[Sai is colored after this 7-colored bird, thus the title. :V] The painted angelic female softly pressed against the lush greenery. Her soft, pale paws pressed as lightly as they could manage on the waxy grass. The field was filled with flowers and lush grass. It was the perfect place to relax. With her comrades parting ways with her, she now finally managed to make the time for herself. Even though she was still searching for the missing ones and still kept in touch with those she did manage to find, it was still...nice to be away for once. Months had passed since they arrived at this place, and no further results turned up after months of searching. She still only found Embry and Seraphina, though she did wish the rest of her companions were here to enjoy the peace as well. Either way, the peacefulness of this field of flowers was overwhelming. She couldn't help but enjoy herself here. With wings tucked in by her sides, she slowly laid down on a patch of soft grass surrounded by flowers of all variety.

Sai was soon to be surrounded by flowers of more than the simple plant variety as Stargazer drifted rather lazily on the gentle air currents of the day to admire the scenery below. The female angelic's white fur and large patches of color stood out rather starkly from above in the midst of the color-speckled green backdrop of the field. He could not help pausing to hover and admire the interesting contrast both between herself and the field and the coloration on her person. Lovely.
The lily colored male drifted toward the ground then, so entranced by the visual appeal of the scene that he almost, just almost, forgot to speak. Touching down carefully among the flowers (he loved them so, he didn't want to crush any!) he flashed Sai a slightly dreamy smile. "Hello... lovely day, isn't it?"
His voice was soft, the hint of baritone in it the only immediate indication of his gender without a far closer examination. He'd been mistaken for a female on sight alone with some amount of frequency because of his distinctly flowery, and distinctly unkitsu like scent. His corrections on the matter when he realized what was going on were gentle enough, but he'd unfortunately had more than one flirtatious encounter end rather abruptly because of it. Ah well.
"I must say, you make a rather striking sight amid all that foliage from the air. If I'm not intruding I would be most honored to converse with one who can induce such aesthetic glory with so simple an action." His manner remained relaxed, his voice soft, and that same dreamy smile intact upon his maw. As pretty as his words were he wasn't actually flirting yet, just being honest.

If it wasn't for his voice, she would've easily mistaken him for a female. His pink flowery pattern could easily be mistaken for a female. Plus his flowery scent added to this feminine appearence. Either way, she was happy to see another one of her kind, even more so because he was so friendly. She watched his careful landing and his soft, gentle steps. He, too, was very careful about the flowers around him. Though she wasn't nearly as cautious about it as he was.
Being the well-mannered female that she was, she sat up with both front paws resting directly next to one another. She flashed a soft smile of her own to his flattering words, though she didn't take it as flirting. The painted female gave a small dip of her chin before answering him, "The honor is all mine, dear sir. You are a rather striking sight yourself. You look and smell as if you were birthed from flowers," she chuckled lightly at the thought, "You blend right in with all these flowers. If it were not for your wings and halo one would easily mistaken you for a flower."

He continued with his dreamy smile, though his eyes seemed a bit less distant after she spoke. "Ah! Perhaps I am! I can't remember my parents but I do remember having flowers around me when I was small. Though perhaps that it is simply the fault of my whimsical nature. I was well taken care of, in any case, so someone must have been looking after me. Hmm..." He trailed off and then shook his head after momentarily chewing on his lip in thought and the dreamy smile drifted back into place.
"You though. You..." He half-skipped around her in a dainty circle. "I might be a whimsical flower but you seem a lovely bird indeed. So many colors! And yet they are gentle and pleasing to the eye. You are a work of art rather than a mere creature, surely, lovely lady."

Even though his smile was rather charming, Sai kept her posture the same as before. She was never an easy one to phase. Though she did find him rather charming, if she had the intention to pursue the matter any further it would be slow. He certainly was a character, though, she admitted. "How interesting. Imagine if some of us were birthed from flowers," She laughed lightly at the thought. It was a silly thought, but rather amusing.
She couldn't help but chuckle at his comment. More than a bird she looked like an artist's canvas full of a beautiful mixture of colors. "Ironic you say so. My name actually means 'paint' in a foreign language."

"Flowers indeed!" He spent a moment musing over the idea, rubbing a paw thoughtfully along his jaw. "Not really a feasible idea, I suppose, but a beautiful bit of fancy at the very least."
He listened intently to the words she spoke and smiled all the while, though his eyes widened and his ears lifted just a smidge in suprise to hear about the meaning of her name. "'Paint'? Really? What a peculiar coincidence!" He actually fluffed up his fur for a moment, seeming genuinely pleased at the idea.
Then his fur flattened and his eyes widened again, his expression growing almost apologetic. "Ah! I am sorry, dear lady, I seem to have let myself be so distracted that I forgot to introduce myself or ask your name! For shame..." He admonished himself softly and shook his head. "I am named Stargazer. It would appear that a lily of the same calling is the flower I most resemble. What lovely name have you been given?"

She watched with interest as his face displayed a wide range of emotions in such a short time. He was a rather interesting fellow, she admited. But he seemed genuine in all the emotions he displayed and all the words he spoke. Honestly was something Sai appreciated rather highly.
"A pleasure to meet you, Stargazer. It is a fitting name for you," she dipped her chin into a small bow before continuing, "My name is Sai. As I already explained it means 'paint'."

Stargazer slipped into a more charming version of his dreamy smile. "Sai. Very short, sort of subtle, and yet melodic. It suits you well."
He gazed about at the surroundings once more. "What might such a lovely lady be doing here abouts today? I must admit it is a lovely day and a lovely place to be! But myself, I think I would prefer to have company." He turned his dreamy smile back to Sai. "Well, if I might inquire. If I am being rude I do apologize."

He was charming, certainly, but Sai wasn't one to easily be charmed over just like that. It'd have to take more than that, and probably a little push too. She was observing, yes, but not observant in all areas of the world or its workings.
"Ah, I was out on a walk. I was distracted by this beautiful field while searching. What brings you out here?" She shifted the attention back to him, curious as to what brought him here in the first place.

Stargazer was quite willing to offer his affections to any other angelic who was willing to accept... but unless he saw signs of interest or he thought that offering such a thing might be in some way helpful to the other he wasn't likely to ask about it. At least not on a first meeting. Even he had realized that he was more free with his love than most. There would be no pushing just yet.
He lifted a paw to tap at his cheek for a moment at her question. "I don't really know. I just sort of felt like going where the wind decided to take me today. It really is a lovely day for a flight, don't you think? I don't really know this area well enough to have a particular destination yet, really." He'd never really had a place to call home, and wandered quite a lot, but this area was not one he'd really been to before.

It would have to take more than a first meeting for her to feel anything beyond simple admiration for the other. Perhaps after a couple more she would come to terms with her feelings and accept everything that came her way. Until then, they would simply just be acquaintances.
"The day is lovely for any outdoor activity," She smiled softly, "An especially nice day to be lazy. Or sunbathing while napping in the sunlight. I enjoy those quite a bit when the oppertunity arises."
