Niyana smiled as she got back to their now quiet home. She could not believe that three of her and Celebor's children were gone for now. She wondered if she should start training Ruque on the home and healing techniques.
She smiled and looked over at her young son in his husband's arms, "Hey Ruque would you care to help me cook some lunch?"

Ruque had been rather quiet on the way home, thinking about his brother and sisters, missing them already, but at Niyana's words his eyes lit up and he smiled up at her brightly.
"Yes please!" he said, jumping to his feet in Celebor's hand. "Please teach me all about cooking! I want to learn! Just like Armus said!"
He had been very happy to know that he wasn't weak just because he didn't want to learn how to fight, and that he would be able to do something for his siblings that they wouldn't be able to do.
Celebor chuckled softly. "And what shall I do then?" he asked jokingly. "Head off for a bit and train by myself?"

Niyana laughed warmly and looked at her mate then to her dear son. "Well Ruque do you think she should help daddy learn to cook too? I think both of you can help me a lot. Though maybe Celebor can catch use some meat wail we prepare the herbs and heat the fire place?"
She winked at Celebor and smiled, We shall do some specail training tonight my love. Slowly she held out her hand for Ruque to come to her. "Yes we will make them all proud and tomorrow we can all bring them a nice breakfast or lunch. Mostly cooked by you Ruque."

Celebor grinned, his eyes laughing, at Niyana. "I think that sounds like a plan," he agreed. "Once we get back home I'll grab my bow and be off."
And after lessons today, Ruque will be good and tired, he grinned at her, so we don't have to worry about getting back too quickly ... perhaps it's time for some endurance training for us.
Ruque's eyes were bright with excitement. "That sounds like so much fun!" he exclaimed. "And I can learn what all the herbs are and when to use them and how much to use ..."
And he chattered on and on excitedly about what he was going to learn and how fun it was going to be.

Niyana brusted out laughing unable to hold it back. Yes they were in need of endurance training. And her body was more than ready to get familiar with her mate's again. They had been rather good lately.
She nods, "Yes you will learn them all and pain killing herbs, healing herbs, and much more. Your siblings will be shocked at how much you will learn." she kissed her son's head. He didn't need to be a fighter or warrior to be a great man. And she was very glad to have at least one of her babies still with her.
We can see who tires out quicker my lord. Ruque does sleep pretty soundly too.

Celebor chuckled softly. A challenge? he asked her. I think I'm up for it.
He saw the cave ahead and set Ruque onto the ground so that he could run ahead of them if he wanted to.
Ruque grinned at Niyana, and when Celebor put him on the ground he clapped his hands together and darted forward through the tall grass, heading straight for the grove in front of their cave.
"I can be just as good as all them!" he cried happily, laughing.

Niyana nods and calls out, "Yes you can Ruque just as good!" she clapped her hand and watched her son take off before slipping her arms around Celebor's left arm. "Believe me I am up for a challenge too."
She was still getting use to the mental link her and Celebor has begun to develop. It was nice that they could talk more privately in front of the kinds and with a bit of practice this mental link could become a very interesting game.

A slow grin spread over Ruque's face when he heard Niyana's encouragement, and he put on a fresh spurt of speed - and before he knew it he was already at the grove.
He flopped onto his back in the grass, panting heavily at the long run, but he was smiling. He had done it! He had made it all the way back all by himself! Now he just had to wait for his parents so that they could start dinner ...
Celebor grinned and put his hand over Niyana's, his eyes sparkling mischievously as he looked at her. "Then I suppose the only decision left to us to make is, where?"

Niyana looked thoughtful. "Well not the water or you will forsure out last me with your breathing trick." she rested her head on his shoulder for a minute. Maybe we should fine a new place to train tonight."
She walked slowly and clamly giving her son time to rest. He was very fast for being so young. If he had raced with his sisters he would have won the race for sure. "Your rather quick Ruque...maybe we will have to had a small running time to your training...as well as cooking and healing."
She smiled and slipped her body form her mates and smiled kneeling next to Ruque. "Well your dad is going to go and get us some meat and we will start with an herb mixture that can go with everything because we don't know what he will be bringing back. And we will have to think of a side for it too."

"Ah, exploring the unknown," Celebor chuckled, holding Niyana close. "I can't think of anything more exciting."
As she moved ahead to kneel beside Ruque, he smiled and brushed past them to get his bow from the cave.
Ruque grinned up at Niyana proudly. "I'd like that," he agreed happily, his breath coming a bit easier now that he was laying down. "But we better get started so we're ready when Papa comes back!"
And he climbed to his feet once more, ready to get started.

Niyana smiled up at her mate and winked before looking back down to Ruque. "Alright are you all ready?" she smiled and stood slowly. "Well then lets see what can we make as a side. Salads are always good though we can have fruit because it is warm. What do you think we should do?" She asked stopping to kiss Celebor before he ran off to the hunt, "Best of luck my lord."

Celebor kissed Niyana warmly before heading off to hunt.
"Bye Papa!" Ruque waved after Celebor; and then he grinned up at Niyana. "Fruit salad!" he said enthusiastically. "That way we can have salad and fruit together!" He giggled and ran into the cave. "Come on, Mama! Let's get started!"

Niyana waved and watched her mate move off. She nods and follows her son into the cave. "Well yes I guess we can do that. Alright well lets see we can put some berries, and apples, oh watermelon would be good too....alright you pick up some of the berries and get them into..." she placed a large mixing bowl on the table. "this bowl."

Ruque grinned and nodded. "Okay!" he said enthusiastically, running over to the storage space where they kept the food. He picked up a berry in each hand and ran over to the bowl, tossing them inside, being careful so that they wouldn't bruise, then ran back and got some more. Over and over he repeated the process, until the bowl was about half full.
"Is that enough, Mama?" he asked, his eyes shining brightly as he looked up to Niyana for approval.
