other characters in their personal plots, and it give me a chance to start over. For those of you I didn't get to know well as a captain, I apologize. Trust me when I say that anyone the crew picks as a new captain will rock your socks just as hard ^^

Time Skip!
The time skip's fast approaching, so you guys should be coming up with what exactly your character's been doing for the past three years! To make it a bit easier on you guys, you can assume that your captain (moi ^^) has been taking the squad on training missions. By this account, your characters will be stronger and faster than before. You can fill in the details of the training mission. Feel free to say you've trained with me one-on-one to enhance your powers.
In your descriptions of what's been up for the past few years, be sure to describe any new facets of your power that's been awakened. Make certain you list any changes in physical apperance as well as in behavior and personality. Be sure to give reasons for your changes.
Of course, you can be as detailed or hazy as you want, but it's in your best interest to really think about how your character has grown and matured. It maybe be easiest to post details of the three-year time skip in your gaia journal and put a link into your profile for easy access.
Rhia dies towards the end of the three years, so you might want to include reactions and/or feelings about the new captain (still not decided, yet).

Right, first....
Seats!
Good job, the lot of you! You all got your submissions in on time (except a certain someone. He knows who he is). And they were all pretty good! (which made my job difficult...) Any comments I have on your profile are in white and you should highlight your own only. Respect others' privacy, please... -_- Anyway, without further ado, the seats:
Your new vice captain is...
Kuraime Shihouin
(A very close tie between Kurai and Torsin. The crew vote was nearly split.) -->You have a very well-put-together profile, and I like the themes and description. My only beef is your backstory. I know you want to emulate Yoruichi, and that's fine with me. However, it's come to my attention that the very beginning doesn't really add up. I guess it seems strange that a *baby* should be able to kill a number of shinigami retainers. Anyway, just my two cents. You might consider fixing it.
Third Seat: Torsin Bali --> Again, I want to reiterate how close the tie was in terms of who got vice. Your weakest point was your grammer, spelling, and punctuation. You have good ideas. I really like your shikai, spirit, etc... Honestly, it's the technical stuff you fall down on. You need to watch for correct comma and apostrophe usage as well as accurate spelling. I like your story and your RP sample, but it's difficult to read when you lack proper punctuation.
Fourth Seat: Haishiro Imitsu--> Lol... You changed your name.. It confused me for a half a second XD Good job with the revamped shikai. I think it turned out very nicely. In terms of criticism, I would advise breaking up your writing into smaller paragraphs for easy reading. I have a little trouble with the backstory. There are some minor technical errors and some of the explanations are a bit hazy. The "wierd hormone drug" is a bit odd, but I can get past that. I guess it's a bit strange that Haishiro is suddenly able to escape and run for miles when it sounds as though he's been tortured and abused... -shrugs-
Fifth Seat: Loki Heartnet --> ... That was *quite* the RP sample. Ever so perverted, which I suppose fits your character quite well. You need to watch spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Try for a clearer description of you zanpaku-to spirits and its powers. It comes out a bit garbled to me. Your history could stand to be longer and you need to explain exactly what a void-using kitsune is... Especially since none of that void stuff comes up anywhere else.. I also quite leary of your illusion powers.
Sixth Seat: Angel Kotoshi --> You did pretty well, but you really copped out on a lot of the description. For instance, you don't at all describe your zanpaku-to powers besides their names. Spelling and grammar could use a boost, too. I guess I didn't feel like you put a ton of effort into your piece.
Seventh Seat: Amana Pira --> Well done for the most part. You certainly have a very unique character. I like your shikai and the powers and limitations you've set on it. It could stand for a bit more description, and I felt like there was more to the backstory. Overall, a good piece, though.
Eight Seat: Casper -_- You were a day late with your submission even after you were given ample warning. You need to be active to gain a good seat.

Time Skip Update!
Be sure to read the Time Skip thread on the front page to get a general understanding of what is going on. You should all be writing up summaries of your character's activity during the three-year skip. To this end, I've provided a thread. Amount of detail is up to you, but it's in your best interest to put forth a good effort.
Note that the time skip picks up during the arrancar invasion of Soul Society. Unfortunatly, we, the shinigami, do *NOT* prevail against the baddies, this time. We are forced out of the Seireitei proper and out into the mortal world. The shinigami will set up a temporary base at Ryan's house, so, when the arrancar come and you are all forced to evacuate the squad, you should regroup on Earth. I'll update this post once I know the name of the appropriate thread and have better details as to what exactly is going on.

About the Time Skip
Sorry for passing on the wrong info. ><
The arrancar's invasion and subsequent takeover of the Seireitei occurs at the *beginning* of the three years. The shinigami forces are pushed out of the Seireitei and are forced to regroup in the human world. There, shinigami forces set up temporary squads and train like mad for a counterattack to take back the invasion.
Starting your summary of what you've been doing during the time skip with the squad's evacuation would probably be an important point. In theory, I (Rhia) would organize the retreat, so all you'd need to do is follow orders (which you're free to make up.) I'd make the unseated NPCs and lower seats get out first with the highest seats, my vice and I as a rearguard. Or, you can stuff the orders and solo it.... -shrugs- Your choice. Organization is nice, though...
Oh! Special stuff:
Here's my official clearance for my Third Seat (Torsin) and Fourth Seat (Haishiro) to learn shunpo.
For my Seventh, Amana, it's stupid to make your character wait three years to learn shikai. Here's my permission to learn it during the time skip.
Be sure to mention these things when you write up your Time Skip summary.

No, wait...
Ok, Tuesday's my last official day as Rhia, after which, it can be assumed that three years have passed and she'd dead. Kurai will be running the squad until a new captain is chosen (since the Vice *would* take over if the Captain falls).
Anyway, I'll be around to help you guys out with non-plot related matters, but other than that, I won't actually be your captain, anymore, so you're not actually allowed to complain at me ^^ Direct all such comments to Kurai heart (lol.. they're all yours for a while XD)
Be sure to read the Time Skip thread updates so that you stay current with the plot!
